The work "Ling Feng, Swordswoman of Yue" by Beijing #Dance Academy portrays a female swordsman in the Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 BC). The story is about a life-and-death battle with swordswoman Ling Feng swaying her blade among mountains and lakes. It shows her understanding of the harmony between man and nature. #Chinesedance

The sword throwing and catching parts blow my mind! I know the swords they use in these dances are blunted but I’d still probably find a way to get stabbed in the eye when I look up to try and catch them or something. My hand eye coordination is atrocious. Which doesn’t really matter regardless. 😅 Anyway, amazing work!❤

The scenery shows the apparently unchanging nature of this ancient landscape and yet it is slowly worn away by water and the dance shows the fleeting moments of humanity graceful and purposeful but gone if not for the camera to record them , even the sword will turn to rust and be lost .
