The water affects everything in the axles except for the plastic gears. I suggest doing what I did after i discovered this and coat everything in red N tacky grease or marine grease then you will have no issues. I had to buy all new bearings, pins etc......
I like how you mentioned auburn Washington. Meanwhile it’s totally fine for drug addicts to like on the sidewalk and in all the green belts as well as in front of businesses. I work in Auburn and man has it gotten bad.
I know right? I think the issue is people out on the disk golf courses with bashers or just on the course period with a chance of getting hit with a disk. Who knows why they dont allow RC`s but I called the recs department and they hung up on me when I told them what I was calling for. Thank you sir for your support, very appreciated!
Has anything been done to the electronics are any components of this vehicle to help protect against water damage? Or is it bone-stock other than the tures/wheels?
The ESC was fine. I learned that when you are running this thing you HAVE to turn it off before unplugging it or it will cause the issue that it caused for me. Once I got it home I tried to power it up again and it worked. See my video of running it with 4S, and see my swimming video.
That was great to see you get it back to shore and keep going. I just ordered the Danchee and it will be here in a week or so. What tires/wheels do you recommend? Thanks
The duratrax deep woods flipped around so the treads work more like paddles, but it they are also a great all around tire for a light vehicle such as this. I would suggest that you lower it down for a better center of gravity and watch this thing go. I also have videos on tires for the danchee for more info.
Hi, I know that this truck is late. I bought mine and do enjoy. I noticed someone else had a water issue, hum. Well its just to much rain in Bothell. I want your wheels, what type of hex part for the wheels. I do have a wa-boo with one wheel, not real bad, but not what I like. Mention me correct for the wheels you have on? I am re-learning from 40 years ago and a stroke, so I am slower and now I just do RC anymore. Thanks!
The motors can be run in and under the water but you have to clean them and oil them up afterwards. The ESC is the thing you mainly have to worry about but only if you submerge the ESC, if you are just running through a creek and splashing it will be fine. Even after i submerged my ESC it still ran until I tried to put 6S to it LOL.
