The way I remember the difference between Olive and Joy is the number of syllables in their name is the number of eyes covered by the brown spots. Hope this helps anyone having trouble
I love learning how people identify similar cats- I have two tabby cats and I have yet to explain their physical differences beyond one of them being the scrungly one
honestly Jacob's little pep talk pre-gaming was so nice, as someone who gets freaked out easily but loves Jacob and Julia's commentary, it felt very affirming and comforting
I loved it even when it got ...weirdly vivid. "Nothing you see here today can hurt you. It can't get you." okay. "It's not gonna come out of the screen--" okay-- "It stays in the screen. That's where it lives. Okay?" ...yeah. :) "It's not gonna crawl up out of the screen and get you--" --OKAY

For anyone else wondering, it's from about 1:43:45 to 1:51:19 in the vod on Twitch. www.twitch.tv/videos/1952186697?t=01h43m48s She gets pushed through the fence by the train, which gets her stuck so she has to reload. She comes back and gets through this bit, which leads her to a bathroom with little in it aside from the second note for the head puzzle and another note from the girl who train'd herself, saying something about how she doesn't feel anything anymore and she thinks they're going to have a child. That's also where she got the kitchen knife. She then leaves the bathrooms and that's just about where the video here picks back up.
Watching while working, looked up and saw the “10/10” for the ammo right after Julia did her Imogen Heap joke and I thought it was Khaz rating the joke 😂
I saw a different person play this and yeah there's a possible "haha I wonder if the game will let me do this" (does that) "oh god oh no why did it let me do that nooo" moment at the end
Thank you for both the captions and chapter warnings - I'm not usually scared of games but something about the whole soundscape makes me feel.. itchy. Top that with jumpscares and I'm almost ready to bounce - so I'll just "spoil" the plot by checking when the scary stuff's about to happen! (I'm also keeping the sound to a minimum, so it's nice to still be able to know what J&J are saying!)
26:53 We need more people like Julia. Who just outright says, "I'm not looking for a solution, I just want to complain about it." Because that is super helpful communication.
By the way, the dev for this not only did Spooky's House of Jumpscares, but also Lunacid, which I believe either just came out of early access, or is about to. Maybe it'd be worth revisiting?
I thought I remembered Akuma Kira from somewhere! Jacob said it in his smooth jazz radio announcer voice every time their song credits came up in Lunacid
I CANT BELIEVE I MISSED THIS STREAM LOST IN VIVO IS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE GAMES EVER IM SO EXCITED TO WATCH THIS Edit: I don't think I've ever seen this game be so glitchy. Y'all somehow summoned *all* of the glitches for this play session. /lh
It is blowing my mind that Jacob and Julia managed to get the baby in the Save Room on the second time loading into the room. I went an entire play through and didn't get that to happen until the very end of the game.
I caught some of these stream live over my sister's shoulder. I only saw the first bit where the dog goes into the sewer and then ignored it so I won't be spoiled for the Vod but then I caught the second time they played the opening and though the game was just you trying to stop a dog from drowning and Julia was bad at the game
Me: *watching the vod as background noise, temporarily turned away from the screen* Jacob: "the ultimate cuck chair" Me: *immediately whips around and backs up a few seconds to see said cuck chair*
If you are on discord you could send a message on the subtitles thread. If not, leaving a comment about it on the video still has a high chance of me seeing it -Khaztaroth
18:57 I can tell you what most likely happened here. The dev probably had the master audio set to 0 in a script or something for the Sewer Scene. So, when it loaded the Sewer Scene, the audio was set to 0. The only way for the player to update the audio value was the slider. So the moment you changed the audio, it set it to whatever level the slider was on. The fix is simple. In the Awake function for the script in the Sewer Scene, he should have called the ChangeVolume method he likely has for his slider. That way, when the scene loads, it would update the volume to whatever the slider's value is set to.
Jacob has green eyes and Julia has blue eyes, so I just went with that given that it's also part of the channel's logo. It also works out that they are different enough colors that colorblind people can distinguish them. -Khaztaroth
All the references to other horror properties in this game were blasts to the past! I haven't thought about night blights in years! I did a lets play of it when I was like 14 trying to be a youtuber and it's a shame it didn't blow up like I thought it would, cuz it was a really fun concept.
25:50 holy shit I jumped SO hard like my whole body took a screenshot Also glad to see our old friend wide mode is back in town Oh god 1:25:39 is so unsettling, I haven't found the game too scary but those heads are so freaky ngl
something looked off about the corgi the first time around but i wasn’t entirely sure why until they restarted the game and suddenly we were taller and the corgi was no longer incredibly wide and short while in the storm drain LMAO. the comparison made such a difference
Soundtrack for this stream according to my paprika spiced brain: Perfect Drug -NIN ASS ASS ASS ASS Broken- Lindsay Haun (from the Toby Keith movie "Broken Bridges")
An ending you wouldn't get through normal play... As someone who knows some of Julia's gaming tendencies from watching far too many VODs, this description would have still left me concerned if I was watching it live XD
I... don't know... I felt something was off about the video but there were no cuts on the file. I'm sincerely sorry that there's a section missing. -Khaztaroth
this game noises are so scary gj the glitches, very haunting. i hope they get their dog back. if julia is still looking for a mobile game there is pocket card jockey on iphone which might fit the bill.
