The IRS doesn't tax churches because they consider them the same as other charities. This is because churches support their communities in numerous ways. Many provide social services, such as shelters and food pantries. They often provide assistance for low-income families, including free afterschool programs. As nice as that would be, it's inevitable that someone somewhere will dislike you. It's near impossible to get everyone on your side. I personally do not think Pride month is beneficial for LGBTQ+, people are already fully aware that these people exist (atleast in all the places that have Pride month), and so the real objective is to try and persuade people that LGBTQ+ people are normal and to be LGBTQ+ is ok. Pride month is more of a sexual, flamboyant parade than a persuasive, informational campaign. Shoving things people dislike into their face does not make them go "oh actually this isn't so bad", and also confirming their opinions of things that they disagree with - such as involving kids in a parade that is sexualised. On top of that LGBTQ+ accepts a lot of woke people who are huge hypocrites and awful people, and the community allows businesses to exploit Pride for financial gain. Not saying all of LGBTQ+ nor the people within it are bad, but it is a very counter intuitive movement as a result of the most vocal part, and it does not complete its purpose.

I left the Catholic church years ago because of the hypocrisy. Then I read the Holy Bible for the first time and found more hypocrisy amongst many congregations. Then I finally understood. There was even hypocrisy amongst the people who are fed by these false shepherds. This is still happening today. Evil has caused division everywhere by lies and deceit. Confusion. But..The Word. Maybe you should try a church within the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (don't panic, "Evangelical" simply means spreading God's word) . We are quite liberal and have gone through special training to become welcoming to EVERYONE. There are many LGBTQ within our church family. My specific church (North of Seattle) has several Trans folks (and the number is growing). Today I wrote my Pride Gear, complete with Pride flags decorating my Power Wheelchair! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

@@karenbarnatny6247- I can only say from my experience and from what I’ve seen in my 69 years on this earth that being closeted is almost always a bad choice from a mental health standpoint, AS LONG as you’re self- sufficient and safe from being thrown out of housing or cut off from important financial underpinnings. I’ve advised the younger people in my life who have disclosed their “secret” to me to wait until they’re confident that disclosing it will leave them in a safe place, no matter who doesn’t agree. You’d think that would be unnecessary advice nowadays, but it can still be overwhelming for someone young and inexperienced to reveal their sexuality to people who SHOULD love and support them, only to find out those same people are not as rational and loving as they should be. I guess what I’m saying Karen, is that it’s absolutely your choice as to whether you want to come out, because it’s really no one else’s business, but should the day come when your choice in a partner causes issues with your family, I would advise that you don’t decide to hide that and live the life I did for 50 years; thinking that by hiding I could mitigate the pain my parents and siblings might feel by pretending to be someone I wasn’t. That’s no way to live. When the time is right, liberate yourself! There’s a whole other world out there waiting to embrace you for who you are. Best of luck. ❤️

This country was never really that bigoted, or at least things seem to have gotten better, until Trump came into the picture. Every time he opens his mouth there is a disdain, hateful rhetoric, and he pretends that he's for minorities now? He wants their vote and will throw them in the garbage after that. Only those who are multi-millionaires attract his attention. If I were younger I would certainly move away to a foreign country. He is making a mockery of the us through the entire world. Hopefully being up there in years I won't see some of the damage he has done so far. But I really feel sorry for those who will be here long after me and have to live with the aftermath of trump.
