What could go wrong?....not much as they aren't really making any serious attempt to climb that hill. About the most underwhelming video I've ever clicked on.
@@howardosborne8647 it seems that in Europe everyone owns a tractor, so they use them for motocross,or hill climbs, or mud racing, etc. Love the one you're with.
@@maimino1984 yep have gone to one funeral because of it , I grew up driving the old 1940’s Case tractors that had a lever throttle as well as a ( foot feed) gas pedal and I always drove with the foot feed . Front end starts to raise foot comes up , front wheels come down in 3/4 of a second.

I assume the organisers are waiting for a stupid tractor driver to attempt this, tip over and get crushed to death traumatising the crowd before they do the right thing and insist on a bit of safety and declare that no entry without a full roll cage?
These operators know their machines. they are pushing them close to the point of throwing the crankshafts. It is more nerve wracking than it may seem when you have spent years finding antique parts and restoring something so old.
Is it the incline angle that stops them? It seems like none of them can get past the same spot. My dad told me going up a steep incline with a tractor is a good way to tip over backwards. Better to go up in reverse.

If the person who posted this video wants to title it "Tractor Hill Climb", then so be it since wellllllllll, the tractors actually did climb the hill approx. 15 feet..... but to actually call it "Tractor EXTREME Hill Climb 2014" is SO HYPED UP!!! This is SO LAME! We understand that the drivers have a GENUINE concern of tipping backwards risking injury or even death and so just do like at least one guy did which was to spend a little more time building a roll cage. Oh and how about not trying to climb such a steep hill so that spectators can actually see a tractor climb a hill and not just idle up 15 feet of the base of the hill to then just coast back down it? Is there a shortage of hills over there that aren't so steep?
So just some mechanical insight... if you climb a hill and don't make it to the top, and speed backwards without managing to get the transmission in neutral like the first guy.... your clutch friction disc will over rev to rpms they're never meant to see and often blows the friction pads off 😬 yee fuckin haw what a spendy ride that can be
