We hired a professional Arborist to safely bring a few dangerous trees down to the ground. These trees were large and heavy and hanging directly over some buildings. Once they were on the ground, I bucked them into firewood.

I looked at them for quite a while before placing the call. I like to be self-sufficient in everything I do but these heavy, leaning trees were out of my depth. They made it look easy---DARN! LOL Thanks Luc

Good amount of wood out of those. Also, good call on calling reinforcement to take them down My parents just did that on one of their rental houses..

Yes, I think you're right. These are yellow birch. I've been picking away slowly, cutting up the brush and logs. Definitely some good firewood for the woodshed! I like using the saw and working outside. It is satisfying work and the weather was perfect --cool and sunny. Take care Marc...you're going to get a piece of yellow birch for Christmas this year HaHa

Let me see...1 2 3 4 5.......1 2 3 4 5...Yes, all my fingers are still here. Those guys know what they're doing: they won't start a saw unless all the knuckleheads and dipsticks are at least 100 feet away. I like how they were keeping me safe!!

This was a little beyond my ability. I wouldn't have thought to place a pulley in the other tree and guide the trees down like they did. I did look at many angles to attempt to bring them down myself beforehand, but was glad to have hired the pros. I could have ended up on a RU-vid Blooper reel of failed tree falling instead (and have a shed to rebuild too ! HaHaHa). These guys did a fantastic job and made it look easy--but it's not!

I used to fell trees a while back and I took some that I definitely shouldn't have touched. I was lucky enough that noone got hurt and nothing got damaged. Over time I sort of lost my nerve for it and I can only imagine that's a good thing.

Certainly something to approach with caution. I have a couple of trees that I've been watching and am not ready to tackle. Some are rotten in the middle and can be unpredictable. I'm hoping they'll fall in a wind storm and not have to get me involved. These one overhanging the buildings were a job for experienced tree pruners, not an amature.

How's she goin'? Those trees could have made it a bad day if they came down on your shed or house eh!! Those arborists were on the ball getting the sling ready off a good standing tree and then being able to lower the target trees as they could handle them. No wonder they charge so much eh!! LOL Take care!!

Almost $2K to bring a total of 5 trees to the ground. But think how much it would cost to repair a roof with one of these trees sitting on your living room sofa! They did a great job, very calm guys, easy paced and safe. Just what you'd expect from pros.
