Okay that’s a really dumb way to claim to rank the most dangerous. Percent of crashes? Not amount? Not per capita? If a town has 10 crashes a year but 5 happen during rush hour, are they suddenly the most dangerous? That said, so many people do not know how to drive here. And I’d reckon to say the city planners don’t know how to either.
People stay in the high speed/passing lane and refuse to move the right to allow faster vehicles the right of way. Then you have people in the slow speed lane doing 80+ and other people weaving in and out of traffic. Plus people doen here dont know what a turn signal is. I don't care how many lanes they create, it wont get better because people refuse to follow the basic rules of the road.
I'd like to see a more comprehensive breakdown of the math. Still it's a most likely a mixture of variables. poor driving, yes, obviously but having it where you enter the highway as someone else is getting off along parts of 40 and 440 is fucking silly. The 293a exit for Cary where people have to literally swap lanes is a mess. Plus, there are more people living in Wake County with a lack of efficient public transportation, which results in more cars on the road getting into more accidents.
