@@WillGalluccio to this point i can't even get an acceptable tone out of my stacked distortion and fuzz (it's ds2 and zvex fuzz factory) what kind of fuzz did you use? Is it an octave fuzz or something? Btw, thanks man, you inspired me.

@@ranggamaulana Triungulo Lab JF Fuzz. I've tried the same thing with the Factory in the past, but I didn't like it as well.

Kurt P no definitely not that. Pedals sound different under certain circumstances. I have a pedalboard and it always sounds different with different guitars and amps. I have a ds-1 distortion for example, i had a marshall amp and with the ds-1 it sounded like Misfits. I own a hot rod deluxe it sounds like solo tones from Sublime. I also own an orange and with the ds-1 it sounds like Green Day. It just depends on the other gear and the hands it’s in

I heard and saw from forums that the ds-2 was made for tube amplifiers... But you can use it for any amp

As I say in the Jubilee settings video, it doesn't depend only on that but in other stuff like: pedalboard chain, guitar, pickups, cabs, cones, room, poor or good guitar cable between guitar and the first buffered pedal in the chain... All this stuff combined can shift your sound a lot. Plus there is handpicking dynamics

It sounds like fuzz because the level, tone, and dist are maxed out in the DS-2 and the CE-1 preamp compresses it to right level

@@matguerra333 Ds-2 needs some natural compression after it. Set the amp little bit more overdrivish (but still sounding clean) or use a overdrive pedal after it very clean
