Everyone hates on greatness. Steven is a martial arts master. These people are all jealous of Stevens accomplishments and his fighting ability. MMA fighters that truly know fighters can see the level I am on and are all very very appreciative to gain the knowledge that has taken a lifetime to master. Steven has trained them at no charge to help them move forward as martial artists. Hes a great man.

Can't believe people are actually taking this seriously, it actually makes me like DC a lot more, the only interviews I've seen of him is when he is pissed off talking to JBJ -- this shows he has a good sense of humour. Steven Seagul is a joke to MMA, trying to say he invented the front kick, watch his bullshit interviews 'yeah, i learned that kick years ago and tweaked it' -- fuck off, it's the first kick anyone learns in pretty much every martial art, so he taught Lyoto the scissor front kick? Funny, i saw that in the karate kid and he taught Silva a front kick which looks suspiciously like the front kick every Muay Thai fighter uses? Seagul is a joke who bottled it from Jean Claude Van Damme and shit himself after being choked out by Gene Lebell. There is a reason that Aikido doesn't get used in MMA -- it is fucking useless against pretty much anyone who is trained in fighting -- and yes I can comment because I did Aikido for a few years when I was practising MMA, i tried to stick with it, but you don't even learn kicks and punches in it, it's pretty much throwing and locking when someone grabs your clothes(was the only art i've practised that i thought had nothing to offer). Stick with what works --- JuJitsu/ Judo Newaza/ Wrestling mixed with a striking art like Boxing/ Thai Boxing or Kick Boxing, it's all you need -- fucking Aikido --- only useful against angry unskilled attackers who constantly charge you.

Cormier is humoring the "Master sensei" and is trying to be respectful by accepting help and having his mother meet a movie star. It doesn't matter what anyone believes, but I do believe Seagal is legit on some levels, he just exaggerates and has a movie star self image that might not be as realistic as he believes.

It seems that Cormier is an open minded martial artist and is willing to explore and find new things. Helwani is basically an MMA bandwagon guy who saw an opportunity to become relevant through the blood and sweat of actual martial artists and fighters and has made a decision to hate Segal simply because he thinks it is what is expected and what will get him points. He is probably really upset that Cormier is being open minded about Segal and is not insulting Segal as what he assumes is expected of MMA fighters. Even Rickson Gracie admits Steven Segal is a legitimate master of Aikido and knows some stuff. I do not typically like Segal's personality or many of his recent movies, but I still respect his chosen martial art's accomplishments he has made. Segal being an Aikido master knows plenty well how the human body moves and how the joints work together and how they would function and be shaped in various positions. A true fighter and martial artist will look for avenues to become better and not be close minded.
