Just saw defiance and OMGGGGGG i have to see it again. I laughed i cried. These were our sisters and brothers . The acting was amazing the story was of triumph and heroism that will NEVER be forgotten. RIP to all those innocent lives that perished. 😞
"School boy...I'm dressed like a school boy..*Smile at the screen*" Funny, I was just telling a friend how well Daniel Craig dresses hahahahaha Oooh man.
This tops every movie craig is done....Dunno if its the Russian accent..coz it makes you feel so warm...When a russian calls you comrade it makes you feel soo good
Bielski Brothers were Polish Jews so if he imitated an accent it was Polish accent not Russian, besides they were no Heroes they were traitors of Polish Nation, after Soviets invaded Poland they collaborated with Soviet against polish population, and after Germans invaded Soviet Union, they were involved in crimes against polish Freedom Fighters and Polish civilian population. This movie is a pure Jewish propaganda that has nothing to do with reality.
I hope to... hope to... hope to think individually... ^^ he's really hard to understand for a german girl like me.... but he's so lovely at the beginning when he laughs...
I liked Flashbacks, i kept an open mind and there were some parts of it I really loved and then there were a few parts that i would have edited a little different, not that i'm a qualified professional. The only part that i hated was the two call girls talking about the nose job, i would have cut it down a lot and gave the 4-6 minutes to more character development between adult Joe and Ophelia.
There is no actual proof of any participation by Bielski's group in the Naliboki massacre. There are reports of eyewitnesses, but they could not have possibly known who was from which partisan group or which groups attacked. The massacre occured on May 8, 1943, but Bielski's group did not enter the Naboliki forest at all until more than a month later, after a German attack on them on June 9, 1943. At the time of the massacre they were fifty miles away from Naboliki.
I'm not sure if it has so much to do with him being Jewish rather than the need for a Hollywood movie to have a hero. While watching the movie, I didn't see him as a straight up hero - I thought they did a decent job of portraying him to be someone who wasn't exactly on the up and up. If they'd delved any deeper into it, the movie would've topped three hours. If they hadn't delved into it, he would've just been an arse doing something that wouldn't make any sense for him to do.
It is debated whether or not the BPs performed the Naliboki massacre. If you actually know history , you would know that several people argue that the massacre occured months before the jewish movement in the region. The Polish government is investigating the massacre, and while thy do not specify who they believe is responsible, many officials deny that the BPs were involved. Oh-and genius, it was 128 innocent Poles. Not 300. The Jewish blood libel lives on in ppl like you. Hope your proud.
Mate, this matte has been disputed and investegated over the course of sooo many years. The majority of historians agree that the Bielki brothers were NOT involved in the massacre. Kthxbai
Without Jewish help in administrative and police work--the final roundup of Jews in Berlin was, as I have mentioned, done entirely by Jewish police--there would have been either complete chaos or an impossibly severe drain on German manpower. (p. 117). She adds that, because of this collaboration, only a few thousand Germans, most of whom furthermore only did office work, were able to send hundreds of thousands of Jews to their deaths
@SANARIA7 And one last thing, you have your facts screwed up. It wasn't the Jews that had gone and killed the 128 soldiers. It has found that they were of the Soviet partisans and not the Polish resistance. The Soviet resistance was the main cause and they stole from the farmers for themselves and sent the rest to the main Soviet Army.
@Laumi007 Yeah it's kinda hard to understand him =) bin at least he doesn't have a "real" British accent ... if you understand american, you'll understand him too
I don't understand why you're all arguing so damn much over a MOVIE. Why can't you guys get over it? Or if you really feel the need to discuss your individual issues go to your youtube e-mails! They are there for a reason. God, calm yourselves and watch the movie. And if you don't want to, then don't.
@SANARIA7 No, I don't know better. But just because I am an American doesn't mean that I don't know. In all actuality I am Polish with American citizenship. Sorry you don't have your facts straight. And you're right! Your slander is terrible racism and scauvinism
SANARIA, have you ever heard of the ZZW? It was a resistance group made up of Jewish Poles who were in the Polish army before the war. Throughout the entire conflict, they fought the occupying Germans and were closely tied with the AK. After the war, the ZZW was persecuted along with the other Poles by the Soviet Union because they were loyal to their country and refused to accept communist control.
to sanaria7, you are just pissed that you didn't die along side the Jews during that time. It doesn't matter what or who was called. the movie is about Polish Jews survuing in the wilderness. thats all you need to know
@SANARIA7 Haha!! That is where you are wrong! We focus mainly on the Jews because they were nearly eradicated. Hence the term "genocide." The suffering Poles and gypsies are well noted in our forged text books. So if you are so against our "forged" text books, why don't you actually look at those who deny that anything happened? Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and other Asian nations deny the Holocaust ever happened.
(According to Freudiger's calculations about half of them could have saved themselves if they had not followed the instructions of the Jewish councils..."
"Coming my way" - didn't get that jester... Where is the punchline in saying truth about Bielski thugs, who never fought 1 (ONE!) single German but were more than happy to murder unarmed pesants? And this joke about getting life? Not too funny considering number of your comments in comparison to mine.
@SANARIA7 I called Germany the Nazis because they controlled the minds of the people. And i no it wasnt just the jews being hunted. But the Nazis hated the Jews the most. Thats all im sayin.
Yeah, a "free nation" just as long as you were Polish and catholic. Well, consider it payback for the 50,000 Red Army soldiers staved and tortured in Pilsudski's camps, the attack on Soviet Ukraine. Big crocodile tears for Poland's elitist scum in Katyn and the AK, and not one for the 40,000-80,000 Polish civilians butchered by the UPA. I'm still trying to figure that out.
This is not a true story, but it is a crappy movie. When you watch this you will notice that everything looks fake, the acting, that action, the jews attitudes toward captured germans etc.. This movie was made for jews in every possible way and in no way has anything to do with the real Tuvia Bielski. Watered down best describes it.
"Jewish people.... NEVER killed anybody" Skip the Talmud Moishe - stick to comedy... I am eager to listen to your stand - up about how Baruch Goldstein was praying for Arabs in the Cave of Patriarchs :)) "They helped Poland" heheheh - you're a natural talent, but PLEASE - help us NO MORE!!! Just leave and let us live in peace...
Bielski Brothers were nothing but common traitors and murderers. Historian Kazimierz Krajewski lists other incidents in which Bielski partisans were involved, in addition to the surprise attack against a Home Army unit in December 1943 after it had signed an agreement of cooperation with Soviet partisans, in which over a dozen Home Army soldiers were murdered, and in following days 50 more were killed. In May 1944 the village of Kamień, in Stolpce, was attacked by a force involving Bielski partisans; 20 Home Army soldiers and 20 civilians were killed. In May 1944 a unit of the Ordzhonikidze sub-group of the Bielski partisans, together with Soviets, murdered 47 Poles in the Lidaregion, in Filonowiec and Dokudowa, mainly civilian families accused of supporting the Polish Home Army.[2]
