I feel like I am hearing remnants of an English accent! Maybe I am. Or it is just so weird that he is speaking in his normal accent that I think I am. 😂
He's British also. He is part American, and part British. Both mixed, but his accent makes him sound more British then American so some people can get confused by that.
It´s amazing how he remains exactly the same! Yes, his hair is white, but I look at his face and listen to his voice and feel that he hasn't aged a day! Fran and him are wonderful people, God bless them
Remember him sliding on the floor in his shades n boxers in that dance? He did it perfect too. I never wanted to see that show end. God bless you both and Fran thank Hod your healed sweetie. Love all the actors of that show.
Remember he almost starred a Maxwell's play on The Nanny. Correct me if I am wrong, but he sang: once, while Fran, her sister Nadine and her brother in law were arguing, and another time he did a beautiful number about winning 5 bucks by hour (or sth like that). He's amazing, I'd LOVE to see him acting with Anthony Hopkins in a big movie
dsfddsgh He's British also. He is part American, and part British. Both mixed, but his accent makes him sound more British then American so some people can get confused by that
Pat Rick You are a moron. It would of took you two seconds to look up he was born and raised in Arkansas. Google is powerful, learn to use it. Also if you must make a ass out of yourself learn how to type. Your sentence is like me saying I'm part American raised in America but I'm part Irish so for some reason I have a mixed accent. Fucking hieroglyphic like writing only rereading a couple times can be understood.
Wow. Your life is so boring that you take time in commenting on a subject that was from a year ago? And if I didn't know how to use Google, then how would I have made this account? Also, my friend is from America, but he's British, so that could be possible. Please be nice before commenting. The media is already filled with mean hypocrites (like you) so we do not need another one. Get lost, kid. :)Lia Lee
Fran, you’re the best! From Flushing to Hollywood you did it and did it so well. Everything you do if fantastic and you are always a winner. God bless you for overcoming everything you did. I love you so much❤️💙🌹🌹🌹🌹
We all love and adore Daniel Davis so much. I had such a huge he crush on him when Daniel played Niles. I fell in love with Daniel Davis the first time I saw What The Butler Sang. And have loved Daniel Davis ever sence.
It seems most Americans can't do a good British accent. However, I have found those from places like Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Oklahoma, etc have a special lift to their voices which makes an accent more plausible. Another example of this is the actor Lee Pace who plays king Thranduil in the Hobbit. He's from Oklahoma but speaks British in the film.
It’s interesting that you say you can hear “every letter” in his American accent because everyone outside the United States feel you Americans don’t pronounce all the letters. And I don’t mean this as an insult 😊 I’m Latin American and I feel that British people really pronounce the letters, particularly English people. When they say “better” you can really hear the “T” in there. You guys pronounce it as “R”...beRer And I could go on Happy holidays
@@marias7599 I appreciate that you believe you hear 'better' as 'beRer,' but I'm confident no native English speaker does (whether AmE or BrE). When the "t" sound in the middle of words is changed in AmE, most everyone would report hearing "bedder" - like a mushy almost 'd'. You might find this article interesting --> learnersdictionary.com/qa/do-americans-pronounce-t-like-d I'm a big nerd and have always loved this stuff. Cheers! P.S. BrE often adds sounds to words, especially an "r at the end of words sike 'samba' can become 'samber' and 'idea' becomes 'idear.' Certain AmE accents/dialects do this as well, and I admit it drives me nuts. 🤣 You might really enjoy this forum and similar forum.wordreference.com/threads/pronunciation-r-added-to-words-ending-in-a-in-bre-idea-r.3310584/
Wow. Fran looks as beautiful as the day the Nanny first aired. She is such a sweetheart. Can't get enough of her. Never in a million years did I realize that Daniel was American. In any case, this little reunion makes me wanna re-watch The Nanny all over again, which I have on DVD. I do wonder what has happened to those who played Maxwell's kids though.
Funny that he speaks better British then Charles who actually came from London lol Btw i love Daniel how he played Niles he was always my favo together with C.C
There's no such thing as speaking "Better" British than someone who's actually British. There's No 1 way British people sound. It's the same with Americans who all speak differently depending on where they're from. A New Yorker sounds different from a Floridian.
I felt the same way when I found out King Thranduil of 'The Hobbit' was American, and not British. The actor Lee Pace was absolutely perfect for the part.
@Jerseygirlgm, you can actually notice it in an episode of season 6 of "The Nanny." It's in a scene where he mentions CC being in shorts in the desert. The irony is, many thought it was Charles who was putting on the accent and the aristocrat. The aristocratic title Charles does actually hold, I believe a marque, I'm not sure which county.
I've only seen his work as Prof. Moriarty on Star Trek The Next Generation but he is amazing. Even if you're not a fan of the show, it's worth checking out for his portrayal. Episodes: First appearance in "Elementary, Dear Data" and then later in "Ship in a Bottle."
I watch The Nanny every night from midnight to 2am on Cozi tv. In fact the last episode of the night just got over now. My favorite show of all time! Even though I've seen every episode, they are still so funny and make me laugh so loud, my son sometimes wakes up! Lol
I saw him in "The Hunt for Red October" first. When he showed up on "Star Trek TNG" and "The Nanny" playing British, I wasn't sure if he was English who had a flawless American accent or an American who had a flawless English accent. Either way, he's an absolute doll.
I love you Daniel Davis, you are an increíble actor, thank you by make me to laugh all time in The nanny...thankyou with all my heart..i love you NILES💕💕💕👏👏👏🙋
WOW! He does such a great British-English accent that I really thought he was from that region! To find out that he’s from here in America…👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻…BRAVO, good sir!
Thank you soo much for sharing and posting this! I love Daniel Davis soo much and him as being Niles the Butler! I did not want to miss it at all and i got to see this on youtube! amazing! I love you both dearly and you 2 are my favorite ch...aracters from The Nanny! muah :)
Yeah, he does a great English accent, to state the obvious. Like many people, I was very surprised to find out that he's American. He'll always be Professor Moriarty to me :-)
Like so many talk show hosts, Fran constantly talks over the guest, interrupts and doesn't let the other person talk! The point is to let the guests speak, not her.
Thank you for sharing some of the show. Up here in Alaska, we are limited in entertainment access. If its not on the net then I probably wont get to see it :^) Congrats on your new show and I hope you find it very fulfilling.
Oh wow, I remember when i was a little girl I love watching The Nanny. I'm 25 now, I still love that show but I can't believe that he's not actually British!
How I enjoyed watching Nile in a the nanny. You are amazing ,charming ,funny , unique , hugely talented actor. All the time I see you in a The nanny impossible do not smile. What are great team actors
