Fr, I like being able to have the explanations but it helps understanding (for me personally) when I can hear the full sound of what he’s playing Dani Fang is an insane drummer, I’d really love to see him get some time on set like Billy Rymer did, that lesson still blows my mind

Don't Play is one of my favourite songs of them, it just has that kind of reggeton/salsa rhythm mixed with the mostly hardcore component, such a new thing tp hear
It was strange to see Turnstile in an arena playing to a bunch of people sitting down after having an experience at the Showbox a couple years before. But the solo he ripped that night was full of so much energy and passion he absolutely blew the doors off.
Yeah, it's been wild seeing them blow up as huge as they have gotten the last few years, I consider myself lucky to have seen them live in small venues where the energy is intense, they still play incredibly even if the crowds are now lame.
I can't believe this guy was in a band with my friends. At one point, it felt like he was the only active drummer in Baltimore, he was in so many bands. He's so god damn good. I wonder if he still takes catnaps all the time.
@DrumeoOfficial - I'm loving all those punk/hardcore/post stuff you guys have been doing! Y'all need to get Chad Hasty from Glassjaw or Alex Rodriguez from Saosin!
Dude, I wanted to watch Edgar's lesson on Playing old songs with odd time signatures. Before I could poof its gone, please make that available for the broke drummers.
Not a big fan of the Hardcore genre but I love how Turnstile evolved their sound and took chances. Daniel is actually one of the reasons Turnstile got on my radar, I love his drumming style and he continues to kill it. Their last album was really good, Mystery is playlist worthy.
I like the tresillo parts in Don't Play. I'm actually trying to create a playlist with rock subgenres that use that reggaeton/dance-ish rhythms and it's quite fun.
Mmm California republic flag & a astronaut on the flight case in the back :D Drumeo, did y'all & Daniel recorded this in Tom Delonge's Dressing room during the blink World tour this summer :') Haha would be so epic :DDD
It's so crazy for me to keep having these revelations like I felt when I first heard Bad Brains (1985) and then again with REFUSED (1999) and now again with Turnstile ?! They are carrying the banner and leading the charge. So stoked to hear what they're doing and see it really excite people.
