I've heard another actor (I think it was Hugh Jackman) describe the profession of acting as being like sports. He said, "When you play with someone who challenges you, you, in turn, play better." We can see how firmly Daniel believes in that principle. So do I, to be honest. I also love the story that's come out fairly recently, about how Alan surprised Daniel at 1 of his 1st Broadway previews. It shows a real tenderness & sweetness to Alan, & how he still tries to guide Daniel like a second dad even though their time together on film is long since over.
I have seen all the movies several times; I come to the conclusion, that Snape is the greatest and most courageous character in the movies. What a guy! How many people would keep their vows as long and as painful as it was for him?
So true. Still, have you noticed just how much Radcliffe improves when he's working alongside Gary or Alan? Their both so talented, and sexy!! But Alan is simply the very BEST England's acting has to offer.
Ben Stiller has won an oscar, and Alan has never even been nominated!!! But then again, the Academy is still very reticent on acknowledging foreign talent. X(
I really like all the characters in the whole series, yes at first some more then others. But at the end, they all really became heroes. (obviously except malfoy's parents, Voldemort, the death eaters and the other people of Voldemorts army, but you know what I mean.)
If Dan is typecast, it certainly doesn't seem to bother him any. He seems deliriously happy to be doing just what he's doing. And good grief, he's just starting out! He's so young! Give him a few years and see what happens! Life experience can really round a person out, you know. And he caught on to the drinking problem early enough not to let it screw up his entire life! Now, let's just sit back and see what happens from here...
no, don't do that. His time is here and I, all though I'm sure I don't know you, wouldn't want you to miss that moment when he is widely recognized. You have so much to live for. :)
