Danielle Nicole Band (USA) performing Dolly Parton's "Jolene" at the Moulin Blues Festival 2016 in Ospel, the Netherlands. Every year the first weekend of May!
Danielle was feeling it that night! Wish I could have seen it in person. For any one who hasn't been to a show by the Danielle Nichol Band you are missing out.
She did this song in Omaha, Nebraska 17 November 16, and I'm still feeling the tingles. She is the real deal. Do yourself a favor and see her perform as many times as you can.
Unbelievable, how she can keep it together while expressing that much emotion is astounding. Never seen an artist pour their heart out like this, ever.
Danielle Nicole's cover of Jolene is a masterclass in raw emotion and vocal delivery. Composed by Dolly Parton and released in 1973, the song is based on actual events from Parton's life and inspired by a bank teller named Jolene, who flirted with her husband at the beginning of their marriage. Nicole nuances Parton's heartbreak with an emotional testament to the lyrics rife with passion, tears, and desperation, demonstrating how Parton's magnum opus should be delivered. The Jolene energy, being out there for 50 years, has finally manifested in Nicole's performance. Her version of the song is a powerful force that challenges people with similar experiences to heal. Peace! Tommy Peters
Never have I ever witnessed a performance like this. This song has always been one of my favorites but never seen performed with this passion. That IS HOW YOU DELIVER A SONG. FLAWLESS.
WOW ... she was definitely feeling and translating the emotion of that song that performance, tears and all. Outstanding performance. Two thumbs up 👍👍 Danielle Nicole, you continue to "WOW" me with every performance I watch ... 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🤩🤠
Just discovered Danielle today, and there are dozens of performances to digest. Loving her as much on the acoustic 6 as bass, and the raw emotion here is visceral enough to transcend the inadequate medium of RU-vid. I’m sure Dolly is proud
I've a crush on this woman with her voice and her ways of making songs hers....seeing her sing this is just..... I know everyone has a million different ways to express their appreciation of her way she did this song..... I think She just stole the song.
Just chillin' on RU-vid. What a discovery I just made. The vocals are so real, gritty and edgy. You real feel her pain. You know a truly great performance when you feel it more than hear it. Astonishing.
First artist in almost 30 years of going to the Moulin blues festival that made me cry over a song! Still gives me the chills when i watch this. GREAT!
WOW ... it's been a year since I first watched this video ... it made my fur rise and gave me goosebumps then ... and once again now! I read one of the comments that said " Now this is the way that song was meant to be done, with all the feelings and emotions , and I totally agree with that statement! Danielle Nicole could sing from a dadburn phone book ... and bring the house down! What a awesome voice! 👍👍🤠
Lorsque le talent s'associe à la beauté, le rêve devient réalité ! Authentique, surdouée, talentueuse, énergique, vivante ! Des milliards de vibrations positives en survol ! Quel total MIRACLE !
I knew this energy was out there somewhere and it's even stronger than I imagined. What a treat to find it manifest in Danielle Nicole! First came the jaw drop then the goosebumps and finally the uncontrollable tears of joy! Thanks Moulin Blues Ospel. I just subbed the channel with full notifications.............
I kept running upon this one and I was wondering if it was the original Jolene and I guess it is and I know anything she sings she kills it . She's so good .
Nicole, you're cruel! You made me turn off Miley Cyrus for good! This is how you sing Jolene. With emotion, tears, and desperation, and you winged it with desperation. Parton's Jolene energy was out there for 50 years; you just owned it. A glass to the band!
