The author played the long game with this one. Go back and watch episode one of Season 1. The VERY FIRST TIME Bell feels Freya's gaze, he turns around and IMMEDIATELY runs into Syr. Freya pulled a book off her shelf and the next day Syr gave him the grimoire that taught him firebolt. This entire time, Freya has been playing the part of Syr, because she fell in love with his very soul at first sight and has been trying to win his love the "fair" way, not as a goddess who can literally charm anyone she wants, but as a normal girl. Now that Bell rejected Syr, the gloves are off.
@@あーゆー-v1jthat's right! Season 1 episode 2 before monsterphilia. There was also the time in S2 before the Apollo Familia War Game where Syr gave Bell an amulet that had the Freya Familia emblem on it.
Horn has feelings for Bell too because of her linking feelings when she becomes Freya. But she also hates him because of how Freya tries to become a simple girl for Bell. Her skipped inner monologue(very important): "As if being drawn in by his eyes, I closed the distance. Our lips drew near. My trembling chest drew close to his. I dropped my handbag that had served its purpose, and slowly raised my arms. Why did the goddess have to meet you? If I had met you first…If I had known what would happen…It might have turned out so differently… The single wish burning away at my heart. The emotions welling up. I desperately tried to hold it in, murmuring to myself not to let it burst out. Aaaaah, but I can’t deny it. I’ve been enchanted by the boy before me, since long ago. As if I was linked with the goddess, a reflection of the goddess. But that was exactly why. That was why I couldn’t control this urge. I know it is a taboo that must never be embraced. In this world, gods seal away most of their divine power to live like mortals. However, mortals can still sense their presence, which is why they can differentiate between a god and a mortal just by looking at them. Very few gods can fully seal their divine power. When they do, they completely resemble mortals, and their appearance changes accordingly. This is why Bell still doesn’t realize that his grandfather is the god Zeus. When Freya fully seals her divine power, her mortal form is "Syr," the waitress. The original "Syr" was Horn, but she gave her name to Freya, Horn got a strong will to look like Freya and she get a magic that allows her to transform into a goddess (Freya, including her mortal form). The Freya who sits in the castle is actually Horn, who helps manage the Familia, while the real Freya is always with Bell and Ryu. When Horn takes Freya’s form, she shares her senses, thoughts, and emotions, allowing her to manage the Familia without the real Freya needing to be present. Spoiler---------------------------------------------------------------- Horn share the same feeling with Freya, so........;)
@@Sauxeaholic Basically, Horn doesnt simply transforms into Freya, she litterally becomes her, with emotions, and memories included. Thats why she can act perfectly like Freya, when she plays her. Its because their minds are linked. And because of that link, Horn is maybe even more aware of freyas feelings than freya herself
The original Syr is Horn. But she gave her name to Freya in exchange for becoming(transforming) to a goddess(Freya specifically). In short, the Syr we all know = Freya. The Syr in S5E1 post credits and previous scene = Horn. The Freya in S5E2 = Horn.
Freya and (original) Syr are different people, but they do share some emotional/mental connections. (Original) Syr was a pauper girl that Freya ran into and formed an agreement with. Both Syr and Freya can change forms, to Syr/Horn/Freya. Every time we've seen "Syr", except when Horn (as Syr) was petitioning Freya last episode and she was in the gazebo this episode, have actually been Freya. Most scenes of Freya have actually been Freya, especially the ones where she's been getting all hot and bothered over Bell or initiating events to help Bell grow. At least that is the assumptions I've reached from watching this far.
The one thing that’s really confusing me is I get that through out the series horn and freya have been switching and if I rewatch I’ll probably be able to tell but when syr asks freya to allow her to go on the date, and people say it’s horn as syr but why is horn asking freya to go on a date with bell but than it’s freya that actually goes on it so I’m confused about that
I understand why freya wants bell so much it's that dam ability he has that negates all charm from God's & goddesses & he is literally the only soul who freya can have a true relationship with
Bell is purest soul, yeah he Will became chick magnet every virgin and goddes of charm lol, only Aprhodite whos have charm magic didnt fall with bell now
Personally I can’t say I didn’t see it coming at all or that I hadn’t my suspicions since season 1, but I can say for sure it was much more complicated and amusing than I had ever imagined…😍 As I predicted Freya and Syr have always been the same person (more or less) at least if we speak about the Goddess Freya and the “Syr” who is in love with him… Freya knew that she couldn’t get close to Bell in her “Goddess form” so she impersonated “Syr” with the help of this assistant (Horn, that btw, like Syr, is one of the many names that Freya has got in Norse mythology) that in the meanwhile took her place… That would also mean that the “Freya” glaring down at Bell with that nasty look in ep 2 was, in fact, Horn disguised as Freya (now it totally makes sense) I respect Freya’s feelings (and I also hugely respect Bell for being honest) but I still can’t completely sympathize with her: especially considering what we saw in the last few seconds… I get that she’s a goddess and won’t take a “no” for answer, also I understand that is EXTREMELY painful to be rejected by the person you love, but still that’s not the way to do it… Freya is the definition of a “SORE LOSER”😂😂😂 P.S. I was right when I said that, when she was confronting Ryu about her feelings, she was being manipulative and taking advantage of Ryu’s loyalty and “meek” personality (at least when it comes to romantic matters)… So if she really wanted Bell all for herself, and didn’t apparently have any regard for her feelings, WHY should Ryu show any “mercy” to Syr/Freya? COME ON RYUUU, GO FOR IT!!!😍❤️ Now I’m genuinely terrified of what’s going to happen to Bell…😰 He will have to stop Freya and her plans, can he do it? Will Ryu and/or AI’s help him (even if I feel that with that wound maybe Ryu could be out of commission for a while…😢💔) Also poor Ryu… she was really facing depression there… She probably wasn’t this broken inside since she lost her family… She really looked like she was hearing the “call of the void…”😢😢😢💔💔💔
Horn was orginally Syr, when she got Falna she got the ability to kind of swap places with Freya. She could pretend to be the godess while Freya got to walk around and pretend to be a mortal girl. But, it connects their minds. So Horn feels what Freya feels and vice versa.
Yep.. you could tell from season 1...then it was even more certain by season 2... still had my doubts but it just made a lot of sense for it to be the case...
The real Syr is Horn. But she made a deal with Freya when she a child, so now she can transform in Freya. And Freya take the name of Syr and create another identity to be close to Bell. The Syr we meet in the 1first episode is freya. And she spend the all date with Bell until she leave the motel
The easiest way to explain it is by using Naruto terminology: Maid Syr doesn't exist, except as a Transformation Jutsu. There is only Goddess Freya, who Bell went on a date with, and Adventurer Horn, who delivered the letter earlier and tried to kill Bell. Naturally, only Freya's Familia and other Gods/Goddesses can tell the difference most of the time. The other Maids from Fertility Inn cannot, and got cut up for the imposter.
@@LoneWolf20213 Well, I don't think I spoiled anything major considering what is to come anyway. If my answer is a spoiler then don't look what others say elsewhere. I didn't even pinpoint or anything, considering the vast cast, I think what I said was a ok. Plus I lied about the number, since well it's not 2 (but the actual number doesn't change much anyway)
@@ghoulknight1526 alright fair but they are still victims since they were kicked out of their home and everyone they know is basically held hostage so they are still victims in that sense
This is why Syr was my favourite girl that I ship with Bell since season 1. Because of her mysterious background. I mean, just how many of u guys released that she was Freya? I had my suspicion since season 1
5:20 My wife and I don't have the bed crowding problem. We've had a California King bed since we married in 1990. If anything, it would be nice to have MORE incidental contact while sleeping.
Herun will be responsible for Freya instead. Freya is tired of going to be Sil. Herun began to be angry with Belle. Because after Belma Freya, if it wasn’t a goddess event, she wouldn‘t transform into a goddess at all. Herun was afraid that Freya would become a village girl like when she had nothing.
So basically freya created syr so that bell would fall in love with her by his own choice with her being normal girl but now that his rejected her she’s done syr is dead she’s gonna force him to love her as freya light novel explains better than anime
@@GamingXXGaming No I understand that bt previously Syr ask for permission to go on a date with Belle....if Horn was Syr then why did Freya go on a date with Belle....bt if Freya was actually disguised as Syr why did she need permission to go from Syr wen she's just a moral there to play her double? And then there was Hestia's reaction wen she saw Horn disguised as Syr.....that is wat confused me
@psychopath6993 I think they might explain it in more detail lter but in case they dont; the Syr that Bell and Ryu are familiar with, the one that went on a date with him initially was Freya all along. The Syr that asked for permission was Horn who asked to spend time with Bell so she could use the opportunity to try to kill him. I can't remember the details exactly, but I think the reason why Hestia was confused was because the transformation was so good. It felt like she was looking at a goddess even though underneath the surface it was a mortal . So she felt something was off
Freya and horn share their form and memory together. Syr that we saw all time from ss1 is Freya except the one at gazebo. Freya leave boring work to hone to enjoy syr life. Freya become more and more crazy over bell is effect horn cuz they share their memory in very deep level. Hone start to confuse that she also love bell and try to kill him to stop this.
@@psychopath6993 so every time we saw syr it’s always freya the only time horn was syr was when horn asked permission to go on date with bell in order to kill him hestia when she saw syr was just confused if she was actually a goddess and freya disguised herself as syr again to try to win bell over as a normal girl instead of forcing him after she found out what horns plan was hope I explained ok
Since Season 1 , I really have a bad feeling with that “hot chick”, she’s full of dark red flags 🚩 🚩 🚩 🚩 🚩 Season 2: Imagine Freya destroyed Ishtar Familia because of what they did to Bell and killed Ishtar with a single B#%ch slap😂 She’s dangerous, Obsessed Super Yandere, I never like her and my gut feeling is correct….she is also Syr, not even fan of reading light novels etc.😂😂😂
Listen, I know the lore of Syr and Freya being the same person in mythology. Yet, I still didn't expect them to actually make them the same person in this series lol. I knew there was a close relation between the two, but figured they'd take another angle with it. Also, fuck Rabbit boy for passing on Syr. She was the best girl (even if she was really someone else who is actually a bitch. I'd still take Freya tho...) Edit: "Who the fuck is this?" is really funny when you realize it is still Syr lol. But, like, the REAL Syr.
