I said out to everyone, “you guys are nuts if you think this game is over with Brady at QB.” Anyone else, probably is. I’m not even a Patriots fan but always admired Brady’s work ethic more than anything and I knew he wasn’t about to lose that game. People were giving me 2 to 1 odds and I made a thousand bucks in those last 30 minutes. Then years later, he came to my Bucs! Was surreal seeing him in a Bucs uniform. I was thinking to myself "we have Tom fking Brady as our QB why TF are these clowns leaving?". Hightower deserves kudos for flipping the momentum. As a New England Fan who had moved to Florida, my Daughter Lisa and I would go to Allstar Bar and Grille to watch games. The majority there were either Atlanta fans or just anti- New England fans, lol. At the beginning of the 3rd quarter, Lisa wasn't feeling well asked if I minded going home, so I agreed. On the way out I stopped at the one group table that were Patriot fans and I said, watch this, the Patriots are going to make a great comeback in the 2nd half. The Atlanta fans at the bar laughed historically at the thought. Needless to say, I was tempted to go back and rub it in to them, but I decided, they had been humiliated enough. Then when TB12 came to Tampa Bay, I switched my primary Allegiance to the Buccaneers. Lisa called me a traitor, but I said I was truly a Brady fan through and through. To me he was already the GOAT and he didn't disappoint me with the talent he walked into and his historic recruiting of Gronk, Antonio Brown and Leonard Fournette!! SUPERBOWL LV was just icing on the cake.

I’ll never forget this game. I bet my boss a significant amount of money on the game and by the 3rd quarter I was talking the most amount of crap imaginable. Said bring my money in $1s for the strip club. Learned my lesson to never bet against Brady or Bill

It's so Bill Belichick to for some reason have two 2 point plays when normally you have one for a game. Over prepared for the superbowl

It was in my new apartment full of like 15 of my friends some more inner circle than most but I remember being surrounded by like 12 guys that were all against the pats. When we came back and won no one said goodbye they all just left and ripped down my patriots posters and said f*ck you. That’s how I knew it was a special moment for my patriots I wasn’t even mad. Me and my two other patriots friends got lit and celebrated the whole night.

Always rooted for Brady and the Pats as a Bengals fan. I always called them my post season team😂.. If I was a New England fan I’d rewatch those runs over and over. Good times don’t last forever that’s for sure.

As a Texans fan, my dad took me to this Super Bowl, and at halftime I was just hoping my dad didn’t spend all this money to blowout in the only SB we will most likely will be out 1st, and only SB. Then watching Brady getting the boys fired up moments before the 2nd half started, I felt something I’ve never felt at a sporting event, and called my bookie, and put the max bet my Houston bookie would take on the Patriots ML to win outright. To this day that was the largest amount of money I’ve ever won. Thats the night this Texans fans had nothing but love for Brady and the Patriots. 1 day when I’m old, I’ll be able to tell people I was at that Super Bowl, I still have some confetti, and my tickets, I’d like to send make into a memorabilia piece. Then a few weeks later I went to the Daytona 500, and I didn’t know would be Dale Jr’s last ever Daytona 500. That was the coolest few weeks I got to spend with my dad, and memories that we will always have as long as we are alive.

I love how both know exactly what the other had said at certain points of the game - Danny impersonating Edelnut ("yeah man, I caught it!" and shaking his head) and vice-versa. It just shows what a close-knit group they were...I love it (and I am a Panthers fan, really lol)

Partying at my brothers house for the game, I looked at him at half time and said "Good thing there's another half." Then it's 28-3. That final quarter and a half was magic. Greatest SB ever

Live in CT was in my boys basement packed full of my Giants and Jets buddies all clowning on me and my now wife talking soooo much shit. I looked at her at half time and we were like were riding this out. When White scored the game sealer I jumped on his couch and knocked part of his ceiling out. Luckily it was just a sheet square and went right back in. Took my shirt off was running around the room giving it right back. SO hungover at a work training the next day but couldnt have been happier. This one and the Seahawks w after the ten year drought were easily the sweetest for me. Edelman such a beast in both of those. Dola was clutch in the Atlanta one as well.

I’d take this duo of WR’s over any other team duo. I’ll take speed over height, consistency over unpredictability, results over flash any day.

They had ok speed, but receivers gotta be selling if they aren’t explosive. How do you know if you sold the move? When they BOUGHT it! Good sales beats speed every time.

them running two 2-point plays is similar to them practicing the butler interception play where they told brown to jam them. Bellicheck knew Atlanta was going rain hell early and that the pats would win through resilience, preparation and experience. Just like the Butler interception, the play didn't work in practice but the coaches saw what went wrong and how to correct it (ex. telling brown to jam them up so Butler could slide). Ernie Adam's is a football genius.
@Chippa33
@Chippa33 Год назад
Browner*.. that jam is criminally underrated man, if he isn’t able to complete stop Kearse from getting off the line then that INT never happens n the Seahawks score n easy TD on that play.. that was such a clutch jam on Browners part n he doesn’t get enough credit for allowing Malcom to make that play
@corpr8dystopia778

@@Chippa33 facts. I saw an interview with Brllechick and he thought Browner's jam was underrated too and was the backbone of the play.

I remember that I was just going to go to bed, because the Falcons had the bag and I was bored, lol. I mean, that Pats score was not moving from 3, which is really 0 on the number line. But then, something changed after the halftime show, and that score changed from 28-20. From there, we had a game. A fantastic, mind-blowing game. I swore I wouldn't bust on Brady anymore if he and the boys brought that championship back to New England, and they did it. They fucking did it. One of the greatest football games, ever. James White, no doubt!!
@akabancopop
@akabancopop 4 месяца назад
The emphasis on 2 point conversions comes from the fact that the Falcons were one of the 7-8 best regular season offenses of all time and took no prisoners in the playoffs. There was absolutely a real possibility regardless of how the game played out that they would need to pull out from multiple scores down to win. It's simply preparedness for the specific opponent they played.
