Truly, if any younger person think today’s actors and entertainers have great talent go find Danny’s movies and stage acts to really truly see what great talent looks like!
I can't help in Hans christten Anderson stories but it wouldn't be great without papa Danny had did the work. He's the inspected general and court jester and Hans christten all in one person just yomske people cry laugh and cringed as so much. Mr Kaye will never forgotten.
I ask consent for his daughter to create the Danny Kaye inspirational foundation for children. It will sounded neet. Although he's been passed for thirty four years.
@@rachelborowyckyj626 that's nostalgia talking. But true for the heart. There are VERY talented actors today. But I did & still do enjoy Danny Kaye. He was and remains unique. Like said: A One Off!!!
Thank you Videocurios. Been looking for this for years. Wish I found it when my beautiful Mum was still alive. She’s the lady who he asked to stand up for a minute.
What a sensational, delightful, humorous, thoughtful, multi-talented, natural, entertaining, charitable, kind human being. A down to earth star! And Russel Harty was a good interviewer, who made it a relaxing experience for his guests.
This may be the only adult-type interview with Danny available online -- and it's a good one. Very enjoyable to see and hear him as a "real person" rather than as a character. Enjoyed the bit about the Brooklyn accent.
Always a special place in my heart for this wonderful guy. Danny Kaye was just a giant of decency and kindness. It radiated from him and after all these years, it was a privilege to catch this chat with Mr Russell Harty whom we lost much too soon also. Real treasure trove! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💐
Thank you so much for making this video available for everyone to see this former giant of an entertainer, the likes of who we will probably not see ever again. What a lovely person with a great heart for mankind Danny Kaye was.
Does anyone know the name of the song the band played as Russell Harty came on on stage? I know it's got something to do with Danny Kaye and I remember hearing it as a child but I CANNOT figure out what it is. Please help a girl out!
"Wonderful wonderful Copenhagen, salty old queen of the sea... Once I sailed away, now I'm home today.... etc" I haven't heard it since the early 70s at the latest and Danny is still singing it in my head
BAHAHAHAH!!! THAT song is on the SESAME STREEET!!!! about..." There's a Hole in the Bucket.. Dear Liza Dear Liza.... There's a Hole in the Bucket Dear Liza a Hole!">> hahahahhaahhaha
Russell Harty was brilliant he didn't try to be liked by those he interviewed unlike so many of todays interviewers, but with Danny he knew he was in the company of a genuinely great man.
