So true! Rarely any good salsas on stricly I'm afraid. That's why they always choose a pop song and add a little popping here and there to mask the actual dance! But this one was just as fun and good as the ones experienced in salsa clubs!

I do wish they would save the pop songs for Cha-Cha-Chas and use more traditional salsa music for salsa

Kelvin isn't far behind from Danny as he has also been consistent every week but I think that might be due to Oti being an amazing choreographer.

rhonda4333 You tend to see a lot of female celebrities excelling in the show such as Alexandra Burke or Caroline Flack. But Danny Mac is undoubtedly one of the greatest, certainly the best male dancer in Strictly history.

I think some part of Joanne winning was because of Kevin as he is also one of the pros and having his sister on the show just seemed a bit weird. The thing is 2015 was his first year so that would mean this is his second year and.. I dunno the votings a bit rigged.

Suspicious Windmills actually there was plenty of hip rotation. What you meant is specific 'figure eight' a very specific hip rotation. However, the person you support religiously... Ore...Ore's lacked the figure eight movement massively, even more so than Danny's routine.

Scarlett Rosa I was just quoting what the judges said, and they said something about hip rotation. And I agree, Ore had less figure-8 action than Danny but neither of them were perfect.

Lol! That seems to be the case. Fortunately, the only new dance they'll be doing in the finals is the Showdance, and I know Oti is gonna rock the choreography in that one. I've been looking forward to that since week 1.

Tracey-Ann Wisdom I agree , great dance but not as good as that Samba. I think Oti wanted to concentrate on the intricate steps and feel of the salsa and leave that "Samba" , for what is it. In my opinion one of the most memorable dances in strictly history. Which, we will no doubt see in the final again.

Sandra Poku I think it'll take Oti & another sensational partner to top that Samba in another season. Just know they're gonna give her a clunker next series. It might be a while before she gets another partner of Danny's calibre. I'm hoping they reprise the Samba for the finale.

Anthony wasn't bad. He was hampered by the fact that one of his arms was injured - I think he'd just done surgery. He had great potential.

She couldn't have improved THAT much in one year. Lol! Her work was always good. It just shows better on Danny cuz he's got such amazing natural facility, and knowing that, she's able to take more chances.

Hi Nikki. Your DWTS is the international licenced version of Strictly Come Dancing, which is an original BBC format. The (slightly odd) British name comes from the longest-running tv show the UK ever had, which was a dance programme called 'Come Dancing' (following the real amateur competitive ballroom scene) and the Baz Luhrman film 'Strictly Ballroom'. It is said to have been planned as a bit of a piss-take of ballroom dancing, but the pro dancers they recruited got together and determined to train their 'celebrities' so hard that they would actually put on a worthy performance and not allow the BBC to make fun of their art. I remember that first series and the winner (Natasha Kaplinsky) really did put on some beautiful performances. The competition has sadly been jazzed up too much now by the producers and for several years hasn't been a fair contest, but it really lifted ballroom in the UK for quite a while.

I'm also in the USA, and I started watching DWTS in 2010, and at this point I barely even enjoy the show anymore. Strictly Come Dancing is another story however. I started watching in 2014, first on sketchy websites in poor quality and now though better, albeit still difficult ways, and it's like day and night comparing the two shows. Strictly has this magic to it, this level of positivity and fun. There's none of that reality show drama that DWTS that show the couples fighting in the packages or anything like that. Its campy in all of the best ways, and while I'm sure its not all sunshine and rainbows behind the set 100 percent of the time (like any workplace) everybody seems to get along, support each other, and really want to see their competition do well. The quality of the dancing is much better, the dances longer and more reminiscent of the actual dance styles (as you no doubt have seen from watching them on RU-vid). Every aspect of it is better than what Dancing With The Stars is now in my opinion. It's my favorite show on television, hands-down. I've gotten laughed at for saying that, and I know it's a 'reality show', but when it comes on in the fall for a few hours every weekend until December I forget how heavy and ugly this world can be and watch these master performers work their art, and watch folks start out new and uncertain and grow every week, celebrating every moment of growth, every moment of healing and vulnerability to a point where they're getting 10's and smashing it; it's just magical. It warms my heart and makes me cry happy tears. I hope the show is on forever.

I don't have a porblem with Danny, I just have a problem with rabit Doti fans which can't accept the fact that Danny makes mistakes and that criticise Ore constantly when he makes mistakes yet don't day anything when Dannt makes mistakes. Eg: Danny was out of sync and had mistakes in his charleston and nobody said anything... Ore stumbled in his argentine tango and it's the breaking news of 2016

Starr Osborne because they know Danny is league ahead of everyone else. They make it obvious when they say things like 'it's hard distinguishing between the pro and dancer' so they want to give everyone else a chance

Agree I felt claudia was especially undermarked on her Rumba. I thought they were going to kiss at parts so the comments of she has no connection was nonsense.

I stopped watching live after the 2017 final so that I could fast forward past Craig and Darcey's commentary. Giving it another try this year now Oti has been paired with Kelvin - fingers crossed 😁

Azza 179 but now Darcey has gone - Yeh She always had something negative to say about this pairing. Oti has another talented partner with loads of potential in Kelvin this year so I am giving SCD another chance after opting out last year (where I believe the Clifton show rolled on lol)
