Its definitely a rare transitional dial that i like the look of personally. It has the long f from the 14060 2 liner model and the date model 16610. Much more interesting then a stick dial imo
Great video Austin, loved your categorization of watch nerds in the beginning. Beautiful 14060! Miss my two-liner, but good to see you wristing the 16710 with black insert that I currently have :) Gives me some solace and comfort.
You forgot maybe the biggest category of Rolex owner - those that know full well they have a Rolex, because they went into a dealer and just said "I want a Rolex". They get the shiniest and biggest one they can, to impress others (they think it impresses others anyway!).
Another rare configuration on a 2007 14060M could be the last batch of the Two Lines Dial called frogfoot coronet You can find It between D8 to Z6 but not on every Watch in that range
@@watchsymposiumHi Austin!!! The Dial in this case has a frogfoot shape coronet and It Is maybe the last configuration before the 4lines/card warranty/RRR engraving as the no date sub became from mid Z series (2007) I Hope this could be interesting..... Thank you for all the beautiful discussion videos you bring to the Channel!!!!!
I believe the "long f" dial is , or will be the service dial for this reference in the future, so potentially we'll all have a long f dial on our 14060m 4 liner. Sorry if this is old news.
Thank you Austin. I’m stuck on which Sub no date to buy too. I am leaning towards a ceramic. I like the larger feel watch on my wrist. What’s your preference? I’m thinking your a pre ceramic watch man?
I’m sure you understand that this renders the watch truly anti magnetic. Not to mention handling shocks better. Also, the last of the 34mm Air Kings were treated to this upgrade, as well.
So that’s the other Danny. And in the future, he shall be referred to as “Danny-the-Greater” (and I shall be Danny-the-lesser). Oh, and I had to look up “pedantic.” That’s why you’re the best. Thank you. 👍😄
Whether the Rolex bubble has burst, or not, Rolexes will continue to be expensive. The flipping market needs to be corrected anyhow and once people realize they paid far too much, they'll stop doing so. That is good enough right now... Cheers fm Achim in Singaoore+
I can walk into a room and hear mechanical watches ticking, and I can tell just by the sound, and smell of the watch in some situations, the brand and the model. Ninja level watch nerddom.
