It's always funny how Dante talks about Zuko in first person as opposed to third person, like literally anyone else does for a character they play. He always says "*my* father" or "the scene where he scars *me*". This man is still dedicated to this character after so many years and it's great.
I love how much he seems to like Zuko, I mean he says that Mark plays HIS father, not Zuko's father! I kept fan girling when he said "My father" :D (Also he ships Zutara huzzah!) He seems like a really down to earth and awesome guy, I would love to met him!
the best voice actor in the world not only did he do well as Zuko in Avatar but also as Jake in American Dragon even in Legend Of Korra as General Iroh great dude talented voice he's a legend
2:30 oh my God things like this are why I love Dante Basco, that little "bless you" even in the middle of a story that he's telling like 10 other people, he's just so polite and cool.
Damn I didn't know the Joker voiced the Fire Lord!! Man Mark voices a character in almost every good TV show out there take for example skips from the Regular Show I didn't know it was him till I looked at the background info about the show.
Dante Basco is amazing and he has a gentle voice and demeanor about him that l just love so much and it's rare in a person to have both of those special Qualities.
i really love dante because not only is his ‘zuko’ voice his natural voice, but he also talks about zuko in the first person: “my father, he scars my face”
That’s why I love voice actors who already have such an iconic regular speaking voice. I’m sure it must be even easier for them since all they do is just talk regularly without having too change the pitch and Octive around constantly
Anyone notice how usually actors talk of their character in the third person, like "he played Zuko's father", and my boy Dante here is just like "my father"
That's actually really interesting (and kinda sad at the same time). I always imagine voice actors become really close and good friends throughout doing a show like this, and then Mark Hamil, the icon himself of Star Wars, walks in and out without so much as even a "hi" or getting to know his fellow coworkers. Makes me a little sad. :(
It’s always interesting when you can hear a voice actor’s characters even when they’re just talking with their normal voice. I enjoy VAs that can really get into character, but it’s really neat when they simply tweak their voice ever so slightly to become their character.
Unfortunately he is 44 and Zuko is supposed to be 17 so its gonna be quite a stretch, but I hope he gets a cameo appearance or something. Heck, he can play the firelord
I like how he goes first person when talking about Zuko and Ozai. You can just close your eyes and it's as if Zuko is actually talking about himself voice acting himself
Can he just- can he like, read the back of a shampoo bottle for me? Or like, recite a poem? Anything to keep him talking. Ugh ❤️ HE'S SO CHARMING, TOO!!
It sounds like Zuko is an actor who is giving an interview about being cast in ATLA. It could easily be made into animation, since Dante always talks about Zuko as himself
