@葛城遠藤 We never see that in the game so it's really hard to tell. I'm going off of a scaling system. Dante was implied to be holding back during his second fight with Demi Fiend. So a fully powered Dante (Especially what we ended up seeing in DMC 5) would really be a cakewalk for him
That is fucking true. No matter what difficulty you can be on, once this theme kicks in and you see Dante for a split second, you just gotta run! No time for stopping for a breath. You gotta outplay him and trust me, nothing is more scarier than having him enter a room and slowly walk to your location and having him trick you instead.
It's never really specified whether it's canon or not, but at the same time it doesn't contradict anything in the DMC timeline, so I guess it's down to your imagination
Its considered (somewhat) canon since SMT creators liked DMC a lot and wanted Dante in the game, and as for a collab with Capcom, they designed the DT forms of Dante in DMC 3, hell, DT form when using the Rebellion sword looks almost straight out of Digital Devil Saga imo. The "somewhat" lies due of being the other japanese edition where instead of Dante, is replaced by Raidou.
Yeah, I know the backstory behind why the collab happened. It honestly something I wish would happen more often in gaming to this extent. It's really badass.
I raged at that it was annoying why all that dodging dante and getting shot at just to fight him later at the end waste of time and annoying as fuck should of just skipped all that and go stright to the boss fight.
@Barack Obama the dds2 prison is a joke the original version of smt3 the 3rd kalpha was hard as dante was a pain to sneak by and if he caught you hed run and any swicth you pressed would be automatically reset every time plus his double guns slows you right down unlike raidous single pistol in the remastered version.
@Barack Obama hahahahahaha you died after the boss fight that boss fight is so easy compared to the frist fight against dante at mantra hq dante resets the swicths when he cacths you its raidou that dont reset the swicths at all dante is a pain on the 3rd kalpha always having you start over if he cacths you on the ps2 version but hes piss easy in the labyrinth juat keep your health up and dekunda his taunt and its a blasted cake walk.
@Barack Obama he shouldn't of even got your hp into the red zone in actual fight against dante in the labyrinth is so piss easy for all his crap dante is weak shit in the labyrinth.
I've honestly never played a Devil May Cry game (after playing this game and seeing Dante, however, I think I may need to give that series a try sometime soon), but I'm glad that he's the reason this game sold so well in the US because of him. If it wasn't for that, we probably wouldn't have gotten the rest of this amazing franchise here. That aside, this game's entire soundtrack just completely kicks ass.
@@777Roxen Except for the fact that he charges you to recruit him while Raidou at the very least pays you 1 Macca so he can join your party and 100,000 at most whereas Dante can take up to I think half your total Macca (though getting the 1 Macca discount is easy if you know DMC2 well enough).
Or Raidou Kuzunoha but that is not as cool as Dante even though it's the first time two protagonist from different series duke it out in all out battle
“Man that switch puzzle was pretty hard, now I have to fight Raidou/Dante again, the last fight wasn’t too hard so this one should be a piece of cake” -Top 10 things said before disasters
@snifflesnop! ! One of them is definitely "Oh no I was not expecting to randomly fight a boss in this room in the sewers! oh well, it's only like the 3rd boss in the game, im sure it wont be an impassable brick wall that i need to smash my head into"
@BurnedAce It was a stupid joke in DMC2 where a lady hires him for a job and he says he'll only accept if he flips heads, then at the end of the game it's revealed that both sides were heads so he was really just teasing the lady with the coin toss
Now I'm curious how Demi-Fiend's ability gonna be depicted like Gaea Rage and Freikugel in real-time action game But Imma guess it's gonna be terrifying
"I'll give you ten minutes to decide. Which one would you end up in? A coffin or a dumpster?" "Hey, go easy on the opening salvo, Raidou. Wouldn't wanna bump him off on accident..." _Nocturne Remastered Dialogue_ "This is getting good! What, are you not having fun? I'm having the time of my life!" _Original dialogue_ "This is getting good! You're having fun, aren't you? Me too!" "Hey, Raidou. Maybe its time you started using the sharp end of your sword. Seems like our demi-fiend's no pushover." _Third Kalpa_ "There's no place to hide. So whatcha gonna do, kid?" "I'm sure a man of your caliber wouldn't back down from a challenge. Now, show us what you're made of." "Looks like you've improved. I'm glad, otherwise it'd be another boring ass job..." "Its as if you've gotten stronger overnight... Color me impressed, demi-fiend!" "You're better than I thought. Guess I don't have to hold back after all. Time to show you how its done!" "Perhaps we underestimate him... Raidou, this is your cue to pull out all the stops, I mean it! Use every and any tricks you have up your sleeve!"
BTW this is canon, Dante did make his appearance and his boss fight is banger as hell. Wonder why Persona never make Collaboration with DmC since SMT make Collaboration with DmC TWICE (Nocturne and Dx2)
The Nocturne collab was a friendly exchange between develoupers. In exchange for Dante being in the rerelease of Nocturne, Kaneko did the devil trigger designs for dmc.
