Dante Campaign Details! 

I didn't think I'd ever say it on this channel, but the video feels a lot like an ad...

Looks cool, but its too expensive for me. For a $400 game + $100 shipping, I need a LOT more content.

The price of the miniatures is eye popping. Not a great deal IMO. Also that shipping, goodness. Eternal pledge shipping 1/4th the price of the entire pledge, which is $$$$$$$.

Cancelled my pledge today. Not sure enough to justify the high price. ~280€ for "just" 9 Levels is a high ask, the chronicle phase with the math challenges don't seem very interesting. The Boss battles seem great... so I'll wait and see what the future brings and maybe get it at retail if the price is right.

It's interesting to see you covering this game with so much passion, I'm worried about those backers not having received their CoD: Age of Darkness Apocalypse which reminded me that this week Flyos Games released their VtM: Chapters "Definitive Edition" after all the problems previous backers from Chapters and WtA: Retaliation have mentioned in the comment section. And again Flyos removing comments.

Campaign looks too short for me; I just don’t think that it offers enough playtime for the price and space that it demands.

Yeah, i backed it 1st day, as i just got Drunagor and am pretty impressed by it. Then i looked around the room and did not find a place to put it and i cancelled it Then i have been doubting about restoring my pledge until the campaign ended. I did not, mainly to running out of space. Then my credit card was charged anyways 🤔. So yeah, i consider it destiny and kept it 😂😂. 485 bucks (vat) was quite heavy, though, if i look at what they delivered with CoD for roughly the same amount.

I really want the game, but as a rest of the world fellow here; 390$ shipping is the hammer the decimates the camel’s back.

It's bad enough that they use renders instead of pictures of actual minis, but they're adding details on the renders (like cracking to make it look like a statue) that definitely won't be in the final product. I find that very shady.

@TheKingofAverage did you saw how ROYAL PUNKS - The GAME facebook page answers to people on his ad post from the 28 december 2023? Can't imagine how it will be with his costumer service once a client will have problems.

This was one of the games that I was most excited for this year. However, I will almost certainly drop my pledge at this point as the cost to value ratio is not great and many parts of it are not doing it for me. The short campaign length. early bird bonus and "textured" images all seem to be just designed to grab impulse buyers that do not think about it too much. In the end, I already have KDM and Oathsworn both of which look to just be superior boss battlers.

I initially pledged at the eternal level but then decided to lower pledge due to the champion packs not being worth it to me. But now I cancelled it after comparing it to Oathsworn, I could not stomach the price for what you get along with the so so chronicle phase and lack of champion variety for gameplay.

I think the other problem here is the prototype is not necessarily great. Love the boss fight but first two phases (specifically ordeals) are not great in fact a total rehaul feels needed. Its too short and those first two phases will get old quick (more so for replayability). I think right now its not worth it even at the cheapest pricetag. Maybe ill go in on it if it gets a 2nd printing. Just my opinions though. Outside that I just got Primal! Waiting for the extras to play though since I have a bad backlog right now... Lol

I was interested in this project but having ATO, KDM and Oathsworn i cannot justify the price tag and even recommend this game to anyone unless he is big fan of Dante itself and his novel. No variety in champions, only 9 bosses? Srsly the could stretch the game to have like 3 mini bosses per circle and one final or make 18 bosses, and based on your choices you would face different boss and the end of circle with some exceptions like the last circle of treachery where you just must face Lucifer itself, I don’t see any other option but for rest of the circles? Art style is also not my cup of tea, very specific, I was hoping the game would follow the patch of Dantes inferno from EA game which I loved and I think that was best adaptation of the concept of nine circles, the game was so dark and fleshy from the beginning where the first monster you faced were UNBAPTIZED CHILDS, can You image concept like this now? That was raw, also the hero who had cross embroider on his chest as act of penance. They missed me with this game concept and artwork by a mile.

I think the price of the all-in has caused a lot of the followers to hold off. It was definitely a shock to me given the number of bosses (which imo is more important then number of playable characters). It's actually what has been considering dropping my pledge. I do appreciate the added boss modes for the Coliseum, but I still wish that added a few more new bosses.

Personally just underwhelmed and its because of the Coliseum mode. Just not a big fan of additional game modes that never get played. (Cough Cough Tanarus Adventures). In the Case of Dante your automatically getting this additional mode, and a good majority of the stretch goals are for it. Their is also a lack of bosses, and most are not appealing looks wise. So for right now I will wait, but its looking like a pass.

Thought this was an instaback for ages. Not enough content for the price - the game modes don't interest me, nor do the dailly stretch goals which are just standard game content. Champions are all bland in passive poses vs the amazing proto-models they presented early on. Passing!

A company that prioritises themselves in terms of international shipping, costs are extremely high previously, I doubt future releases would be any different. I understand it but it shifts a considerable extra price tag on their good.. For a all in of Chronicles it was going to $1000 shipped.. Now I think the game would be great, but I'm not sure its a $1000 game..

"Zombie Horde" by Dark Gate Games looks interesting, but has anyone had experience with them? I see they fulfilled their last one, with delays of course, but figured some folks might have dealt with them more directly.

price too high for me to afford it......oathsworn is way cheaper for more content i will skip this one i guess waiting for new AR show to see whats coming up

Originally I was going all in but I watched Room and Board’s 5 reasons not to back and I’m definitely rethinking the level of pledge I want. This is a very expensive game but I know I’ll regret it if I don’t back.

Kinda done with big campaign games now. Got ATO, Middara, primal, league of dungeoneers, KDM, oathsworn, iss vanguard and a load more to get through. As fun as it looks it seems to be not a mile apart from other games out there. So I’m going to pass. Also the whole mythic saga has totally burnt out my need for long campaign games (as in long crowdfunding games you wait years for) Maybe I’ll grab on eBay if the urge takes me …. Keep my cash for other things. Plenty of 40K, legion imperialis and old world distractions waiting for me 😂

The chronicle phase with the cards seems weak to me. They need to implement something better than that.

The Fact that its follows the „old“ Rule of splitting the Game in a Boss Battler and a Story Part is a downer for me. I hate to read Pages over Pages with some mediocre Checks between, on my table. So for me a skip, even if i liked the Boss battling Part. Hope that the Genre gets more innovative on this Part in the Future.

I really hoped there would be alternative bosses to take the place of the different levels. Like maybe Cleopatra for lust instead or something.

Too expensive imho. I'd need to be 100% that this is worth it and not just something that I would only play once and be done with it.

My main problem is that I fear the game will not be finished like CoD. The 1.0 was full of bugs and the 1.5 still has a lots of mistake and typos from what I've heard.

As of right now I’m not going to back this one. Prime The Awakening is coming soon and I actually prefer many things about that more. And I know Celestial is going to cost $$$. And AR always seems to find a way to get some of my money too…

Think I am going to skip this in favor of other boss battlers. I can get a copy of Oathsworn which seems to offer more variety for less.

i ask in live when the project begin about tainted champion pack the last hero is van helsing or Solomon Kane because this is the only one hero that not similar the theme (shotgun)

When it comes to shipping hearing you say “100 bucks for the eternal, which is not too bad” absolutely blows my mind. You seem to be giving this game significantly more coverage and significantly better coverage than most. It is a very bad look when they have paid you.

This game isnt a good deal. Honestly, after all the hype leading up to launch it has been and looks underwhelming. Why would you spend this much for an Oathsworn-lite when Oathsworn is readily available and cheaper?

I went all in. I didnt get drunagor and regretted it. I dodnt get oathsworn at first and regretted it. This game looks like something special. And i want my name on the box

Dude, the shipping is 33%-50% of the base pledge. And the monochromatic game board is awful. Hard pass. But, it will be a success.

On a side note... HTF are the Sadlers still showing up in crowdfunding after their grift campaigns that left backers with nothing... *See Steamforged Games* Never backing from this company.
