I've had a lot of success kit-bashing the Gripping Beast plastic dark ages figures with several boxes of Wargames Atlantic Irish. Just in case anyone is wondering, however, the Victrix plastic equivalents (Saxons, Danes, Vikings) are much taller and not really compatible
Well done with comparison mate, although it wasnt what i was after these videos are great ways to avoid thatassive dissapointment of getting mismatched scaling. I get so pissed when i get 32 figures i can barely use! 😁

Great videos 👍 I have got almost all makers and now I m stuck a bit cause I m working on Scottish independence war so all claymore and antediluvian minis I m using for the Scott’s side so I m searching for proper English force.. I guess I ll risk and order 1-2 sets to see it myself. Do you have any footsore figure to compare ? Cause footsore are slightly tinier but mixable with claymore .. sorry for bothering with questions 🙂
@@SoaringHighRU All good, happy to help out fellow gamers wherever possible :) Only Footsore miniatures I have are from the Baron's War range and while lovely sculpts they are more 'true scale' 28mm and notably shorter than the other ranges. I don't think they'd mix too well in units but depending on your preferences might work well enough for standalone units or opposing forces, but again, caveat re personal preference there.
