Say what you say about Ironmace, but I must commend their honesty and openness when sharing with the community. Also, Terrance stay CEO! We don't want no business butthead to ruin this beauty.
With as large as this game is, and the anticipation of getting more players, imo I think they should add a practice arena to boss, so they don’t have to go through 12-15 minutes to clear and go down.
For new players an arena to learn how to deal with wraiths/beserkers/yetis etc would help out too. Sure it would take away a bit from the hardcore aspect, but better than them ragequitting the game permanently
No way. Part of the experience is going in scared, dying, learning from your mistakes, and improving the next time you go in. It takes time, and it's challenging, but then it's extremely rewarding when you overcome those challenges and can handle fights easier. Part of the experience is also dealing with those challenges in the face of other monsters and players at the same time. It adds to the complexity that actually makes the game fun and immersive. If they add a feature that lets people practice on individual monsters, it would take too much away from the experience of the game itself and overall diminish what makes it challenging and rewarding in the first place. TL;DR - Play the game expecting to die. Realize your mistakes, learn and overcome the challenge. I promise it's rewarding and you'll have tons of hours of fun.
Blood cells are produced in the bone marrow, which is the spongy material in the center of bones, so maybe thats the real reason why the skelly's bleed when you hit them.
This is fair. I tried to get this stuff up as soon as I possibly could. Chapters would’ve delayed it by hours. I will have a summary up for you this morning. I’m on 5 hours of sleep or so. Long day yesterday 😂
@@DD-zh4by Its a dungeon crawler, The circle was just kind of weird, maybe with the addition of arena we might see the swarm again as a sudden death feature though.
Criticism is worth more than compliments, the dev needs to work on his question and answers. He talks in circles with half baked analogies. I love the game been here awhile hope to stick around, but man listening to this interview was painful
I hope our boys can fix the rubber banding cause its pretty bad sometimes. Its usually the only reason I even get hit by mobs as well. Also for the love of god, make squire progression account wide. im glad they acknowledged the engine upgrade screwed up their silky smooth game play. itd be nice if they reduced the ms penalty on double jump as well :) especially with druid movement being in the game.
The skins we earned holding the line should not be able to be purchased i put the time in back when you were in hr with the same people you met a hour ago had to overcome so many issues in my way healing pots were cheaper but they only heal 6 health back then you spent alot more time waiting to heal if you didnt deal with pve the right way game was alot harder back in the day gear was more exspensive because there was no market place
Im sorry to say, but I find to SDF's approach and philosophy to balance to be absolute anguish. There is NO worse feeling in a class based game, than feeling punished for playing your preferred classes over the giga s+ tier flavor of the month. Class based PVP games require the absolute most consideration when it comes to balance. If you don't wanna deal with this, don't have classes, let me put whatever trait and skill I want on my character and let the players balance the game for you through those choices while still getting to play something that's at least close to the class flavor they're looking for. I respect the balls on the guy for publically saying "I don't really care about the balance", but honestly my reaction to this statement was "yeah, it shows".
It would be nice if they added colorblind mode options, I have a buddy that’s colorblind and it’s hard for him to tell certain things like for instance it’s hard for him to tell a normal Skelton from an elite one, he can only really tell by speed.
Leveraging FOMO cosmetics around the Adventurer rank might not sting so much if the system wasn't constantly changed mid-season to benefit a handful of crybabies and rug-pull everyone else. Just sayin'.
I know they said balance isn’t important right now. I do want to say that rouge silence is becoming a big problem in my circles. Wizards are having issues fighting back and or escaping them.
Onepeg , can you use your pull to have Ironmace make a random que, or some way to just fill your group with random people to play with. Rather than have to use the AOL chatroom style. Thanks
I like to imagine this is dream final result. Have a home that is for setting up game lobbies that you can upgrade, all the merchants in a town square area you can go to each and buy loot and get quests, and a tavern that people can buy drinks and gamble gold in games!
Can you please do a summary video going over the things that were talked about. Nothing against the guys but the way he repeats himself and doubles back on his sentence makes the conversation hard to follow at times, and with 2hrs it's just alot.
imo keep hr behind a paywall reduce the cost and give something for those who paid the full price , this makes the free to play much healthier and gives people motive to play to be able to sell gear on the market and playing multiple characters
Ironmace is killing it. You guys are brilliant. Please keep doing you. Should you consider increasing scope like you have, over time in the same creative/original output style, iron mace could astound over mainstream. (On mass.) Meet expectations or turn them on their head(?) lighthearted thought; regardless, game rocks.
they should poll old season rewards to see if players are okay with them being rereleased on the store, i would happily buy ones that i missed, let me be exclusive for a few seasons for those who earned. do not sell demigod rewards. this would also help passive income
@@imtherealfish6146 Not everyone can no life the game like me and if they got voyager and were happy to have that reward, they should get to have that reward and not get it devalued by microtransactions. I agree.
Fuck no what a terrible idea. That's why they're called EXCLUSIVE REWARDS. Don't bring that filthy mindset. If you suck ass at the game or don't take the time to play it tough luck!
Monks was mentioned by onepeg(along with Paladin) with no comment by devs and I think they mentioned unarmed combat as a thought for the future(along with the fact Sorcerer could cast unarmed). Monk doesnt seem to be on the horizon. Sorcerer is being worked on right now.
Listened to the whole thing, the entire podcast can be summed up to this repeated answer, "we would love to do this/that, but our resources/team/time is limited. We are working towards it." We are focusing on our priorities" Just say that about 15 times in your head and you've listened to the whole podcast, you're welcome
Yeah b/c the community rips them apart when they give any sort of timeline, way easier to be vague but give interesting information and show IM's gauged interest. Can't win with everyone.
For matchmaking system are they talking about about an MMR system or the gear based match making ? I enjoy the geared based match making and I do not believe it should change. They already have high roller if you want to go based off of MMR. I think the system is beautifully put together. That’s hard to get right. It’s honestly the reason I came back to the game after playing all 5 alphas.

Anyone have any fix/idea of what to do for an account that was upgraded early when Blacksmith launcher was made, but now it’s found as a free account? My friend can’t play the full game even though he bought it like 6 months ago…
Please dont remove stats from skins i really love it and appreciate it and I want to see a dwarf skin so badly so I really hope they keep it. I don't want this game just straight competitive but still fun and enjoyable fantasy experience.
so it seems that most of the troubles are due to simply not having more developers trained/capable of the content/systems design part of the job. most larger features fall to the 2 main programmers/designers and they lose speed by training new people. this is pretty normal for smaller dev studios, i just hope they can find the right people and get the ball rolling faster before the shortsighted masses leave for lack of new content. I also hope they can protect their original vision, new minds can muddy the waters and push to introduce mechanics from other games or designs that simply dont fit/belong in this game.
Wizard is a dying class, cant wait for them to add sorcerer just to juice them the fuck up like they did with lock and druid while leaving wizard to wallow in the pit of the dead.
The only thing that pisses me off about the ranked rewards being time locked to the season, is I never got my black skeleton because I did g log in to accept it at the right time apparently, even though I logged on during the next season at the start and end just not the middle. It’s bullshit
The only rank rewards i care about really is the race skins. I missed out on the mission to kill frost skellys and i want that chance back. Im all for having end of season rewards being locked after each season. But i just want to always be able to get the different races.
In my opinion the three layer dungeon is too much for one dungeon. There is to much to explore within one dungeon and the time invested for three layers is extremely difficult.
is more like an anti-new player thing for the cost of the voip service. They made the game free, so a lot of newcomers will play a few games and then uninstall the game by doing this they save a couple of bucks.
What if they can make drunken Bard build with all songs sounding dissonant, with side effects inflicting on teammates, high risk - high reword type of buffs/debuffs.
i love the game my small opinion is something to do with training system. and somehow add a purpose beside killing pvp-pve. thank u again for the game you are amazing.
If they wanted to keep the pre lobby they could take it out of just hr and leave it for normals i feel like that could be a good middle ground that wouldn’t hinder the high gear player experience
My comments are usually very critical of your channel but if there's one thing you're great at, it's interviewing and holding these Q and A's. You give plenty of time for guests to finish their thoughts completely, no unnecessary interruptions, come prepared, and stay on topic. Thanks for the info 👍
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-d3B7s8q41yM.html Thought I'd make sure folks had evidence that it *is* possible to make friends without being a streamer. This was recorded in the natural world of the dungeon.
hey Onepeg, what do you think about DaD adding a map where each quadrant is completely random, it could go from goblin caves, to ice cavern, to hell, to even ruins, and even the boss room is random. Obviously, make it PvE only so that players could learn the game, learn mobs, learn bosses.
devs didn't exactly say that they were mixing the maps together like this, but they did say that they want randomly generated maps. i don't know if that means random rooms or premade rooms in random areas but either way I'm really excited for it.
@@justlucky4935 oh, yeah, I misunderstood the "between maps" part in your comment, yep, I don't think they are going to merge maps any time soon, but a random layout of each map at least will be a good start, excited for it too.
Bulk buy gold bags? Sorry, but that is a bad suggestion. The real one should be to just remake the whole bag system. It's annoying as hell to carry 100 little bags that fill up your inventory, it simply makes no sense that they did it like that.
They are ping pong balls with a robot that fires them when chat tips $1/$3/$10/$50 USD. They get shot into my neck at approx 70mph at full speed per the manual (I have it turned up to full speed)
Idea for multi classing( Ik some people did not like it but this is just an idea) Each class can only have one perk and skill from another class( I could have rupture and poison weapon and blow of corruption and anti magic on my fighter but all have to be at the level thresh hold) Sounds part add perk, skill and spell mastery. ( stronger version of fireball, robust is now 20% rather than 15%, smite has better magic scaling or so thing ) And last you can only master perks skills and spells from your class so you can’t put level 2 fireball on your cleric it can cast level 1 fire ball. This makes the classes feel more like there class when you go against it. If a rouge wants to multi class with barb the rouge should not be as Tanky as a barb it’s still a rouge they should be a little more tanky sure but not 100% the same classes getting buffed in higher level games to could add some more power to people making them feel as if there character is growing in power after level 20? ( one peg tell iron mace plz lol)
Bro. I got banned for nothing. Made a ticket. Been a week. Fuck this game. I’ve been a loyal supporter for so goddam long as they ruin mage and let cheaters run amuck but they ban me?? No evidence shown, no statement. Just fucking fucked. Fuck this game.
I love the game, but they patch it like a child patches a minecraft server with his friends. Multi-Classing, do I even need to elaborate. Staff Changes. Did you really have to push it into live in order to figure out you can 2 or 3 tap someone in a 15k kit. Move Speed changes ongoing. I think it became pretty apparent pretty quickly but even prior to that like Move speed was one of the most powerful traits of a class. In this style of game it entirely controls engagements. The list goes, on here but it just feels like this should be done in a test enviornment, they said once upon a time that they didn't have the player base because the game was nearly dead prior to the steam launch but with 40-55k concurrents like for the love of christ please guys.
This is fair. I tried to get this stuff up as soon as I possibly could. Chapters would’ve delayed it by hours. I will have a summary up for you this morning. I’m on 5 hours of sleep or so. Long day yesterday 😂
#1 take away, they are “hacking” the code in the game. It’s been like that since day 1 and it’s why they struggle to make real improvements. The spaghetti is thick.
The part of the conversation you are referencing was him talking about the "new" spell idea they had for warlock having a mobile camera that they could control temporarily. A LOT of programming is seeing if something will work, or in other words, mish mashing some things together and seeing if the code works and it did. Part of this conversation is them discussing the HUGE inventory system overhaul they did specifically for this wipe to set up for better features down the road. I've been playing since playtest 2 and the first iteration of their inventory was definitely hacked together but coming all this way to refine the system to better handle future features is, whether you like it or not, a part of development. There's a story about how creepers were added to Minecraft as a mob, the creator Notch, accidentally was trying to make a pig out of blocks for his game but rotated the body vertically and instantly realized it was a "hacked" in monstrosity that he wanted to make a feature. Let them cook my guy.
@@monopolisify no I was referring to them being unable to get their heads around creating a tutorial. There are basic features like swapping items in the stash when you drag and drop that should be easy to implement but they don’t do it. The conclusion I’ve come to is that one or very few people know the entire code baseline. Everything is hacked together like a mod imo.
@@DiabloGoldSecrets well if your number 1 take away from this 2 hour convo is that the code is hacked together and you commented as such I don't know what that has to do with creating a tutorial. If your concern is, concepts being hacked together then I really don't understand how you wouldn't be concerned that a tutorial they create wouldn't start the same way. A little buggy. All I was trying to say to your comment is, almost everything in almost every game was at some point "hacked" together before it was refined into something like Minecraft features IE: creepers. If you were to use Minecraft as an example for a game that started as an indie project with miniscule features, compared to what it is now you probably would've said the same things about Minecraft. 10 years later (eventually got a tutorial) a massive releases since then have culminated from one mans scratch game code into a classic game that people will play, I think, about as long as people have been playing tetris and Dark and Darker has a lot of that same potential, but to write off "hacked" together game ideas and concepts being the reason they can't improve anything is ridiculous. As soon as they added the quest log to the lobby it took them 2 - 3 hot fixes to listen to the community and have it added to the in game UI.
