UPDATE: Treasure AP will give more AP for higher sell price, consider this during raids. Sorry for the confusion. "Item Achieve 1 AP/ 1 XP , 2 AP/ 2 XP, 3 AP/ 3 XP, 4 AP/ 4 XP, 5 AP/ 5 XP, 6 AP/ 6 XP, 7 AP/ 7 XP. Most Misc items follows this pattern, including items that are more than 1 slot, such as the Ancient Scroll, Gold Waterpot, and Gold Crown. Thus if you want to maximize Item Achieve AP or XP gains you should prioritize single slot items. To see exceptions to this rule visit the Adventure Rank page for AP, and the Experience page for XP. Misc Items with different Item Achieve AP values than the Rarity rule (above) have a column to indicate their score. Treasure Misc items give an equivalent amount of Treasure AP as their Sell Price. See the tables below to see the specific prices." Up to date info here: darkanddarker.wiki.spellsandguns.com/Misc tbh this makes HR that much better.
Awesome video, a couple suggestions: 1. Add chapters to allow viewers to skip to the part they want to watch. Very helpful and your effort won't go unnoticed! 2. Given the length of the video, give us a visual summary of the most important talking points. For example, give us a numbered/bulleted list of the most optimal ways to farm AP (mob kills, treasure rarity and sizes, etc.) so we know for sure what to do in our next HR games. 3. Rather than audibly explaining hypotheticals like your blue Shadow Mask vs. Hounskull situation, give us something to look at so we can visualize it. This way we can look at it and say "that makes sense" rather than trying to follow what you're trying to explain. Overall, good content and I'll definitely share this with some friends. Thanks for taking the time to research!
best darker and darker guide I've seen online no question. my eyes suck tho so i couldn't see your mouse really, you can go to mouse setting in windows and make your cursor bigger with colour if you wish. pretty sure you can set profiles for easy use.
Love the vid bro changes my whole vision on things and thanks for the taking the time and dedication to make this vid. Just a tip tho, if you make a script of what you want to say tou can make thw whole video a whole more compact and easier to watch for more casual players or people with less attention span.
@@LeninErimos From what I see on the wiki it's true : "Misc items give an equivalent amount of Treasure AP as their Sell Price." + AP for item rarity from what I know.
I’m about to hit every chair in the dungeon after this 😎 great video man!! Really cleared up a lot of the confusion I had - now if I can just avoid PvP I’ll be Demigod in no time 🎉
Great Analysis, They really switch up on us with AP values, I was running on out dated knowledge lol Can't believe a 4 slot treasure = 1slot of the same rarity i been duped
28:00 When candy was in the game, there was an exploit to separate the stack instead of ten in one slot. You would get more ap this way. I'm pretty sure they've changed it since.
You should not loot the vast majority of mobs. It’s not worth the time except for mummies, zombies, beetles, dragonflies, and death skulls. Even then you’re gambling when you could be moving to a chest which guarantees interaction ap and a chance at treasure.
Wait what, I just did a test run, had only half my inv with rare-epic treasure and got over 500 ap for that. It also sold for 551 gold so It looks like treasure AP is equal to the sell value of said treasure
Do barbarians get ticks for prop interaction when crushing chests? we don't get quest progression for crushing the small oak chests for example so it's hard to be sure
Crypts and ice caverns are longer but you end up getting twice as much ap with a lot lower chance of having to pvp. I grinded out demi on my alt in only goblin caves as a barb and it was much slower than my ranger doing crypts ice abyss and chilling. I was min maxing on treasure kills and interactions in goblin cave but at best id get half the ap with a much higher risk of pvp.
I am confused. Why do normal versions of bosses have AP rewards? They can't spawn. There is a small chance for normal enemies, so I get that, but not bosses.
So does a 4 slot treasure, let’s say blue bowl, give more AP than a looted blue boots or gloves? Considering it’s the same amount of slots I really would like to know haha
pretty sure that isnt how player spawns work. half those spawns, ive never spawned at. pretty sure when you spawn in, people are mostly spread out across the map.
Yea that’s what I’m thinking. Whenever I play with my buddies and there’s like 2-3 teams in the lobby we always just go directly across the map and pretty much always find someone
@@nephewlol I often find purple loot inside crates so it may be worth it if you can break them quickly. Barrels are iffy imo because some have skeletons. So long as you can break them quickly I say go for it
@@nephewlol if you're playing a fighter, cleric, or druid, use the morning star. It breaks created in a single hit, had good damage and armor penetration, and allows you an offhand item like a shield, lantern, or crystal ball.
This sort of disection of game mechanics is what kills the fun in games. Through a few participants it forces a meta on the rest of the player base. We get so excited about solving the puzzle we dont stop to think if we should.
The problem is that someone is gonna do it no matter what. Yeah games are more fun upon release when they are all mysterious and full of unknown stuff but it can't stay like that that is just the nature of games
