The latest Balance Dataslate is here and there are some HUGE changes, and some very welcome, very substantial Buffs to the Dark Angels! So let's look and see just what's new for the Sons of the Lion!

Inner Circle Task Force should remove the Infantry restriction on Vowed Objective, allow DW Vehicles to benefit from the buffs from the Vowed Target.

Inner Circle Companions can go with Librarian instead of Azrael, they will still got a 4+ inv

I’ve been looking closely at some of the DA iconic units as I love my dark Angels I’ve got around 200 terminators, the Vengeance is the unit I believe drops the ball the hardest. Its firepower got nerfed and I don’t believe they featured on many lists. Its ability though needs a re-write, I think it should be when an enemy unit destroys one of your units near the Vengeance it can fire but its counted as firing overwatch and can be used by multiple vengeances and being once per phase during the opponents turn.

Its not enough but thats where dark angels should of started anyway. 4up to devastating wounds FINALLY being applied is good.

Yeah I think some more could be done to bring them up a little bit more, but I have to say I'm glad I won't feel flat out stupid by bringing my knights or companions anymore at least! 🤣 I still think Lion could do with a small drop in points or his 2D sweep profile back, and I'd still like to see some more Buffs for Ravenwing, but at least it's a step in the right direction!

@@TheSixMachine drop the lion 50 more and they're on the table tomorrow! Lol well.... I still haven't built any deathwing or the lion because they were so bad but perhaps I won't sell them anymore idk it's close. Think of this way... I only bought 40k stuff because I thought the products would be supported sufficiently with constant updates but if the balance is bad or the updates are off then the product suffers for such a length of time that if you aren't a life long 40k player ebay starts looking better and better right lol. I can play a video game that's perfectly balanced with proper digital updates right. False equivalence fallacy but you get the point. Dark angels were nerfed from 9th to 10th as everyone was and then nerfed again even harder in their book and half the units went to legends... so is the claim they couldn't see the writing on the wall? Lol for the record they are playable now... at least inner circle is... hunters detatchment is still too weak versus chaos renegades detatchment.

@@Aurius.Strange No idea where Dev wounds come into play with the Mace. (on second thought, I think that poster meant the 4+++ vs Mortals from Dev wounds on the Lion) The Anti keyword on the Maces is cool; although it's useful for them specifically when not fighting on the Vowed Objective or outside Inner Circle Task Force. If the Knight is fighting on the Vowed Objective in Inner Circle task force, you may want to go with power weapons instead (unless you expect T12).

The Lion is much more viable and the buff to the knights is great. Do i see these changes helping improve our situation overall? Not really BUT at least we can field those units without feeling bad.

300 is still lot; 50 points for removing -1 to wound. That said, his 4+++ vs Mortals has a bit better mileage now.

I like the changes they certainly help, but i as still think the knights have gone up to much 225 would have made more sense. I also wish they would fix company heroes properly. I.E why can't Lazurus lead them or in fact any chapter commander in the correct armour. Should inner circle make deathwing units battleline aswell? For a little more fluff they may overpower with the pariah nexus changes to battle line?

The detachment rule feels good and at least knights and inner circle got -2 back. What's weird is they get lethal hits. But that usually for a lieutenant so should it be devastating wounds? Seems like an error to me

@dantheman2237 or run then with azrael and get sustained and 4+invulnerable and lieu by his side?
