Hi guys! Today's video on COLOR CORRECTION dos and don'ts will have helpful tips on how to color correct. Color correction can be used to cover dark marks. I use L.A. Pro in red and I can still see the dark circles under my eyes. I then counter act that with NYX in a shade which seems to work fine until hours later and bam, back to dark circles. Im on a budget and usually get items from my local beauty supply stores. I will keep trying. Im getting close, especially with this video. Thanks Shlinda

this video was right on time!!! i was online today looking for a concealer and you’re right if it ain’t the right color it ain’t happnin! i tried to correct with nars concealer in a color with red undertone and it was ok but not right! used la girl pro concealer and its too orange! im going to see about this smashbox stick you use! that might be it for me! thank you for putting out awesome videos with great info! u always keep it 💯!

LOL me too!! was it the nars hazelnut concealer? lol i saw a vid with some girl using that to color correct and conceal cuz it has a red undertone so i went out to sephora last night and bought it.

it worked great, i wore it today, and my pics came out dark circle free for once lol. i used the "Red" color corrector by Maybelline Camo, then i put that nars hazelnut on top real thin and then the urban decay all nighter concealer in dark golden to brighten it up cuz it was suggested to me by the sephora worker since the hazelnut doesn't brighten. worked great for me, which never ever happens. got a lot of compliments today, felt good lol

Yea I think this la pro orange corrector is too red for me. It never blends into my skin and I have to apply extra foundation to conceal the redness

I color correct with Mac's prep and prime in Peach Lustre, but I really like that Smashbox one you used in this video...need to give that one a try. Great video Shlinda... very informative!

This was a great video. My under eye is as dark as yours but I'm probably a shade darker than you. I need to color correct, but right now Im using IT cosmetic Deep. My problem/issue is my eye lid is as dark as my under eye. Trying to get eye shadow to show its true color is impossible. I put Mally's color corrector on my lid and it doesn't stay. My lids are extremely oily. I just need help all around the eyes. I''ve purchased beautiful eye pallets, but seldom use because they disappear. I always enjoy your video and spirit. God Bless!!!

I've seen influencers moisturize first then apply a concealer the eyeshadow right on top... That way the eye shadow has something to cling to. Usually the eye shadows of powder and the concealers are a cream. Some people powder with their setting powder before applying the eye shadow and some people don't. I think it's a man of you testing it out on yourself like play with it. The drag queens used this cream that's white and then they apply the eye shadow right on top of that then you could you setting spray

I'm currently using the LA Girl in orange, I've been using it for a long time so it do it's job. I've also tried MAC's peach luster. I really haven't tried anything else.

Hi Shlinda I just started color correcting under my eyes using a sample of Clinique’s under eye corrector. It’s a light peach tone and it seems to work well. The Smashbox stick is too dark for me. I just ordered LA Girl’s peach corrector so I’ll see how that works.

I have dark circles under my eyes and made a mistake and bought a concealer the exact color of my skin. It seems to work and blend with my foundation. My foundation has golden undertones. The correction seems to be neutral. I don't want to look crazy😫

I find that cheap concealer like Maybeline concealer covers my dark circles.Just as well as. Mac. I wonder if these people aren’t being paid. To drop certain expensive cosmetics names for a. Fee from. the company.

you are also probably not under heavy lights and a camera all day. so the longevity and applications you would need your makeup for is really different. it's the reason why bridal makeup looks so amazing, and lasts the entire wedding. And she showed several different price points -- MAC (moderately priced, MUA's get great discounts so, and they are a holy grail for many especially since they were one of the first brands to really put time and energy into making complexion products for the wide range of dark complexions) and LA Girl (super inexpensive). If she was saying go get Chanel or Armani's stuff that would be one thing, but MAC is not THAT expensive and it lasts a long time so you get a good bang for your buck even as against drugstore products since they dryout quick and often use ingredients that exacerbate skin conditions.
