Like the dutch then the french and then the english and (relatively recently) the US than now China is slavin away and eventually "other Sentient life throughout time" then the Dark eldar!
KommissarKek Those crazy bastards raid planets in the middle of evacuating away from Tyranid hiveships approaching the planet. Forts don’t bother them at all.
Honestly you’d think the Administratum would have a info book, like some kind of cheap pamphlet like thing filled with the do’s and don’ts of being a planetary Governor -if it’s green, shoot it and burn the area -if it’s blue, shoot it and anyone who looks like they listened to what it had to say -if it has pointy ears shoot it and hope to the God Emperor you hit it -if it’s metallic and came up from the ground, shoot it...multiple times just to make sure it doesn’t get back up -if you see giant bugs in the sky that are definitely not part of your local mega fauna, shoot it and spray copious amounts of big spray. -if it looks like you but has an 8 pointed star shoot it! Note* the shooting should also coincide with loud and constant screams of “HELP!” for as long as humanly possible
I think planetary governors are often doing whatever they want and administratum has more worrying problems than a few governors that... deal with xenos as long as they pay taxes of course
you prolly dont give a shit but does anybody know a tool to log back into an instagram account? I somehow forgot the account password. I love any tips you can give me
TAKE A SHOT EVERY TIME ARCH SAYS: Generally. Essentially. Particularly. Specifically. But hey, details! Relatively speaking. In all due likelihood. As humanly possible.
Ork Freeboota: "Deez pointy-eared gitz are doin' it all wrong. Itz simple! Da biggest git calls da shots! Ya don't need all dis Bad Moon Ekonameee squig-crap!" "Zoggin' knife-eared idiots..."
Jim Oerther if I remember my lore the dark eldar can get spirit energy from any strongly felt emotions. They could get the energy by love or making people laugh...sadly they are just assholes.
Marijuana Merlin it basically is unless you're poor, then you just die and get sent straight to super hell to suffer beyond anything you could possibly every imagine.
Internet Zen Master Well I guess if the Vert just murdered a couple of assasins that day and going to the games to enjoy himself, I think the last thing he would want is a bunch more idiots trying or accidentally shoot at him, so yes, there’s a difference, the difference is easily spotted, the audiences are people with guards and shields, participants are everyone else.
It's more: > Fly in fast. > Abduct anyone they can find (And they are hide and seek masters). > Get out and as a result doom the ones abducted to something that makes hell sound like a vacation (Simply being raped or stabbed being something a long the lines of paradise in comparison).
7:42 there a actually a term for this in economics. Slaves have a near inelastic demand. Since all dark eldar need slaves to survive they have to purchase them. So the price is what ever the cabal believes their customers can pay. If that's 110% of an average dark eldar salary well that's just unfortunate it's it*sarcasm*. The only thing that might lower the price is massive influx of slaves, but this only seems to be done for rationing purposes . I can see why vat birth is neccessary to keep this race alive. I wonder does the constant near starvation of the lower classes help feed the dark eldar in Kabals?
I doubt it helps that Dark Eldar are so treacherous and evil that odds are pregnant mothers would be as fair a game as any other Dark Eldar within Commoragh.
To be fair, the only eldar who'd even CONSIDER having naturally-born kids are the "aristocracy", which can usually afford luxuries like those. From what I recall, the eldar have an exceptionally hard time breeding, so while struggle snuggles are no doubt common in their ghettos, I doubt there's all that many pregnant women, even with rape babies. So, I guess that's kind of a silver lining in a really fucked up way? I don't fucking know. According to all known laws of biology the dark eldar should be dead by now, so it's kind of hard to apply our logic to their society.
Dark Eldar completely deserve the hell they made. At least take solace when ones head is crushed under a space marines power boots they go to see a gleefully happy Slannesh who will greet upon them far more torment then they visited on they're victims.
For the Dark Eldar to avoid open combat as much as HUMANly possible, they'd have to qualify as human first. Last I checked, they do not. So it would be more correct to say they avoid combat as much as ELDARly possible. I couldn't resist :D
Dark Eldar like isolated Ice worlds with promethium mines. . . why do I feel like this is hinting at something that is going to happen in the Lurking Hunger campaign?
Reminds me of the Barbary Corsairs who raided European coastlines for slaves right up to the point the Europeans invaded North Africa and converted the countries there into colonies.
Lan'lara weaved effortlessly to her left. An amused sneer began to creep along her black coloured lips, as the bayonet thrust missed the bare skin of her midriff by the merest of margins; a hairs breadth; so gloriously close. Her right hand lashed out instinctively as he passes. Her wickedly serrated blade opens his throat wide. Another three Guardsmen die before the body hits the floor. Lan'lara never stops, moving forward through the melee, her blade flicks out as if it were a living thing of bloodthirsty sentience. Lan'lara feels the rush of invigoration as each blow lands; a jolt of energising life for every perfect deathstroke. The Human Guardsmen react with a statuesque slowness as though they are made of the heaviest stone, but die as if they're made of glass. Her elven agility and perception give her a laughably superior advantage in the visceral intimacy of close quarter combat; the humans barely registering her before their life is stolen. A hoarse grunting bellow, snaps her from the trance like blur of battle frenzy. The Guttural, barbaric, braying of an officer; that meant the possibility of a challenge. Lan'lara moved with the fleet footed grace of her species. Guardsmen disappeared in splashes of hot crimson, painting her alabaster skin with vibrantly rich lifeblood. The officer had seen her coming. He fired his clumsy, oversized pistol. The rounds stopping just inches from her gore streaked form, colliding with the flickering shadow field enveloping her body. Lan'lara pounced at the human, clasping a hand on the back of his neck and plunging her blade through his chest then sinking her teeth into the pulsing artery in his neck. He died badly. He died quickly. Lan'lara screamed a frenzied warcry to the skies, her orgy of death and murder was only beginning. She was only getting started. She is Dark Eldar. This is what she does best.
you got one thing wrong, he didn’t die quickly. There are ways to make a person die painfully and very slowly with very few steps, especially if you understand the physiology of your target.
Also if I was the dark eldar, I ‘d chomp on the vein instead, it lays nearer to the skin, spurt blood slower, so the victim die slower, more agonizing, also a well aim chomped can make the blood flood the pulmonary system, making the scream muffled yet at the same time choking your victim with their own blood. I’m sorry, I ought to be on some watch list now.
manh phuc thanks for feedback. I'll note the medical stuff down for future use. I've not been writing long, I write these just to test myself. It was a daft spur of the moment thing, didn't really plan anything at all, just started typing.
Adam Wilson I know man, I do this kind of stuff all the time too. But sometimes some people point out some inaccuracies took them right out of the experience, I know to usually research my stuff before I wrote it down. I’m currently working on a medieval story now and I’m researching medieval weapons armor and their uses fanatically. Of course you can’t normally consult anyone on how to off someone slowly and as dark eldarly as possible, but it never hurts to ask someone from the field, like people who get gut shot in war movies and have time to have last words took me out completely. IF YOU HAVE STRENGTH TO HAVE LAST WORDS, SAVE IT FOR SCREAMING INSTEAD BECAUSE TAKING OUT THE BULLET IS GONNA HURT, A LOT.
manh phuc sound mate. Thanks for the advice. I do research for my stories but I like to write little short stories like this on impulse, with no writing aids or wiki, because they're just for fun and unimportant really. I'm currently writing a dark fantasy but I've hit the proverbial wall. So I'm just brainstorming.
More Dark Eldar stuff down the line please, didn't realize that i actually liked dark eldar lore. It's extra GRIM DARK ! and here is some praise for you effort... Well done, you didn't shit the bed.
I don't know if anyone has done this story before, but I think it'd be a great novel if a Dark Eldar starts a raid, right before 'Nids attack the same planet.
Ah yes, the Vikings in Space, that'd be something interesting, considering that the one who'd be reading it is Norwegian. He mentioned them during the Gene-Seed lore video and then there's...THAT conflict on a certain world that later resulted in them fighting against the Grey Knights.
How would Dark Eldar react if the planet esentialy go full on Krieg on the start of their psychological campaing? Is there a documented case when a world reacted by offering such vigorous resistance that The DEs were like "fuck this shit, aint worth the trouble" and ran away?
Hey Arch love your lore videos I would love for u to do a lore video on the imperial navy as well as the types and classes of ships and the weapons used on said ships.
Dark Eldar fucking with a Forge World... Oh, please do. It would please me greatly to see the Dark Eldar taking on 10 Skitarii Macroclades, Legio Cybernetica, Ordo Reductor, and Auxilia Myrmidon support, a Titan Demi-Legio, and up to three Knightly Houses... I can already hear the squishing sounds. 🤣
High above Plaint EARTH the Dark Elder receives an update of there terror campaign "Good News commander After we sent our snatch squads after those on that Wish list they sent us our ratings are closing with Celebratory Big Brother"
Arch! Love the videos going to become a patron soon. Got a question of you have time. I can't find the beast arises book in the black libary where should I look?
I just finished reading the book series "path of the dark eldar". That is 700 action packed and interesting pages right there. Can highly recommend it! Also made me want to start collecting and playing Dark Eldar, these guys are just sooo grimdark and awesome!
Targets like a largescale Promethium Mining operation, on an Icy Planet... hmm... Say, Arch. Was that a spoiler, implying that Arith will meet with lots of pointy eared new friends, in the upcommung lurking hunger episodes?
I am wary of a lot of things going on in 40k lore right now, because I am a huge edgelord who loves stuff like Slaanesh and the Deldar. The new events seem to be building towards a family-friendly "Age of Emprah" setting which is a huge no-no for me.
That´ll be only a bother to the clean up crew later. Dark eldar blood is probably even harder to get off than normal blood considering how much shit they injected into themselves...
I just realized this is basically monsters inc. Energy from fear, get in get out because if you stay you are incredibly fragile, heck in monsters inc the boss was planning on taking captives to extract screams
Arch, can you do one on Tau. I am writing story involving Tau attacking an outlying Imperial Shrine world. This vid was great because when both sides are fucked the Dark Eldar turn up. Perhaps a planetary defense vid too. What does the Imperium do when a planet is attacked? Where do populations go? Do they hide underground? Do they evacuate entire planets? Is everyone imediately conscripted? Or are the populations left to fend for themselves? Where do the nobels, high up in the spires of a hive city plan to survive orbital bombardments? At what point is a world concidered lost by the Imperium? Can fleets be seen approaching in space (given that the Tau aren't actually in the Warp) or can they still be seen psychically? Thanks, keep up the good work.
Imma try and answer these. 1: If they’re lucky enough a psychic message will get out to someone who can help, but this can take a very, very long time for the farther out worlds. 2: I believe they’ll simply stay within their Hives, as they’re very deep underground and nearly impossible to destroy from the outside. These cities can survive orbital bombardments with their walls alone. Depending upon the world and situation, civilians are either put in bunkers or whatever the commander feels is necessary, you can always make the whole population a penal legion if you need more men. 3: Until any help arrives, basically any Imperial world under threat is on its own unless there’s a nearby fortress world or Astartes fleet passing by. And if the enemy has either taken over the world, or is about to take it, the Imperium may take their ball and go home, in the form of a planet cracking bombardment just to make sure those filthy Xenos don’t have the last laugh.
During the Kaurava conflict the Imperial Guard were some of the hardest hit by Dark Eldar "Hit and Run" tactics. These raids - often small in size - came under cover of darkness and at lightning speed. Often the Guardsmen on duty would not have returned a single shot before the Dark Eldar ships were speeding away laden down with captives and other spoils. The Dark Eldar penchant for speed, fear and striking from the shadows served them poorly; however, when they found the 252nd Conservator Regiment pounding on their door, no amount of running or hiding could save them. The Imperial Guard swept over the Black Heart Cabal's compound on the moon of Lacunae, crushing everything under its mighty marshal treads. The Imperial Guard Soldiers were horrified at the tortured and mutilated comrades they saw there and when their victory was near this was channelled into a vindictive rage. Which did not subside until the enemy's buildings and vehicles were shattered, levelled and then crushed into dust.
Seemed that there was a few times in the video where you had a change of word choices, and didn't edit them out properly, one being around the 39:28 mark, a change of Planetary Commissar to Planetary Governor.
Stephen Flint I think that’s intentional since Arch being Arch it must be a reference to the war for Armagedon and a bunch of other Commisars like the guy in Gaunt Ghost.
Eh i'd love to personally execute every single one of those traitorous backstabbing cunts. at least the Greyknights perform a needed role, the Minotaur's are the bitch boys of the high lords of Terra.
Adam Redmayne Uhm the Minotaurs are massive ship combat specialists, if there’s a space hulk game, one of the most normal chapter to expect is in fact the Minotaur since boarding action is their specialty.
Well...that has to be the most retarded thing I've read today. The ancaps do tend to stick with their "non-aggression principle",so any semblance between ancaps and DE is only in your head.
In all info i heard online Drukhari attacks the easy targets and avoids to dangerous confrontations. But what i wonder is, Can they match up with a space marine in close combat, can they out shoot a tau. In all lore it talks about insane grace and skill in wyches, and kabal tactics and tecnology. But what happens in a real confrontation?
I'm surprised that the Salamanders Space Marine chapter haven't launched a full-scale assault on the Dark Eldar. After all they did pay a visit to them once,so they must know to some extent how to enter the webway..
It was orchestrated by Vect so he could overthrow the old Eldar nobility and assume control he purposely teleported the the space marines there. Space marines wouldn't be able to enter the realm of the Dark Eldar without insider help
i wonder .. who would win .. The flash with the ability to travel faster than a laser beam armed only with a long katana made from some kind of exotic metal or compound with the blade edge that was sharpened to a half a molecule due to something like a energy shield thereby able to "cut" through anything .. versus a company of vet dark eldar doing a raid on a low defended planet as in they know that they are under attack but the normal populace have no real way to defend themselves next to being able to inform the flash where the Eldar would be on the planet.
That is one of the funniest things about 40K is that elves go to hell and they die. No matter what they go to hell when they die that's why they are so terrified of it
