Bassist of similar vintage here, and totally agree w/ your assessment of Peter Northcote's playing. Many other good solos here on the site to enjoy. They're all good. Love Victor's playing and Barry's singing. Playing w/ three different drummer's (that I've seen so far), all VG, and "voila": a great sound.

It's from the 1973 Doobie Brothers album "The Captain and Me." You should be able to find it in any record/CD store. It went platinum in sales way back in 1973 and is a favourite of the baby boomer generation!

No worries, Mate! (no, I'm in upstate NY) I only discovered Barry and his bandmates w/in the past 2 weeks and can barely go a day w/o hearing Pete Northcote's tasty guitar parts and gorgeous, well-constructed solos. I've pretty much listened to everyone of Barry's numbers on this site (and a few favorites over and over now). He's got a terrific voice and uses it very well. Victor on bass is so good. Yes, they all make a great band playing so well individually and "ensemble".
