With your level-headed and I would say subtle presentation I'm not sure most people would realize how much helpful information you have provided. Anyone would do well to listen CAREFULLY to all that you had to say. We tend to be too impatient...and then get irritated when things don't turn out the way we wanted. Your video has helped me. Thank you for taking the time to provide this.
I try very hard to explain every detail to the best of my ability to make it easier for everyone to understand. Thank you for your support I'm glad that I could help. 🙏🏾
THERE ARE THOUSAND VODEOS ON LAWN CARE BUT I WOULD SAY YOUR CHANNEL IS THE # 1 BECAUSE OF THE WAY YOU EXPLAIN STUFF. WITH OTHERS THERE IS LOT OF BS AND STAGE PERFORMANCE COMPETITION. PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE. THANK YOU DAVE ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🇨🇦
This comment made my day. I try not to BS people around and just want to make sure I'm explaining the proper way to care for a home lawn. P.S I'm not good at all the theatrics anyway lol. Thank you I truly appreciate your support.
Lawn Amateur, I've been following you faithfully for about two months now, and you've been extremely helpful. Trugreen burnt my lawn on July 3rd, and they pretty much told me my lawn was done! I started watering daily. Did my first humid acid application on July 17th and Ironite on July 25th. It was too early for fertilizer, so I did Miracle Gro Lawn Food on August 8th. I did my 2nd humid acid application on August 8th. I also followed tips from your other videos. My lawn rebounded nicely. I've also used your videos to create my own year round lawn care plan . Thank you!
Thank you no camera tricks lol check out the part 2 video after I applied the ironite. Thank you once again for your support. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8Q1-OLXcduE.html
Lawn looks perfect! I love using iron too. This is a great tip that a lot of average joe homeowners don’t know. It took me 15 years of homeownership to figure it out 😂 Keep the vids coming, really like watching your results.
❤ I gave you a thumbs up. I appreciate the information! I'm LMOA at the "late 80's mid 90's". I appreciate you Sir, I'm in most of the lawn care forums and subscribe to a few RU-vid channels. I'm watching your's because I'm an old dude that loves my lawn. Thank you for the information and I am not being a butt. I appreciate everything that I find that makes me more successful. Great lawn you have. I'm on my 2nd full Reno and now have 100% Mazama KBG. Looking good but looking for better. I'm in Michigan and the heat is trying to put a damper on my parade, thanks for helping steer me out of this.
Thanks for going in depth with the ironite you explained in the first video but it didn’t green up how i wanted but i know for a fact i missed a few steps and you’re DEFINITELY dominating your neighbors come through with the stripes in the yard!! Looking good King 👑 #tunedin
First off really nice lawn! I've used Ironite for years on my KBG with great results. It's gotten expensive the last couple years. Last fall I found a Walmart thirty miles away that was closing it out for the season. They had half a pallet they quoted me $2.20 a 15lb bag if I took it all. Because of the weight it took me three trips with my car. My wife usually complains when I buy more than I need just to save money. She didn't complain this time as I used some of the savings to take her out to her favorite restaurant that happens to be in that town. I'm old and will have to live long enough to use up all that Ironite. Keep up the great work on your lawn.
I feel you on having a quality seed. I’m still on my sod that we layed last summer, this fall gonna do my first over seed. My lawn not poppin like it should. Thx you for the knowledge
Reading. It's fundamental. Gotta read the instructions, peoples. Your lawn looks amazing, man! I just threw this product down in my yard 1 day ago. Excited to see the results!
As usual, your lawn is beautiful! I have considered using Ironite a number of times in the past, but I was concerned about staining my driveway and sidewalk. I was happy to hear you say that Ironite does not stain. Perhaps, I will finely give it a try. Thanks for the helpful videos!
I use this product here in Texas where it get pretty hot in the summer, this product works well in summer, not a whole lot of watering need but, in the summer I let the lawn grow a little higher to show that top half greenness during these hot months. Love the video and your lawn looks awesome.. thanks
Looks good bro…it all about how you take care of your lawn…most people don’t have the time or just did take it…to make your lawn green….I enjoy doing my lawn…I learn off others…I like to try all different ones…ironite and milorganite…great products..
Yo man! How are ya? Lawn looking fab! My yard is now a lawn, thanks to you. I need to drop Ironite down again. I did it about 6 weeks or so ago & it made the weeds glow in the dark! Anyway, I used Spectricide to kill my crab grass & weeds, so, now I want to see it make the grass pop! My bad for not commenting sooner, you have had me super busy. BTW Thank you for the fungus tip...I think I have it in some spots, so imma gonna nuke my LAWN with fungus killer! Peace out!
Everything is good thanks for you asking I'm glad you're see results. Gotta put in the pain to see the results 😂. But its all worth it. Thank you for your support
Your lawn is going to turn black soon that it's so dark 😂 Looks good! I can't wait until I have a lawn again.. I'm in the middle of a lawn reno and killed everything off (ugly clumping fescue). I'll be seeding with KBG (midnight, bluebank, and mazama).. I'm hoping it will have a great color!
Hey, man! Quick question - have you done a soil analysis with your local extension? I would be really interested in knowing the before and after (as in, when you started this some three years ago vs today).
Have you tried the double dark product? You have great success with ironite....I just put some down and had a good couple soaking rains.... Sometimes I wonder if to use the liquid ironite.....you made a good point on the type of grass bc maybe I have certain type of grass mixed in that won't get that dark.....Great lawn...
No I've never tried double dark product Maybe I will in the future. Liquid ironite is pretty good also but the granular will get your grass darker green due to the higher iron content. Thank you for your support
Hello, great videos. I live in the Northern area, and have watch so many videos of getting your yard to where you want. Your videos are excellent for the female DYI homeowners. I will try this on my lawn to give it that jolt it needs. Does the ironite hose attachment work the same? BTW your lawn is peace time book ready.
Thank you I truly appreciate your support. The hose attachment ironite works good but its slightly different it has alittle more nitrogen and its lower on iron. So it won't get as dark green as the granular formula but it would give a nice little green pop quicker because its liquid. I've used both and been satisfied with the results but the granular
Some very good pointers here. I have used Ironite with mixed results, perhaps not reading and following the instructions as thoroughly as BYD instructs. Question: do you know if the soils ph level needs to be within a certain range to enhance absorption of Ironite from the soil by the grass?
Darryl, can I use this as my fertilizer since I have a few dry patches? Also, it's over 90 degrees can I use this? Thanks....BTW you should see my flowers I've planted... it's very tropical look..
Great video bro. I have Bermuda and was going to use this to help out the stress spots in my lawn. Temps here are 100+. Have you ever used the liquid ironite?
@@LawnAmateur thanks for that response. I noticed you said not to use it around 14-15 days after fertilization. Would you still recommend that for Bermuda?
I used to use Milorganite years ago but stopped when users were getting sick from the high amount of heavy metals in Milorganite. They stopped making it for a while.
Looks incredible!!! Great work! How much Ironite did you put down? One bag covers 5000 sq ft. I am thinking of applying 10,000 sq ft on my 3500 sq ft lawn.
Thank you. I only put down enough to cover up to 1,000 sq. You don't want to over apply the product because it can possibly turn the lawn a blackish color and kill the lawn. So be careful
🔥🔥. Amazing Color, when using the liquid version, should I wet my lawn before using liquid Irionite, and do I need to use a surfactant to have product stick to lawn, how long does a Irionite application last, before needing another application??
@@LawnAmateur thanks so much, so I will do a regular watering session for 15 minutes for each of my 3 zones, than go right into my liquid application of Irionite right after, thanks..,
can you fertilize with say a mix of all the NPK just for the sake of healthy lawn, then soon after just throw down heavy iron fertilizer just for the color?
How often do you put ironite down ? The instructions say 4 times a year or ever 3 months, but I see the deep green begin to fade after about 6 weeks or so.
Yea thats about right. I use it about 2x a year myself in between my regular fertilizer plan so the green tend to last a little longer. Make sure you're watering properly also
Hi how are you, I have couple questions. I live in chicago and my lawn in my front yard is turning yellow and I want to make it green can I apply ironite if the tempeture are between 80 and 90 degrees? I water my lawn yesterday, do you recommend water after applying ironite? What kind of fungicide do you use? Thanks
Depending on what is causing your grass to turn yellow it could be multiple different things. But if its a light feeding of nitrogen you need then yes ironite will work. And yes its ok to apply in 80 or 90 degrees just make sure to apply early morning or evening when the sun starts to go down. Yes also water lawn 1 or 2 days before applying and water after applying product. We haven't had much rain this season and my grass has a lot of brown spots. So far I've put down milogranite, fungicide and grub preventer. I just put down ironite. We will see what happens I also ordered ym double dark after doing a soil test that's what they recommended. I will put that's down in a few weeks I guess?
Yea the most important thing right now for your lawn is water especially when its dry and hot. I've never used that YM double dark but I'm kind of curious about it I may look into it in the future.
@@LawnAmateur I've been watering it twice weekly when we don't get rain. My watering process is inefficient since I don't have an irrigation system and my lawn is large. Takes about 2 hours to get the entire yard watered. I've used the YM summer stress and was impressed. I will keep an eye out as usual for your content. Happy Juneteenth sir.
ok was wondering if i spreaded to much. its so many different spreaders wit different setting. I have a sta brocast spreader thats comparable to the edge I believe, and the product doesnt have a setting for it. So I jus guessed.
May I add your Lawn should be properly areated to have Ironite soak to the roots. I have also "Doubled" the application amounts for the deepest green ever..!!
