Dark Harbour is the project of the young Berliner Edwin Oberender.
His first EP »Here by the Sea« was recorded with members of the group Isolation Berlin who were also responsible for the arrangements of the demos which were originally in most parts composed and recorded on a single piano.
»Here by the Sea« tells of the ambivalent relationship of a young man to the sea, which was created by a traumatic experience, a car accident. This misfortune is described in the first song »Demons«.
The other songs address the protagonist's experiences and emotional states, which are always related to his involuntary affinity for the sea - he commits to the navy, we learn about his life as a soldier on the high seas and about his death in the depths and how the sea ultimately leads him back to the coast of his homeland.
The recording of the EP was supported by Musicboard Berlin.
This video was directed by Thomas Kuhn.
