How did he manage to bury so many bodies in such a small space? This is a haunting reminder of the city's grim past. As London's population swelled during the 19th century, overcrowded cemeteries were commonplace, and Enon Chapel, like many other private burial spaces, resorted to using its limited space for mass burials.
