Agree! The more “professional” any of these beauty YT’s get the less I watch them. I know that’s probably their goal because it’s their career, but I am just less interested.

I 100% don’t understand the hate in this video. This is her job. She’s proud of the things she’s created with Morphe and she believes in them. If you don’t like them, don’t buy them. Just enjoy the video for what it is, a damn makeup tutorial.
I dont care for the white background personally but maybe that's just me! I much prefer a real background. I'd love to see your beauty room in the background, even if its messy or whatever. It just makes it feel like you're a friend getting ready, you know? It's much more personal! Idk maybe I'm just weird 😂
I will be returning my Vault Collection. Mattes and shimmers were so tough to work with. I wish Jaclyn would address it. I will not buy her brush set. This whole situation feels sooo shady.
I just bought I at mope Thursday and after watching this I am returning I. I was going to follow this as my first use but I didn’t even bother opening it. What a waste. Her quality and channel have crashed and burned.
I never usually make comments like this...but I CANNOT understand why people are being so negative. She is using her palette because people asked for it. She is using her brushes to demonstrate how to use them. OBVIOUSLY she is going to use the products that she formulated because wouldn’t you??? I can say that the original Jaclyn Hill palette is UNBELIEVABLE and I bet that the new palettes are of the same quality. As a consumer it’s GOOD to see people using products so you know what you’re buying. Also, in case you didn’t know; if you don’t want the product - you don’t have to buy it! 😮 and if you don’t like Jaclyn - you don’t have to watch her videos! 😮 Seriously, everybody needs to calm tf down. Btw I’m not even subscribed to Jaclyn but I have both her original morphe palette and her becca highlighter and they are two of my ride or die products as a run of the day consumer. I’d love to buy some of these brushes if not the full set because they look amazing and morphe brushes are my favourite. Im also going to subscribe because I loved this tutorial and ive been non stop watching her videos tonight!! Everybody needs to stop being so negative and critiquing every tiny thing. Sarah Duffy I agree. She’s worked so hard on creating her products and she can’t please everyone. Creating palettes and makeup or anything at all is a very hard and lengthy process. I don’t always watch her but when I do I love her. I’ve been following her more lately because I do really like her and her make up. I only have one of her palettes. The one she’s using.
Jaclyn, I want to give you constructive feedback. I bought the vault and the shadows are not up to the quality you spoke about in your videos. Many shades seem pressed too hard, they won’t show unless you use your finger. Many mattes are patchy and hard to blend. Yesterday I created a look with kaki and gold and the kaki disappeared so fast on the outer edge, I was left with a washed out eye look. I am so sorry but it is disappointing for me... I had saved my money and waited impatiently for the release and I don’t think it’s up to your (and my) expectations. I hope you will manage to control the production better if you release other products
My palette is absolutely fabulous ! I created a look from the Ring the Alarm palette last night before work... after 12 hours my eye shadow still looked as fabulous as when I put it on! Idk why so many people are saying they are having issues with your palettes because I think they’re incredible!
Totally agree, but she cant. Most of the shadows are patchy and shitty. She literally told someone to scrape the top layer of their shadow off.🙄 Magically 80% of the vault tutorials done by people are not coming out good, yet she makes it seem perfect.
I think this is a great idea! And I did get the Vault. I ordered it as soon as it launched only because I was so excited to use these 4 different palettes with such pretty colors. I don’t look at it as I need to “support “ ANYBODY. And none of mine have a V2 on them....but guess what ..I just finished testing out the final palette on Saturday (Dark Magic) and they’re all good. 🤣 Thank you GWAD.

So tired of hearing people make excuses for the poor quality of these palettes because "they're only $15." Excuse me, I can go get a Wet & Wild palette for $4.99 that is pigmented and blends like a dream. Price is NOT an excuse for poor quality.
I know what people mean when they say they feel like she’s pushing her products or morphe, but the fact is, she’s become successful in her field and is creating new things! I personally prefer the homely background, as someone who watches RU-vid to learn as I relax who also has M.E the bright white almost hurts to watch. Also I find it much more relaxed and genuine in a home background and can focus on the content without having to look away from my screen due to brightness. I loveeee this eye look though it’s stunningg and your lil fur babies are too sweet x
You can tell the first eyeshadow didn’t blend smoothly AT ALL. You can see a harsh line right in her crease and it doesn’t look well blended at all. It looks way worse when she puts the second shadow on. I don’t know why she wants to keep making us believe her eyeshadow palettes are the best quality when they really aren’t and you don’t have to be a makeup artist to know these kind of things without even trying them on yourself.
I bought this palette because it was the only one I was excited about since I don't have many green shades and I love green for fall time. And yes you're right. The first shade she applied did apply patchy it applies the same way to my eye which is how I know the formulation was all wrong. I'm speculating if morphe even fixed the batches or still just released them. A few shades in the dark magic apply very dry and patchy.

I’ll have to check out your other vids but I loved this tutorial and this look. I think it’s stunningly beautiful. I already used some Morphe products before I ever knew who you are. Email them swatches of them! I emailed them multiples times and got no reply but once I sent pictures of how crappy they looked I got an immediate response and refund!

@@Tabitharoman96 most people save up for weeks to buy makeup. So you're suggesting they spend money on a product they need to essentially scratch in order for it to perform well. I get she also suggested the person to ask for a refund, but the product was ridiculous and it was a waste of money not only for those who bought it, but the company that sold it as they will have to bear losses, not only financially but also at the cost of their reputation. It should simply have not been released and she should own up to it.
Okay so I’m starting to think they eye shadows were never re-pressed . They probably stalled the launch because they had to deal with the Becca issue . There’s no blend ability in these shadows YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE THAT IN THIS VIDEO ,! It’s very upsetting .

I’m all for constructive criticism but there are so many women on here bashing her that it blows my mind. This is her collection she is a self made entrepreneur and she is proud of her product and sadly all people can do is bash her! I see comments in here from smaller channels trying to gain subscribers by bashing her further and telling her to be “authentic”. Listen she is allowed to grow up. She is allowed to promote what she wants to promote! She is still teaching you technique even with her own products. I can’t wait to see her do favorites and other looks but whatever content she puts out is always great quality.
I thought about getting her palettes until I heard the reviews. I'll just spend the extra $6-$8 and buy a Morphe full-sized palette instead. NYX also has high quality products for drugstore price. They've become my favorite in my makeup bin.

I feel like since you used the brushes from your new collection you should have done your foundation, concealer, and powder on camera as well to show the brushes being used. But that’s just my opinion. I love watching the foundation, concealer and powder process. I’d love to see a video with you using the brushes from start to finish! But overall I love the look you created with the palette, I don’t really see most beauty influencers do looks like this, I love when they do looks they normally wouldn’t do. You’re beautiful as always! 💖💖

Exactly. I clicked on the video just because I thought I’d be able to see how she uses the base face brushes as I’m not much of an eyeshadow/powder wearer but this was quite disappointing as the brushes are launching soon so we won’t even be able to see them in action before buying
gosh, i used to love jaclyn. ride or die, every video, i was here. but she is changing BIG time. i know no one is perfect, but damn girl, stop with the controversies, and go back to uploading cuz you love makeup, not cuz you're trying to sell a new product. i miss the way the beauty community used to be. we were here because we shared a passion for makeup, applications, artistry. @RawBeautyKristi said it best...it's not a community anymore. it's an industry. 😖
First off I am a huge fan. But.. You tell us to respect each other. Which we do. But where is our respect? You don’t even respect us enough to let us speak our minds. Which we do (CONSTRUCTIVELY) and then we can’t even look through the comments for other people’s opinions on your product because you delete anything that you do not like. You say constructive criticism is welcome.. but then delete other people’s comments just because they say they wish the shadows were more pigmented or because they said they were a little patchy. Yes you control your channel and it is your channel. But it doesn’t make it right to delete your subscribers comments just because they said your shadows don’t blend. These people pay your bills the least you can do is give them the respect they deserve as your subscribers and let them speak their minds.. 😌ah ok. I feel better now but I’m probably going to get canceled by JH 😑

Firstly, I get where you're coming from and respect your opinion, but, it is very entitled to say things like we pay your bills. While yes, people buying her products makes her money, but her working her butt off is why she's come so far. Also, so many people are just plain being nasty and causing drama, not constructively giving criticism. And I have seen a ton of comments with people simply saying they didn't like the collection, so I think if she's deleting comments, it's only the ones where people are just being bitchs. Nothing wrong with that. But I have seen more negative than good comments so she's clearly not deleting too many.
This is so true. If a big brand came out with a crappy product and then said "scrape off the top with your nail" I would never buy a products from them again. We saw her review on Kylie's collab with her mom and she literally went and created something equally as bad.

Seeing how successful she has been has really inspired me as an artist and given me hope that my dreams can come true as well. I think everyone wants that dream. But I do agree with most of these comments about her recent content. I really don’t want this too come off as rude or mean, but I think she is trying to figure out who she is as “Jaclyn” after her divorce.... difficult things like that really do change people. I’ve watched my mother do a 180 change since her divorce. I think it’s fair to give people the chance to try new things, but like everyone else is saying, it’s not cool to just lose your passion for makeup to fill that space with money. People will eventually see behind the bs. Again, I really do love Jaclyn and I wish her the best... thanks Jac for all of the inspiration.
Your channel has just turned into a giant ad for morphe. I used to love your videos and pretty much learned how to do makeup from them but lately you’ve just been so different. There are only so many non problematic beauty gurus left please don’t become one of the bad ones

Your first palette was amazing. Your second palettes are terrible. In these videos, they didn’t perform well. You keep cutting in between the blending. Damage control please. The issues of the palettes weren’t fixed.
I don't understand... She has just released a collection with a company. So cool she had this opportunity. So obviously she is proud, and try to explain how to use it on her channel. Tbh I like beauty room backdrops, but sometimes a clean backdrop is nice! Also, I would love to see you venture off and try new products after your done with your collection videos and stuff! Maybe a first impressions drugstore fall look since fall is coming!
I wish you put more thought into this palette. I know maybe you wanted to create this type of color story but you kept saying "I wish I had a brown to put into the crease" or "a gold to put in the middle of the lid" if you felt like that those were the type of eyelooks you wanted to create with this type of color scheme, since you had creative control they could've been there.
Duygu Cinar I think it’s because one of the very few shades that are good in the entire selection are Coin (the gold in armed and gorgeous)..I thought that the silver in the dark shadows palette would’ve looked a,a zing over the deep forest green shade she used on her eye lid...but she didn’t even try it, like that’s one of the shades you could use and it’s a shimmer, or what about the black matte she would pay thirty dollar for, she could’ve deepened her outside corners of her eyes with it..I guess I was just hoping she would use more than three shades from the palette, well and the matte white dusty color, but no hate it’s her tutorial she looked beautiful I just wanted to see how these shadows that I also have, performed,ed on her eyes and how she applied them. But I guess I just need to be that full for the upload?

ssnellz right!! Then the 3 to 4 shades that I liked weren’t enough for me to even consider keeping it. You literally have to stay there blending to no end. Even in this vid it really doesn’t show how hard these shadows are to work with.
Honestly, knowing Jaclyn's history with videos, the "blurring" while she is blending and the jump cuts don't bother me any. She's made no secret over the years that she isn't super tech savvy, especially with editing, and frequently has issues with setting up her camera so the focus is consistent; IMHO, it definitely seems to me like the times where the video blurs slightly it's the camera refocusing on her hand/brush and not her face. You can't control autofocus people, that's the point of it being AUTO. I don't have the money for her/morphe products so truly haven't tried a one, but will ALWAYS support her 100%!
I bought this palette at Ulta and it doesn't perform anything like in this video. Same with the swatches in previous videos. I think the concept of the palette is SO beautiful, but mine is so patchy and the pigmentation just isn't there. Were you ever able to figure out if there was some kind of mix up? I truly mean no negativity. I just want to get my hands on a workable version of this palette. I have your other larger palette from Morphe and I absolutely love it
I absolutely love the original palette, and could not wait for the vault, but you're right.. most of the shades are so patchy and do not blend well at all. It is very sad, especially because a lot of people (myself included) waited & waited, then waited in line on the site just to order it and it's not really even worth it. It's definitely a love hate relationship with the vault. Very sad.

Natalie Lopez I saw some of it and I disagree with her. If we can pay models for being pretty and thin. Even one who did an advert washing her hair and pay her 1 million for that. 1 million for a hair washing advert which didn’t even last 5 minutes. We shouldn’t say anything and beauty gurus deserve to be paid. It’s their job. (Sorry for the rant, that’s how I feel.)
Autumn clarke youtubers are paid by adsense. They shouldn't be only promoting/mentioning products they are paid tens of thousands of dollars for. Especially since most of them aren't disclosing (which is illegal.) If you can't sit on camera and recommend a good product to your audience because you aren't being paid to do so, you aren't worth watching in my opinion. She use to upload drug store favorites and dupes, but now it's just an obvious infomercial for products from companies she is in business with.
Jaclyn, I love your original Morphe palette but the vault collection is lackluster... I purchased bling boss and dark magic. Bling boss is pretty good, but my dark magic palette is so patchy and blends into nothing or not at all. The color pay off is is pretty bad... I know the palettes were very affordable, but they were hyped up to be way better than they were...
Agree! I'm glad I didn't purchase the whole vault because I was underwhelmed with my dark magic palette as well which sucks cause I saved my money and I love the colors so much
I have issues with bling boss, none with ring the alarm or dark magic. :/ I am also not a professional but I am not novice either. Either way, I am glad I have them for my collection. I am going to buy Armed and Gorgeous once it is back in stock too, but I doubt I will try to use it after the reviews.
I have problems with almost all the matts... and what is most sad, is that I e-mailed Morphe and all I get is "sorry" and no help to exchange the collection. I really tried hard for these shadows to work....

They don’t blend at all that’s why she just essentially packs color all over the lid and blends out the edge and does a super smoked out bottom lash line

P La yeah I’ve watched her since I was a young girl and always trusted her opinion on anything. I never bought her Becca collection because of all the drama surrounding it but I figured it was just a mistake live and learn. But she has had just about drama every time with every single thing she releases. I gave her the benefit of the doubt but I was wrong .
Custard Donuts she did. There were comments addressing the quality of the product she deleted them. Comments asking her why she’s deleting she also deleted those.
All the people complaining that she skips through her steps.... um. She’s always done that? Seriously. She shows where she is blending or applying product and then skips to the next step in almost every single tutorial she has ever posted. People are so quick to pick at this woman its astounding. Everyone just wants some kind of drama, it’s honestly exhausting.
I got a new editor about 2-3 months ago. But yes, this is how ive always edited my videos. I show a few seconds of each step & move on. I never have awkward silence in my video.
Did anyone else have a hard time blending out BUSTED? I'm in no means trying to be negative, but it did not blend out at all for me. I was trying to put it in my crease. I primed my eyes and set it with POOF and it would not blend out. I was using a Sigma E40 brush...
Angela Jones Beauty all of my palettes perform ok like not terrible but definitely not like her first palette. And BUSTED IS BUSTED!! It even felt grainy, and none of the other mattes felt like that. I ordered the Vault off of the morphe website.

Watching you use this palette and make comments like “in a perfect world I’d use this color” or “ this is what I’d use but the palette doesn’t have it” REALLY makes me wonder how much input you actually had in creating these vault collections. I don’t understand why you’d put something out that even YOU can’t complete a full look without pulling from other palettes.

She said it herself that she wished there was an orange to blend the crease, a beautiful gold to pop on the lid, and a true white highlight shade for the inner corner. My question is, why didn’t she create this palette with those things in it, to stand ALONE with everything it needs to create an amazing look? Seems like that would be part of the creative process...
k... you're being narrow minded.. if you know jac youd know she uses a white for every single look she does in the inner corner... she created the whole vault collection to have EVERYTHING you need. she has all those colours in her vault collection. if she wanted to use only one palette for every look she'd have to put the same white in every single palette.. that ain't realistic.. thats why she made 4 small palettes to include all of her visions

I honestly don’t like the vault pallet it was very patchy for me and there was not many light colors and the brushes look so basic and the hair on the brush is so thin it does not pick up product
this video is so overexposed that the palette just disappeared into the white background. either forget the white backdrop or properly light the video to make everything show properly because everything looks blurry
How come she cuts the vid between 7:16 and 7:18 and doesn’t even show us how she went from that unblended mess to a much more blended edge. Like these are the key teaching points she could’ve shown us but instead she cuts It out making it look shady af
Is it me or does her face look blurry, I’m running it on 1080p iPhone X, but it’s like there’s a film on her face like it’s edited on or something, like when she’s putting on the shadow it just looks blurrry like you can’t really see what she’s doing for instance if you look at her dog all the detail is there but when it focuses back on her face the detail disappears and it’s like a literal film
I bought my palettes at morphe.com and they are useless. I wasted my money! I try to still use them but only when I do, people my friends point out my eye makeup look patchy.... not a compliment. I bought the vault to use for my best friends wedding and I used the bling palette and in pictures you can see how patchy is was 😭😭😭😭 I want to return these because like I said they are useless... I have drugstore palettes that preform way better. I expected more from Jaclyn honestly. It’s just disappointing so I am skipping out on the brushes bc I can’t trust the quality and Morphe as a company doesn’t care about their consumers anymore.
I'm in the same boat. I didnt buy to do for wedding makeup. I cant even imagine how disappointing that is for you. I wish she would stop with all this non sense
