Apple are too smart, this was next level thinking from them. I have to say I'm seriously impressed lmao. They decided to allow emulators because they knew it would cripple Altstore. Also not allowing jailbreaks and modded apps stops iOS from becoming an insecure OS like Android.
@@user-ih6oe9ny3j That's not a good argument. You can make "modded apps" opt-in so everyone that is aware of the security risks can take them. Those that have no use-case for them simply leave it disabled and keep the security.
@@user-ih6oe9ny3j this is like Microsoft putting dev mode in Xbox in order devs not to make exploits/jailbreaks for it because the excuse they always make is for that is for security research and development also homebrew apps but we all freaking know its for piracy I love Apple devices their products are amazing but this shit is ridiculous especially lmao especially the right to repair thing they are holding back their products 100% Apple and Microsoft are both playing 4D chess here.

I totally agree with this, I was shocked when I found out altstore pal wouldnt let you sideload ipa's yourself. Apple remains a company I continue to hate. They make good phones but then restricts the phones to do a lot of things
That is not AltAtores fault though, however I think it is shady though to charge 1,50€ AND then make people pledge on Patreon to be able to install the only other app that is available on AltStore PAL.
@@gangbangingtec I don’t pay a cent to google and I haven’t seen any ads on RU-vid in a long time. I currently only watch RU-vid in the app on my iPad. Enlighten yourself, Einstein.
@@toshibe2805 well I watch it on my tv as well so I don’t mind paying premium especially with a student discount & also enjoy doing my part helping out creators that work so hard to make videos that entertain us , but u do u my friend
Few points. EU did not decide on the garbage fees, it was apples doing and it is still possible EU will demand changes to those. While emulators are a big draw for side loading it's not the only use case, tablets and even phones are quite well suited for playing/reading visual novels but because many good visual novels are 18+ they are not allowed on the app store, sideloading allows those too.
Apple does it as a campaign. It’s purposefully bad. They did all they could not to comply with the regulations. And now they have to make it as bad as possible, allowing emulators was a brilliant move on their part. They somehow levelled the field and will either win the monopoly as a marketplace or will lose big time.
This is exactly what I am saying. Though I don’t think the EU is directly responsible for it. I’m sure they didn’t except this solution by Apple or this solution by AltStore.
I feel Apple’s decision to add emulators to the AppStore was partly to cause a situation like this. I disagree that AltStore PAL shouldn’t exist. Apple shouldn’t be able to demand fees from a third party store in the first place which is the reason it has a cost attached to it. Third party stores have potential that is being deliberately sabotaged by Apple and their malicious compliance.
Nah the issue is apple. I see what youre trying to say. But the ones with malicious intend are not the eu but apple. I really hope they never become the hellhole the us is.
Misinfo? Clip wasn’t allowed on Apple app stores and pretty sure the full version of Delta wasn’t either. I don’t think Apple has to allow the apps for them to be on the altstore ACTUALLY.
His frustrations are warranted. The digital markets act is till a step in the right direction, but practically apple complied in the most malicious way possible.
I paid the 1,50€ to see the development within the year, I cancelled the subscription already though so I'm not paying for a second year. Thankfully I also have an US AppStore account.
This is why Apple needs to receive the mother of fines soon from EU. It’s not fine to charge money per download. I don’t want to use their crappy ad and casino riddled appstore.
Yeah, it’s a daft idea side loading. Security hole for android that gets to others through the address book, lack of monitoring for future updates taking more data, the kind of thing that puts me off side loading in my android devices. I want the choice - secure and less secure. And it’s bad enough when you have to remember which App Store you’ve downloaded from. Anonymous bureaucratic straight jacketing should focus on mandating 5 years of OS and security updates and actually help consumers and reduce waste.
Y’all thought you got one over on Apple. You didn’t. It isn’t fair but when huge governments try and dictate how huge business operates, this is what can happen.
Yeah, it’s kinda stupid people thought Apple would just turn ios into android and not do everything they can to bullshit their way out. That and the EU being incompetent as they always are.
How is this legal? It's time for EU to start charging fines based on percentage. 10-20% of apple's total yearly profit per fine. Then they won't pull this bs.
imagine how poor you have to be if you cannot give 50cent for an emulator :D. Delta in EU is something else. First if Apple for some reason removes it in the US , then in EU we will still have it. Other thing is that if he gets 1 euro to download it , then this 3rd party market place will be considered profitable , then more apps will come and more developers . I am sure that AltStore can even host Epic Games. Epic will give their game without paying , Alt store will win money , user will win having access to more games and application.
That’s crazy. So the fault isn’t exactly Apple and Apple alone, but Apple and the EU. That is insane. You have apps now that are being restricted both by Apple and the EU because it meant trying to make a PAL version of exactly the same apps and the content in the apps manually to give everyone the exact experience legally in PAL to work similar to how NTSC users have it. But that would mean that Apple needs the M4 chips to be the last chips and all up until 2030 for all apps to 100% function both in NTSC and in PAL. It would mean that programmers both NTSC and PAL have to work in 3rd party to get 3rd party apps to work in Apple Store on both NTSC and PAL. This means that even average people like you and I have to work with the codes behind iOS and MacOS to get every feature within every app to work with NTSC and PAL Apple products. And we have until 2030 for all apps certified by Apple to work in NTSC and PAL Apple products before quantum computing takes over.
The eu was a joke on side load because places was wanting to side load like fortnight wanted to get away from the Apple fees on in app purchase so Apple wins on getting extra money from side loading so it didn’t fix anything but made it worse.
New uodate thos rules is removed 1- if an app in not monetized you dont have to pay single penny to apple this for students who wants to try out their app on any app store wether ots alt/native 2- developrts earning less then 10 milion need not pay apple up to 3 years after 3 years they will have to pay 0.5 cents per fownload once they hit a million dollar
*I would UNSUBSCRIBE if I had ever seen this channel before today and had subscribed before. How much were paid by Apple to post that slanderous video???*
