I am in Canada currently and you are absolutely right.

I do not think the explaination given you depicts the picture completely. My experience has been a little contradictory. I am not in germany to earn in crores I just want a simple respectable life. I am a mechanical engineer who was earning 16000 per month in India (not to mention I started with 12000 before that I was laid off by Mahindra, after starting as a fresher, because the plant was in loss and they were doing cost cutting) despite having good marks and all the skills required to be a very good mechanical engineer professional. But the situation of mechanical engineers is the worst in india. Thought of doing Post graduation by clearing GATE but due to reservation I was not able get good college since I belong to General category. I was completely depressed in India. I took a loan of 15 lakh at the rate of 12% from HDFC Credilla and moved to Germany for Masters. Now 4 years later I am living in Germany with decent job and sending 50000 every month as remittance and will clear by loan by this month. Even if Germany is not my home but it helped me recover from my mental trauma. I have a lot of respect for the institutions here. And I know 100s of people who have the same experience. I know future looks a little dicey right now but for now I am greatful for my journey.

I am doing my PhD in Norway, planning to return next year after finishing. Go and study abroad as it's a great opportunity if you can but opportunities in India are a lot!

Basically india 🇮🇳 is not for beginners, if you have money then only you can survive in india after doing 20hr job every day(savings are not imagined) but in western countries if you work only 10hr per day only 5days week, then you can easily manage expenses, car (bmw, Benz etc) and even save enough money 😂, in India you can live this lifestyle after even working 80hr week

Returned from Australia permeantly on this Monday 29th April. Its difficult to get proper job and survive in Australia.

I failed in IIT and GATE both. So I came to US for masters in 2016. Before master my package was 3.5 lac per annum in India. At my current package in USA I am saving 30 lac per annum. Yes, I do feel lonely in USA. Every place has pro and cons. After few years I plan to return to India but I do not regret coming to USA. Few years back situation was better, in USA current masters students are struggling more to get jobs. I think this is worldwide situation. After few years US situation might become better again.

Every word in this lecture was true. If any student is planning to invest in Europe please avoid except nature beauty and pure air nothing is free. Today INDIA is the best place to be with more opportunities and affordable. If any one who is bored from Indian lifestyle and want a change please go for it I vouch that you will again start respecting India as a country. We are in mid of huge transition from developing to develop nation. Require lot of infrastructure so pollution will be there but sure in coming years our kids will be a part of greatest civilization humanity ever witnessed mark my words. Avoid your hard earn money or loan to for abroad studies not worth it in present scenario. This are capitalist countries they are mean and selfish. Not like India.

I am in Australia now and you are right. This is exactly what happens with specially Indian students and Indian immigrants.

8 years back when I graduated, I was predicting this thing because everyone from my college was applying outside, but never thought of this we might see these issues in just 5-6 years, the main issue is western world are not economically growing like in last decade but India is comparatively growing at much faster pace. Even if, someone settle abroad and want to invest in India for his family than that also he can't because India is also getting costlier with each day.

Very true, I have been living in London for the last 2 years, currently i am living in 3 BHK and it cost me almost 3000 Gbp rent plus approx 500 Gbp bills. After paying almost 20% net tax and 10 to 15% indirect taxes, life is not up to the mark. Healthcare is pathetic and so is the security. I have found many students who haven't found jobs for the last 4 to 5 months. It's very challenging and PPP in india is far better compared to the UK. If we all pay 1000 gbp tax in india, india will be far better than the UK. Whatever you earn you have to pay the government by taxes. Because of indians their government is making money. And be prepared for racism.

i am engineer living in germany. Being engineer i got every month offers from new new companies so for tech field Germany always welcome 😊 Germany work life balance is nowhere in world 😮30 Days casual leaves , sick leaves separate as required and only 35 hours per week

Strongly disagree... There is no point in staying somewhere... where my job doesn't get the respect it deserves. Being a research scholar.. I had to leave India. I have been staying in Italy since 2017. I am happy. At least here in Italy, I'm paying tax in proportion to what this country is providing. Keep your quota, religion, unemployment and politics with you.

India needs serious population control now. Otherwise things will also become worse in coming years. Just because things are bad outside doesn't mean India is doing very well. We've got our own problems.

I m live with my family in 2 bhk - master bedroom 14x16. Rent is 5k. Near Ahmedabad. No furniture. So purchase parity is very good. My family members 5. 1k per person per month is very good. 👍

I live in Germany and yes it depends on your skill but mostly on German Language for jobs. And yes people are not accepting because for them you are a competitor here and why will they when you are coming from a country whose impact on world is negligence. If you are from county whose impact on world is more than surely they will respect you.

I'm living in Europe since last 4 months. It's pretty good here. You travel to a lot of countries, get to know a lot of different cultures... But dheere dheere maja aana khatm ho jaata hai. Bht hi boring ho jaata hai jindagi, yha jyda tr logo ko English bolna nh aata so there's a very big communication gap. Koi festival enjoy nh kr skte. I was pretty much doing nothing during Holi. Aap paisa kama skte ho but akele kha hi kharch kr doge. But at the end it's all about personal choice. Main to bs ab wapas aane ka wait kr rha 😂 😂

I can comment on this since I've studied for my Masters in the US , albeit back in 2006 to 2008 ; trust me, even then, there were job issues in US, not because recession that time, but not all employers are willing to hire foreign students as they need a visa to work eventually; yes, also to get a job and sponsor for H1B, one has to be in STEM field, this is since decades; not saying that non STEM people don't get, bit numbers are like negligible as locals are available easily

The government of india need to being skilled indians from abroad to india in education sector, refine the professional standards in education, improve the classrooms in india, train teachers before hiring them in universities to teach. Our indian education needs upgrading, it will then change the dynamics.

In todays age you can gain skils from anywhere..... I have met with some people who did only 12th and while doing basic labour jobs did it courses and got jobs in it sector and earning around 80000 to 1 lakh per month... if you want to enter tech sector you need to aquire skill related to tech and you can get job in india anywhere... edit: you can learn all type of tech skills from enternet, you dont need to go to other countries to learn....

I have seen so many Indian especially, Punjabi whose study skills were not good but they have learnt a skill like welding, carpentry and painting are making around 1500 to 2000 a week. They would have never be abled to earn that much in India. I have known who is hairdresser, earning around 50 dollar an hour . I am talking about Australia. I understand it is now tough but when you compare it with India certainly you can make good money while doing a skilled job. I just want to clear that I am not talking about business or exceptions but a norm

Dear friend you are absolutely right,it's very hard to settle in any foreign countries,like Canada, America, Russia, even Australia.Highly educated people are not getting jobs but if you are ITI from India still you can get the job. Going to overseas as a student is not good now. One years degree fee in Australia is about $40 thousands plus house rent, bills living expenses. About $60 thousand Australian dollars but you can't earn more then 30000 Australian dollars in a year, as you as a student allowed to work only 20 hrs.daily. My submission to the students is don't take risk to go to any such countries. A well wisher from Australia

Yes there is recession. Yes the job loss is real but if you can survive for 1-2 years and as the interest rates go down things will change. This is not permanent

If you take decision to go abroad, looking only at such few cases as mentioned below, you are to be pitied. Don't forget, it is very easy to get laid off here at a day's notice (though not necessarily a day's notice) even after ten, fifteen years of job in the same company, and also it doesn't matter if you are the CEO of the company (all are equal here as far as this situation is concerned) and then not finding other job for days, weeks and months. This is not to discourage Indians. This is to tell the truth, the reality here which most of the non-resident Indians don't tell back at home. They must show in India that their decision was right - a show-off. But now a number of new-comer Indians are going back to India because their dreams are shattered. It is not their fault. It is just that the times have changed and so has the world politics. It is always better to be wise and smart than hasty and boastful. The situation in India is improving nowadays. Don't underestimate India, don't degrade our country. It is still better for the youth to manage in the Indian society where they have support. If you are ready to work hard abroad, why not do it in India? There is no glory, no wealth now in the foreign countries. Those times are long gone.

When you want more to grow by cultivation and earn more you bore more borewells. What happens. You draw more water and the water underground get depleted first small cultivators suffer and later rich man’s well or borewells get dried up. Well things are different in USA . First they will offer Americans jobs. They will offer new. Fresh Graduates, from good schools. Even Americans are not finding Engineering Jobs. Years ago , when I was working at Boeing , my Indian friend told me they told him they will move him to India with a lower Salary or loose his job. He somehow got himself a job at Boeing afterwards. I have seen the Aircraft Industry fall apart. Yes there are space and Defense programs but they hire US citizens. Also I realize that what they teach you for Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering has very little to do with Industry. The Industry is more applied. But Masters degree has lots of theory and 96 percent you will not use. I think I have better suggestion. Why not come to USA , get an apprentice degree say in Electrical installation say for homes, Industrial etc, a 2 year degree. See if India has demand for it before you jump in. Things are very different now. I think AI systems looks promising here.
