Winter, one thing I thought about during your outro was that if you start running out of new things, you could always go back and recast great series from the past couched in the context of the meta at the time.
"I might have to eat my words there, which, hmm, delectable". Calling the muta GG. "This is a drone that lost at musical extractors, the penalty is death by incineration". "Dark going with the `If they're doing something kinda weird, go f***ing kill 'em` strategy". And all of that in less than 10 minutes. You, Sir, are on fire today. Like well earned 👍
You may think you won the gamble with Dark`s mootas, but you see, Winter, it was you who is the fool, for i am already subscribed and i like as soon as i click on the video (if i don`t forget) Edit: Ah yes, Musical extractors, my favorite childhood minigame
Mr. Winter, you are supplying some amazing quality narration. I usually log in and look for content on youtube first while enjoying some cereal. Please keep up good work.
I saw your "fight me" challenge in the title. I'm waiting outside your front door. Come on out whenever you're ready. I brought a pack of beer for afterwards.
I would like to see the top 3 players in the world 3 vs 3 the entire world in a big prize novelty tournament. That would be : Team 1 - Clem , Serral , Maru vs 4 weeks of noobies getting nuked to hell
no it's totally fair because instead of getting all that money to make up for a 50 worker deficit he had to give up scans which reveal cloaked units EDIT: was a sarcastic reply fellas. I know just enough about starcraft to know I know nothing and unqualified to actually speak on the balance.
It did not happen like you portray it. It was only a few min with a massive difference of workers *working* differences. Then dark's workers advantage were long distance mining. And during those minutes of difference the terran army was still at full force, not being able to have reinforcement doesn't diminish your current force.
I wonder if in Winter's old age if he gets dementia he might forget everything back to the point of one of his rants and believe he's Brenda or something like
I do genuinely prefer the 6 workers to the 12. It's not simply a matter of skipping the first minute or so of the game, it's how this basically condenses all the phases which existed in WoL and HotS, a matter of "the early game" being able to involve armies at like 50 supply rather than 20-30. The "mid-game" has been condensed from being a multi-phase struggle to take more bases and get maxed into both players immediately getting 3-5 bases and maxing out within the first 10 minutes of the game. I'm just remembering how it was considered "extremely quick" for a Terran or Protoss to get a 3rd by the 8 minute mark in WoL, now if they don't get it by 5 minutes that's considered to be a sign of an all in. One base simply isn't an option (unless it's quite literally a cheese and even then you try to expand relatively quickly), usually two bases is the only means of doing timing attacks, and the rapid acceleration of the economy means teching up is extremely fast compared to how it used to be. I'm not saying that the players aren't better or anything like that, and I understand that it can be kind of boring having to commentate nothing happening for the first 2 minutes a lot of the time, but that isn't really any different from Brood War (and, in my opinion, Brood War commentators do fine with this), and I remember there being far more options for players in those first several minutes compared to now. For instance, as a protoss player playing against a zerg I could (ignoring cheeses): 1) choose to try to go one base (4-gate, two gate-robo, two gate-stargate etc.) 2) choose to do a forge fast expand 3) choose to do a 1-gate expand 4) choose to do a 2-gate fast expand (slightly slower than forge and a little weird) 5) take gases early to tech up to something like twilight, stargate, or dts, etc. Now as a protoss player playing against a zerg I can: 1) go 1 gate expand into stargate 2) go 1 gate expand into twilight council to do some sort of adept/blink stalker timing Forge isn't even an option because it's too slow tech-wise, 1 base is effectively impossible to reasonably play, etc. All I'm saying is, I found the game more interesting even if the players weren't anywhere near as fast or good as they are now.
Este vídeo no se trata sobre Franco Escamilla y su lamentable situación (en la que Franco se metió). Más bien, es sobre prudencia usando a Franco como ejemplo.
you know what winter i am not even gonna see if you are right, here is a like and a subscribe anyway my friend, good luck. oooohhhh the first one might have counted i don't know about that one coach lol
The only thing I would change is worker offset... since it begins to graph off. Terran gets 11, Zerg starts with 10, and protoss starts with 12... This slight change would alter the gameplay a bit, but it is fine how it is, but it would reflect the build time loss of probes form nexus', it would tame over expansion larva with zerg a bit the added income gives them to much produciton power with a queen combo also.. Terran is a slotted in 11, as it has mules and avg. I would have to test it and early game this would slow down terran, reapers .. and slow down ling all ins or make larger sacrfice ot slow min/ recovery model rather than no rss punishment... and protoss would have abiltiy to have faster.. adapets/ zealots stalkers to their typical oppenents balancing it out a bit.. but keep in mind I think it works okay now. alternative.. another balance is leave everything the same and boost the supply count of nexus by 2. THis owuld help out protoss. This owuld be a more simpler and beneficial balance. meh.. what do I know
*starts imaginary dialog out of the blue* 19:15 "This is a message from the Hatchery Owners Association, the HOA! How many times do we have to tell you terrans, there's a... you're not allow... just... just stop! we don't like your kind around here, okay!? I'll just, I'll just say it, all right!? I think I speak for everyone around here" "NO YOU DON'T BRENDA" GOTTA SAY, I LOVE IT! The autism is so strong here! HAHAHAHAHA
