I am an Intrepreneur myself and I fully agree with your analysis. We need to focus on our product or service quality rather than just customer acquisition targets. Also stick to ethics and please don't fudge data to attract investors. Grow slow and steadily, don't dilute stake too much for sake of fast growth. Startup is not 5 minutes Maggi Noddles, have passion for your product and don't think of easy exits because it gives a negative impression about your character and your product to market. It's good for us because... The ecosystem builds because of these funded startups. They over-estimate the market size, try to expand revenue. And to some extent, they actually end up expanding the market size. Flipkart got people to buy online. Demonitization gave a push to digital. Covid gave another push. And UPI gave a major push. Now because of all this, we have more online users and buyers. Whenever I see a startup getting funded, I am also happy.

All that you said is right. But a founder lives his life on his convictions and that is what is important. Still, India needs founders who can take risks and work hard. Founders are building an ecosystem for India. The ecosystem in India needs to learn about acceptance of failures and encourage and allow founders to experiment with there ideas.

Great companies takes not only time but also long term thinking, profitable business model, good base, and revolutionary thinking all together. The biggest companies like Tata, Mahindra, Reliance, Jindal, Mittal, Ford, BMW not got rich in 1 year and then vanished other year. They had a very solid base, long term vision, and most importantly profitable business model 👌. Also I have special fascination towards Large Private companies like Bosch,Cargil, Koch Brothers, Essar steel,SpaceX,Deloitte etc and also Amul. Without external money, and all the bullshit of public corporations, they moved on and became Giants. 😎😎😎

Businesses is cost of service or product plus profit you make by selling it. Growing of business is slow and steady process. Startup owners are bulilding business in just 2 to 3 years is fancy side, but actually they are backed huge liability and losses which is never told by anyone. The problem with most Indians is that they only concentrate in Investing Money in India. Africa is a Great opportunity whereby even simple businesses can give a R.O.I within 2 years and sometimes less than than. I live in Uganda and in the last 5yrs of my investment I have done 10 folds of my money. My advise to people is to look for opportunities in Africa, there is much scope here than anywhere else in the world.

@@cahardiksingh6332 you can go in exhibitions initially and go for handicrafts... there are institutions as well which help in explaining know how like epch...going to exibitions would be reimbursed to a great percentage if you are members and you can make contacts there and perhaps get agents for exports and thus you can stay in india while agents work but beware as exports are way riskier than imports so you have to often go to africa to meet them frequently

Don't just take the advantage of large population being tech and internet enabled by just selling them anything possible by using social media marketing. You'll eventually fail. Build something people need, make it succesful in a niche that you understand and have reach of easily without hardcore marketing. And then raise money and expand. Unicorn company kitni jaldi banani hai ka record banane se Inc42 aur Yourstory pe posts milengi bas tumhe, acha business nahi.

@@IntellectualIndies totally. But I don't think it will stop bhai, India and Indians being majorly status driven. Most of the people around me who wanna startup in near future, want to do it to either prove themselves to someone or just see it as an easy way to fame and money. They don't get it. Not to get me wrong, they're smart people. Saare IIT IIM se hein so they're super smart aur paisa bhi raise kar lenge aaram se. Lekin it doesn't matters in long term. Why is it so hard for everyone to understand that.
