Reloading the game reloads the area, which resets mob aggro/positions and advances certain events. It's also abusable with Fall Control to prevent death from long falls. Intentional damage is usually taken to trigger the Red Tearstone Ring damage boost.

Another reason is because the run is according to in game time. Sometimes quitting out will cancel an animation that would take 1-2 seconds. For example, at the start of the run, he quits out while opening the asylum door. This cuts out the time of the door opening as quitting out stops the timer

How come you didn’t lay inside the coffin?

It's a glitch. You need to have more than 10k items on your inventory, he does that by buying multiple arrows. Since you can't have more than 10k items, you'll always drop a arrow once you picked up an item. Doing that speeds up the "item catch" animation.

The armor gets blocked from going into your inventory from a glitched item with an insane amount of weight. It still counts towards 100% because picking it up is the important part; even if you drop it later, you're changing the world, which is what they're concerned with. Them changing the world is also why they open doors that they never ever use. Blocking the pickup just automatically drops it immediately instead of later on.

That drop from the Undead Dragon has no event flag attached to it to make it respawn on load. As such, it's gone when you go through a loading screen, making it not required to be picked up. There would be no way to actually track picking up an item like that through the external 100% tracker as well because the only way to do that is via event flags.

I think that is the cap for the catalyst and magic he was using the magic he used dark bead is based off strength so he only needed 50 to use it is my guess

Soft cap is at 50, the extra dmg at 99 INT, especially in NG, is negligible. This is especially true if you’re also taking into account the time save of a few seconds not leveling up.
