By far the best run I've had of this game. I would have to start using red tearstone ring to get better times which I'm not really interested in doing. So for now I am happy with this.
All bosses? No BS? No corny character? PS4?! No commentary?! ...Fuck a faster time, this is officially WR in best/"most watchable" DSR speedrun on RU-vid.
A glitchless speedrun of DS Remastered on PS4? That’s quite rare to see, and therefore very welcome! Great speedrun, very entertaining to watch, well done!
Seeing how no glitches where used this speedrun is the most legitimate an best one I ever seen an possibly ever to exist.this is a rare an legendary feat..
What a nice and refreshing take on DS1 speedruns! I also learned a couple of tricks I hadn't seen before. Lovely, truly the most enjoyable I've watched! Bravo! :)
Amazing run. I used it to try and complete dark souls as fast as I can. After many failed attempts, I finally finished it with a 4.5 hour run. Even though I'm incredibly pleased with myself, it made me appreciate even more how perfect you had to be to complete this. Incredible. I love this run
What a beatiful run, holy shit! It is not like I dislike the other speedruns with glitches on Sen's Fortress and weapons or shit, but this is by far the most impressive, because you manage this awesome time without any "tricks" and have awesome skips on some parts of the games that I did not know about although I played it through so many NG+. Well played.
Among many of the 16bit classics Dark Souls is one my favorite games to watch a speedrun of. It's so soothing to see a great run like yours. Like watching a lava lamp.
Awesome! I usually enjoy watching speedruns with glitches because I like seeing games broken, but with dark souls, it seems like some exploits somehow go against the spirit of the game. I like to see bosses actually beaten fairly and nowt with the estoc-bow-heavy weapon trick!
I’ve played this game since release in 2011 and thanks to this video ive only just realised that the patterns Quelaag’s firesword makes when she swipes at you resemble a spider’s web
How come this runs and this channel not get as much attention as its deserves.... VERY impressive gameplays look at those damn skills and memorize no hesitation , All bosses , Look so planned and no mistakes.. really ive never seen dsr&ds1 speedrun as good as this before Great work sir! (English arent my first languages)
great speed run no BKH bullshit and RTSR just easy set ups everyone can do awesome! That Elizabeth's Mushroom and poise combo never thought of that i guess even in 2020 you learn new strategies. Liked.
As soon as I watched my first Dark Souls speedrun I was obsessed with it. I put tons and tons of hours replaying the game with different builds and doing challenge runs to learn the bosses and routes to run. So as far as attempts I'd say hundreds to get this run which is still my best time for all bosses.
21:14 I usually kill them before waking up or dance around them but that was some impressive Taekwondo shit lol Never seen this attack before! Great run man as always!
Great run, but i have noticed a flaw. After killing quelaag you dont activate the binfire at her sister, but if you did, you wouldnt have to go through all of blighttown again cause you could just warp to the bonfire. Saves a lot of time i think, unless there is something i missed
Thanks for commenting! It's actually faster to run down through Blighttown twice than resting at any of the bonfires after Quelaag. Reason being is when you fight Quelaag you don't have the ability to warp out yet so you would have to run all the way back to Blighttown and ride all the elevators back up. Way faster to use a homeward bone after Quelaag and just run back there later in the run after beating Ornstein and Smough.
im pretty new but i did dex build, used Uchigatana the whole playthrough, did get both Ciaran's swords but thought they wouldn't be good unupgraded but the gold tracer seems to be pretty good or are you just better at the game lol? note: didn't realize you had it upgraded when i commented
The gold tracer is so good because it does bleed damage ridiculously fast to a lot of bosses. Uchi is also really good fully upgraded too for a casual run. It's just all preference honestly.
@@riflevalentine1598 ye i had it upgraded to +15 before i think Iron Golem using ymfah's guide either way, this vid made me wanna try the gold tracer also yeah it was so satisfying to see you do bleed damage to the stray demon and the demon firesage so fast
Man, cutting the dragons tail off is hella of a lot harder than you made it look. Not only do you have to dodge the archers then you have to be in the right spot switch weapon and buff the weapon. I screw it up every time. The bosses are no problem but little situations like those is what gets me
Yeah it's even worse in the remaster. The one shield hollow dies to the fire in the original but stays alive in the remaster and he can attack you and mess you up occasionally too.
@@riflevalentine1598 yes and he does mess me up. Im very impressed, good stuff, well done. This is alot harder then ppl think. Ive beat the game in 3 and half hrs. That's my best. Its hard and you make it look easy. Good stuff
I would recommend killing the hollows by headshotting them with the bow before shooting the drake. It just makes cutting the tail so much easier since you won't have to worry about getting interrupted.
@@riflevalentine1598 i tried using the halberd cause its easier to get, but it doesnt seem quite as good. still works, but ill try again with drake sword
The thing that got me the most through all of this was not upgrading strength past Level 16 through the whole run. How were you able to do such insane damage with the Halberd with that stat? I know some of the other weapons used were Dex weapons, but surely the Halberd relies on a high-ish strength score?
I'm pretty sure the halberd scales with strength and dexterity equally so I just put most of my levels into dexterity because of the gold tracer I use later on. Also I got lucky when the crystal lizard before Taurus demon dropped a titanite chunk which let me upgrade the crystal halberd to +1 as well.
Awesome! May I ask why you don't light the Chaos bonfire after Qualagg to warp to later? I'm assuming because you want to bone back to Firelink, but as long you only light the Chaos fire and don't rest at it you can still bone back to Firelink, no?
You have to rest at a bonfire in Dark Souls 1 to set it as a warp point. It's faster to run down to Blighttown twice from firelink than having to run the whole way back out of Quelaag's boss room and ride all the elevators and ladders back up to Firelink if you would rest at the Daughter Of Chaos bonfire. Thanks for watching the run!
Normally if you go through that area slowly an enemy runs and closes the gate on you and you have to go down and around to open it. If you run straight to it you can get past it before he closes the gate and skip going around and opening it yourself.
When I first discovered the souls games I was in a difficult time of my life. The difficulty and replayability of the games helped me deal with stress and in doing so I ended up getting a lot better at them. I wouldnt call it perfection but I'm glad people enjoy this!
Bruh i thought you were lying about all bosses when i saw the vid ends after 12 minutes and you still haven't killed ceaseless yet You proved that i was wrong lol Sorry for underestimating you
My favorite fight: Centipede demon Here is the reason why: Im almost done with my very First playthrough, only need daddy of souls. So He ran around on those platforms I didnt even noticed after the boss fight. Ok im blind i guess. Then the Demon began to walk on those platforms aswell. My only thought: Well... Now I now why this thing can jump.... It has fucking legs?!?!
Really really enjoying it until you got to Bed of Chaos and now i'm upset... You beat that way too easily to the point it's actually kind of pissed me off. Damn good playing, love the work but please don't make me look so foolish to Bed of Chaos with your insanely good skills.
