This is one of the most actually distinct versions of these I've seen yet. Everything looks like something I can identify from the game.

I never played any Souls games but I found these images to be astounding.

I've been meaning to watch the other videos but as soon as I saw Dark Souls 2 on the title I clicked on this right away! I'll be back to edit this comment with my response after I finish watching this. EDIT: Holy crap! That was amazing. Almost every npc/enemy/boss and location was spot on. No Man's Wharf was especially impressive. The Iron Keep in this reminds me of a place in Berserk. Also I have to mention how sinister the Old Iron King looked in this. That was really good. My favorites though were Majula, the Emerald Herald at Dragon Aerie, Eleum Loyce (of course!) and King Vendrick. This version of Majula reminds me a lot of the Majula concept art. Thank you for doing this!

I dream of a day when the computing power of pc/consoles is such that it can render video games instantly with graphics like the ones shown in those pictures. You could ask the AI to generate a game in an instant and "modding" would get so intense.

Wow it's kind of crazy how good AI is at doing this stuff like they even seem to get the techniques down for example some things look like matte painting backdrops and the dragon looks like stop motion super imposed onto a background wild.

Watching these Dark souls 80s dark fantasy style while being high is just an extracorporial experience, no joke. 10/10

A brilliant concept, Dark Souls 2s' inspirations include Steve Jackson's series of Novels Sorcery/Natoshi Zin's Kings Field/Harry Harryhausen's stop motion filmography, plus Dark Crystal; Part of the reason these styles work well, is it's not out of place; this style is present natively in its artwork.

Wharf looks sick. Really wish it resembled that in the actual game.
