Th3UniQu3 Well as a relatively new player to Dark Souls , after i finished my first characters ng+ i decided to make a new one , he is currently level 161 with 50 faith 40 end 40 str and 40 dex , i plan on getting str to 50 eventually , this character allows me to try almost every weapon in the game. I would advise everyone who is going to play this game for a long time to make a build like this. Just to see every weapon's moveset.
I honestly think 100% shields shouldnt exist. I played through DS2 with the Drangelic Shield and it felt like total easymode against most bosses. Aggressive and agil bosses? ph, who cares: block that shit, hit once or twice, block that shit, rinse and repeat, no dodge rolls needed
if it is in the game and it'll make the game easier, I'll use it. Im not responsible for balancing issues, I just want to beat the game no matter what, thats my goal
Luca S. That's 0K, it's your experience. But to be fair, you are talking about DkS2 which is either the easiest or hardest Souls. Try using no shield on that one, particularly if you do it without leveling Adaptability you'll get destroyed.

You covered pretty much of it. :) Also, it's REALLY easy to farm titanite shards when reaching catacombs of carthus. The second enemy you encounter drops one almost each time you defeat it and the bonfire is pretty close to him, making it a decent farming spot. :)
if siegmeier helps you against the fire demon in the village, youre getting a victory brew (dont know if i translated it right). dont waste it against the frost knight which is waiting near of an elevator. take it to the raven nest and you will get solairs body armor ! :)
Yes you translated it correctly, it's not siegmeier it's siegward and there is no reason to use the siegbrau for the outrider knight since you can pretty much fuck him up easily cuz he is predictable and if you don't want to fuck him up, you can skip him and go straight to the bonfire.

In the high wall of lothric, make sure to go to the right on the path to the room with the estus shard. Drop down at the end of the balcony to reach the opposite side of the middle balcony (the upstairs area you enter the room from to get the cell key) and you can get the Astora straightsword out of a chest.
Alfredo Belloni It's good for early game. The scaling on it is terrible, but with a raw infusion, it can out-perform other straightswords till about +6. It's great for early game. Now the Astora Great Sword, on the other hand, is like a slightly lighter, ever so slightly weaker Zweinhander, but it has a weapon art similar to a spear, rather than the stomp. That weapon is awesome. However, the straightsword is good until you can level up the Irithyl Straightsword, the Dark sword (Ew!) Anri's Sraightsword or the Sunlight Straightsword, depending on your build and of course, if you like straightswords.
Im using a raw broadsword on my pyro, since i found it near the S. Astoras sword. Im against Aldritch now and cant seem to find anything better. Its at +8.
Alfredo Belloni It depends on what build you're running. If you run a quality build, (40/40 strength/dex) any other straightsword with a refined infusion can out-perform it. My biggest problem with that weapon is that there are no thrust attacks, but slash damage instead. This means your blade's harder to use in narrow corridors and does considerably less damage to heavily armoured enemies.
First play-through of a dark souls game ever (DS3): killed the first mimic I found on the High Wall of Lothric. Thought to myself golly gosh that was hard. Looted it and found a deep axe AND the symbol of avarice. Tried it on thought, woah this looks crazy! then noticed my health slowly decreasing. Decided item was total trash and sold it to someone in the firelink. IT HAS NOT DROPPED EVER AGAIN EVEN AFTER SEVERAL MORE PLAY THROUGHS... FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF~
the symbol of avarice take 10hp/ps but gives you like 50% souls 50% itwem discovery. only one can srop each run threw you must kill a mimic until it does theres thirteen mimics. hint with the symbol of avarice, whield of want, silver serpant ring you get 98% more souls im lvl 400
Really? I personally find that hard to believe, seeing as the Broadsword I picked up in high wall was way better in terms of stats than the claymore. What makes it so good?
His reaction when opening that chest to find a mimic is priceless and we've all done it when we played this game the first time and probably that exact chest and to those worried about trying to get titanite shards don't be too Frugal with them because enemies later in the game drop them like candy I won't say which enemies and I won't say how far into the story to avoid spoilers for those that haven't beat this game yet with that being said though an early game you want to choose a weapon that you're going to use the most and level that up first
Tip: Each enemy has an Aggro Zone and they will step back once reached the threshold of their own zone. Use it wisely whenever you have a hard time. Example: Lothric Knights will never step inside the Blue Cathedral or Vordt's zone, Uchigatana Guy will never go inside the Altar, The 2nd Giant inside the Deep Cathedral cannot hit you if you stay under the staircase in which you find Drang's hammers. Plus, the first Crystal Lizard can be easily get stuck in the place you have found the Mana Estus Flask.
Whiskiz Yo Probably not worth it if you're quite far into the game, I use the shield of want that does the same thing then when I beat a boss I put on the symbol of avarice.
You missed the fact that you can kill Emma to get a late game boss fight, which if you beat her, you get tons of late game items like large titanite shards, chunks and op boss weapons before you even fight vordt!!
+AnonymMC well my first ever play through I killed dancer before vordt. But I wouldn't recommend doing this cause it ruins the hardness of the other bosses.
The last part of the video with the towerkey you can also drop down in that part and find some items if you look down youll see a platform with a blinky item on it

A really good advice against that first Mimic would be to get the Undead Hunter Charms in the same room you got one of those Titanites and use it on the Mimic, he'll yawn and after 5 seconds you can pick his item without having to kill him!

@@ajddavid452 Got the item and beated watchers of abyss in 5 attempts after watching this video. before i thought it was impossible :) stamina is huge at that boss, also was too patient with enforcin my current weapon. wanted to invest in later game weapons. but I needed the buff. I gave up on ds2 cause i was too stubborn to look things up from youtube. but now imdefinately gonna finish this game!

It's pretty straight forward; All bosses until the first lord of cinder are relatively easy, the map is quite straight forward and only branches twice (thrice if you take something that's high level in consideration). You don't get lost very easily if you're aware of where you go, consider using the dark sword (look up a build and where to get it); it's an easy to handle sword, great for beginners, look in every corner where you go and pick up everything you see, try to refrain yourself from using guides, because that kills the magic of the game... I wish you success on your journey, fellow champion of ash.
***** Raw is staying ahead in damage for quite a while, by the time you could change it to any of those three so that they can compete with Astora's raw damage (if you even need to do that, since it's really powerful without any stat investment, allowing you to go hp\stamina) you could just go with a better weapon overall. But it's a solid thing that can carry you through a whole game on its minimal requirements.
***** It's insane for early game. And it's actually pretty good for the whole game, since it allows you to invest into other things, while maintainng decent damage per swing with a stellar straightsword moveset.
No6 - I loved the dmg of this Axe when I found it. I think I might have beaten 1/3 game with this. Changed it to much faster Irythill Straight Sword later on (loved the guard breaking skill).
Ngl I recently bought dark souls 3 after playing 400+ hours of elden ring and dark souls 3 is the first soul series I own. There was such a huge difference and DS3 is honestly a bit more unforgiving than elden ring but I’m already loving the game I got the uchigatana from the guy at the beginning, killed the lizard, killed the mimic, almost killed the dragon that comes out of now where and killed that fat frost boss. I’m only like 5 hours and 11 minutes into the game. (Also sadly I found all these things out on my own except the undead settlement I still have to explore the next areas after that frost boss because I had to come back to free that prisoner and was 4 am so I went to bed)
OMG i just found a way to kill him without even hitting me follow these steps. -Try and bait him to get to the ledge near the bonfire - Then wait til he rolls ( he is gonna do that) -He will fall off the ledge and you will get the drop!!!! ahahahha i just did that cuz i could not beat him ^^

Another good item to get is to go all the way across the bridge you jumped off of to get to the roof of the shrine, this leads you into a little tower, make your way to the bottom of the tower and you'll find the "Estus Ring" which gives an increase to your Estus Flask's healing ability roughly equivalent to the boost given by an Undead Bone Shard.
theres also the butcher knife at the road of sacrifice its A at damage and if max its S at dmg and it have a weapon art sharpen if sharpen can heal a few health
+Karian Despri I beat the game in about 41 hours, with beating all the bosses, but then I discovered something called PvP, and for some reason I've spent over 30 hours on it so far and it's not getting old, LOL.
King Meruem Yeah, I enjoy the PvP but I still haven't beaten the game yet, because I've been trying 3 different characters. I have a strength/dex character with no armour, a heavy tank (who's kinda meh right now because poise doesn't do anything currently), and a paladin type character, kinda tanky, kinda damage-y, uses lots of miracles. She's really fun to play.
Yes, tried it today. But there is a much easier to get it early: From the Firelink Shrine bonfire, go up the left hand stairs, make a right then a left, wait for the fog to disappear. Walk out, up to the left, there is a tree next to the roof use that tree to jump on the roof. Face the roof, run diagonally up the tree, then move the stick diagonal right while pressing the jump button, it may take a few tries, but getting an Estus Shard and the Covetous Silver Serpent Ring is really worth the trouble.

I'm a fucking noob, DS3 Is my first Dark Souls, Well I played a bit of the 2nd one and I defeated the mimic first try, Not trying to toot my own horn but its pretty easy if you just dodge his attacks constantly
DarkSouls 3 looks so good, I really cant wait to play it! Although I've been told that it's not a game that I should just jump into, that I should go back and play the older ones first so that the story makes sense. Anyone know if this is true?

Sleepy Reaper Gaming Not at all, like stated, the storyline you should be good with even without prior knowledge of the other games. Just don't try to jump into the Lore, i've played all 3, and i still don't understand it. But i haven't focused on it, just kinda understood the concepts. There are some areas in 3 that are present in 1. It won't hurt not knowing them what they are, but it's just a cool thing to look back on for some of us who've played the first one and think about.
