Never was interested in Dark Souls or these type of games, played about 10mins of Bloodborne at my brothers house, died about 30 times, got pissed off and turned it off stating why would anyone play a game like that...... then went home. Game played in my head for a few days, thinking you know what, I'm gonna beat that basic enemy giant holding a brick. Bought it. Started playing it, died 10 times, shook my head and cursed the game before promptly switching it off and put Battlefield on. What a waste of money. 10mins later, right maybe if I roll left instead I can beat it, put it back on. Beat it!! Now I've beaten bloodborne, sekiro and working my way through dark souls 3. There is something about these games where it just keeps you coming back for more, like gollum with the one ring. Fantastic, addictive games which have provided me with hours of frustration and woes, but damn you cant get a better feeling than when you take that bastard of a boss out after 5700 attempts and about 5 years shaved off your life through stress. Keep them coming From software.

Using armour based on stats is playing Dark Souls wrong, amirite? Fashion Souls is love.

I got this game for Christmas last year, never watched a single review since I first heard of it when it was released and am in LOVE with this game. I think this is an amazing game in general and also absolutely love the soundtrack.

"Armor upgrading is gone and that is a welcome addition" that is literally the opposite of an addition.

After spending over 150 hours playing this game, I'd put it in my top 10 games of all time. I got it at release on PC and PS4.

Bought this game 4 years ago. Gave up on the second area. Tried it again after watching a few videos and managed to find my groove and actually finish it. It was amazing.

i need help today i begin playing this game and i have problem with writing a name in the beginning of character creation the game dont accept the letters it gives me lines like this - - - - - - instead of letters and the game give me a message that says the game dont accept these letters and will put * * * * * instead of letters how do we solve this ?

Never played a Dark Souls game until I rented DSIII from Redbox...now I'm hooked. Haven't been challenged like this in a video gm in a long time. Makes accomplishments and discovery so much more rewarding. Didn't know any better and started a deprived character first play-through and never regretted the challenge.

I've played and completed every soulsborne game and dark souls 3 just makes it so much more diverse. Its my favourite game in the series and ever!

Started it up, left it at the menu to listen to that amazing music. That music told me this was the final DS game.

this was the first Dark Souls game I played... didn't play Bloodborne either. And this game is awesome. thanks to a few tutorials online, I don't die nearly as much.. ha ha.. but even dying doesn't kill my joy, this game is spectacular. As a noob... I got abused, but I've learned the art of backstabs and trying to figure out weapon upgrading has been great. Buy ! Buy! Buy! *if you lack the hand eye coordination to be great at games... stay away from this game and play The Sims*

Today is the day Elden Ring releases. I am watching this video 5 years after its release and Ive purchased this game on Xbox and PC. I have played a couple hundred hours and I love the game. Now Im watching this to see if my pre order for Elden Ring was worth it even though they are 2 completely different games.

This is not my style of game BUT i want to try something new.So should i get?

Once you get hooked to this game, you might suffer from the Souls curse. Meaning that no game will ever feel as good as these type of game after. Beware!!

Before you buy DS3, Make sure you also put the DLCs in your cart mate!

I've been looking for something new to play for my XBox One and as soon as I saw the trailer for DS3 I was hooked. I cannot wait to play this game. I love a challenging game so hopefully this makes me earn it with each and every boss battle

I personal like both games, ds2 for the game play and how they improved upon combat but one for nostalgia reasons and the fact the world felt "lived in" where you could see other areas like how you could kinda see undead burg from darkroot basin, dark souls 2 if you looked into the distant on places like harvest valley you saw a horizon made of pixels, but both games are amazing.

Short answer: Yes.

I actually got dark souls 3 but im still waiting to play it. This is my first FromSoft game and im excited to boot it up. It was this vs elden ring but it was cheaper so i went with this. I intend to play all souls games and elden ring in near future. Maybe even every FromSoft game if I can do that.

I have a medicore PC. Picked this up and am surprised how well it's been running. The only lag i've ever had was when i first spawn in other than that it's amazing. Made it to Irithyll of the Boreal Valley and started to slow down might start playing again sometime not sure. But the 23 hours it has given me have been filled with ups and downs and it's great. I remember when I thought the high wall of lothric was challenging and now I look back and laugh.

I've been a fan of these games since King's Field back in the day. I'm about 35 hours into DS III and I think it's pretty freaking good. Some of the enemy designs are just out of this world, with some real standouts near the end of the game. The level design is structurally wonderful, with areas that feel very different from one another, from sprawling to linear. I'm disappointed that they couldn't get this to 60fps on PS4, but the level of graphical detail kinda justifies it. The boss soundtrack is amazing, with multiple phases of the music to go with the multi-phase bosses. Nothing will ever beat the sheer weirdness of the Demon's Souls soundtrack, but this is the best of the Dark Souls ones for sure. I'm with the author here, I think removing the armor upgrading system is addition by subtraction, I never liked it. Magic isn't fixed - I feel like they've been nerfing magic too much to compensate for the Demon's Souls Broken Poison Cloud of Death. Also, too many great-looking Fashion Souls unique weapons pale in comparison to a normal broadsword or estoc in the upgrade path yet again, making PvP look boring... again. Not fixed. And holy crap, that difficulty spike at Irythyll is nuts. Overall, I love it, weird problems and all. Praise the soup!

I'd consider myself a hardcore fan, and your review is spot on. Even though nothing can top the fun of playing DS1 for me, I was still really, really happy with this game. In the face of the mass-produced triple-A title crap we usually hear about nowadays, this game is really unique and well done! The only downside is that it spoiled me-I can't enjoy any of my old games anymore! XD

When I first got Dark Souls 1 on my xbox 360 a few years ago it was ok but now I'm really wanting to try part 3 and get back into the series

I just rebought Dark souls 3 yesterday after getting mad 2 years ago from not be able to beat the second boss I gave up and traded the game in after buying it new ... right now I’m on the second boss since I have some experience from the last time fighting him he is easy/hard . I’m more of a noob to this game tho still since I didn’t have the game for more then 3 weeks and didn’t play it after the second boss . I’m still learning a lot about it and my first time into the series .

my brother got me hooked to this game. at first I fucking hated this shit (I actually despise the first one though, guess I need to git gud), but now it's one of my favorite gaming franchises of all time.

just bought it a few days ago. reminds me of the strategy of monster hunter. more basic but i like the medieval style and precision of the gameplay. first time playing any of the souls series and i like it !

I'm currently playing this on x1 and I'm really liking it! Its probably the best game as a ds type game I've played in a while and it does not disappointed. The way the game plays is perfect and the difficulty is great. Everytime you get through a boss and enter a new area is refreshing and you feel acconplished when you do so. The frame rate is fine in my opinion on x1 and its a lot of fun. I always seem to get a refreshing feeling when i do fight a new enemy cause they are more agressive and try to find away against my play style which is nice. I'm glad you cant just use magic to find your way around the enemy because now FP come into play and you need to use it in more useful ways. I'd rate this game a 9/10. the only way it would be a 10 is if they had more types of weapons but they have plenty of game to keep any ds fan satisfied!!

Dark souls 3 is absolutely amazing. As a hard core souls series fan it seems like they combined the best elements of every souls game including demon's souls. It is definitely the hardest souls game yet but hardly ever feels unfair. The lag in pvp is far better than it was in dark souls or even dark souls 2. All in all this is really shaping up to be one of my favorite games

Watching this 40 hours into my first Elden Ring playthrough. It feels like home ...

So I’ve never played dark souls or any other games from the series until my friend got me hooked on it after he talked about and worshiped this game for a few months. The only reason why I have the game is because he bought it for me and as soon as I saw the first cutscene I was completely hooked. I’ve never played a game this challenging or this engaging and now I’m trying to learn as much as I possibly can about it because of how intriguing it is the real ones will help you find things to connect with you and make things interesting.

Souls game= Always buy

Definitely a great game, though I have to admit that I hated practically all midgame areas. But combat, exploration, boss fights, sense of achievement and excitement is constantly high. The boss fights especially are top notch. Be aware that many find DS3 very tough, even for a Soulsborne. If you're frustrated, Demon's Souls or especially Elden Ring might provide an easier start into the genre if you're willing to do some research

If your having lag problems I recommend some kind of extension corn for a modem it will definitely get you perfect frames

How do you feel about Scholar (next gen) vs Dark Souls iii? I've played 1 and Scholar for the 360, and I'm looking to upgrade and am curious which of the 2 newer ones you would recommend. (I have an xbox one so bloodborne isn't an option.)

I got the Lothric knight gear from the knights right before the boreal valley boss in the first area and it is the coolest looking and strongest armor and weapons in the whole game I didn’t swap them once
