another thing i don't understand in dark souls are cheats and hacks. i can understand mods to have a different type of gameplay but plainly hack a game to kill another player is what kills the fun. i guess someone prefer to play like this

@ıoq ɥnʎ well acid surge is part of the game, takes a while to do it but it's not against the rules, if the people doesn't know it it's not your friend's fault. still cheating is pretty lame. i do use cheats when doing single player but it's only me in the game so nobody gets penalized by it, but using them in multiplayer....oh well when they get banned they will realize, or cry for it, either way is fine xD

I never once understood the hate for invaders. Not only is it a part of the game, it’s very easily avoided, just don’t be embered, have your humanity restored, or effigied.

Imagine be so salty at an important online dark souls mechanic that you name your character calling that mechanic out. Really made me mad, because when you think about it, most invaders put time and effort into learning pvp so that they can have a fun and honourable fight with hosts. There are very few people who invade for the sole purpose of being a nuisance, they do it because pvp is what they enjoy, and just because you don't enjoy pvp doesn't mean you have the right to have a go at those people for enjoying an integral part of the games.

Fyrestar I think It’s pretty funny. Imagine getting your ass whooped so bad by an invader you literally just name a character so you can shame invaders. Idk about you man but as a red I would be laughing my ass off if I killed him. But I’m an invader who enjoys getting hatemail and beating salty scrubs so we all have different opinions.

@@MvIak back when I would play if I saw a solo host I would sit back if I had teammates and sometimes other Invaders would join me instead of ganking. It was very rare though

@@steelpapaya6270 I do solo host in Gank city with a Dried Finger. It's pretty fun, even though you do run into the occasional scumbag tryhard.

I want to solo host some more but i either get 1 invader when I do it or i get set against some guy who will run to every pve group after i deal with it like damn dude i only have 30% more max health at this stage im running poison/bleed at 125

I just recently got called a noob for using the paired great swords against 3 gankers. Like dude, you had so little skill that I wrecked you WHILE you got protected by your Phantoms and I was attacked by another invader. So I had to kill a small army of you and yes for that I’ll use a overpowered weapon instead of my heavy claymore

They are not. Invaders who complain are the same as host and their summons who cry because there is invaders in their game. You can't like to fight ganks, but only if you win. You have plenty of advantages on your side to make it, even against a gank. Of course, there is some cases where you need more than luck and skill to win, but it is not usual. And i say that, i die a lot against ganks. But thats the point. Yes, some of them resummon... but with dried fingers, it is constant invasions. Right ?

I am a mass roleplay guy, so I wait for hours to invade the Crucifiix as a Watcher in the full get up and Wolf Knight Curved Sword just spawn in a level cleared, 4 man, meta gank. It gets SO OLD as I try to get all the items legit. I love 1v1's but Invading has extreme disadvantages. As an Invader, I'vd lost some honor just so I can get an easy kill on in invading

@@lilwill8800 as the invader your signing up for whatever the host has prepared for you. Wether that is a noob who can't tie his own shoes or a full gank as you said. It is their world your entering and just like an invader running all around using the enemies and other invaders the host is well entitled to use his own "cheap" tactics.

The problem with DkS3 PvP is that it punishes anyone whose not tryharding as much as physically possible (even Chase had to swap out to be more efficient gear several times) since it's not feasibly possible to not run into this exact scenario with a vast majority of hosts. Combine this with with overleveled password phantoms and there's literally no advantage to being an invader outside of being a SL20 twink. The only thing that could have fixed most of these problems is a long timer for resummoning after reaching the summon cap but that will never happen because the average PvE baby can't handle fighting a basic enemy without at least 2 other people doing it for them.

When I play as a blue, I really enjoy the tactics used by the invaders, becasuse the host already has advantage in numbers. I always bow to the invaders I defeated, for all the effort and a enjoyable fight. But somehow, when I play as invader, facing against 3 Havel monsters, runing for the mobs and still die, I deserve a point down.

唐润铧 the invader life is a rough one I’ve been on both sides and the invasions have a level of fun because of the difficulty but the pint down after a constant 3v1 is annoying. I make it a point (get it) to never point down when invaded. If you lose you have every right to be salty because you weren’t good enough to beat one guy, but you don’t have to try to feel better about yourself by rationalizing your failure. Wow I really went off on a tangent there.

But, of course, you should not forget about the other side of this coin - pussy invaders, that are just too afraid to fight without using PvE, attacking from behind, despite the fact that they've got +14 estus and full set of rings, whilst the host's having, for example, only +6(I had this situation several times). Yes, mostly, bad players go hosting&ganking, but there are these people aswell.

That's a good point I've never considered; wex dust decreasing the likeliness of co-invaders. I guess this puts a pressure on invaders to become übermensch that can read 10 seconds into the future and be one man armies. Kill or be killed, the weak will die out or adapt. Well, on pc anyway.

Sooo, you make a build specifically crafted for killing other players, optimize your loadout for best PVP efficiency, train with that character to kill people better. Then invade and slaughter some random dudes that even struggle to reach the next bonfire, and then start complaining about resummons? Really? For an average host there is literally no way to kill a dedicated invader player in single combat, because no matter how many times you complete the campaign, you won't get any skills usable in PVP out of it. You have to train for PVP specifically. So is it surprising that people don't want to be slaughtered like sheep and use resummons?

Посторонним В yeah no, if you die in pvp 1 on 1 it's your fault and completely fair. Just as you prefer to train your pve, people like chase choose to train their pvp. They put hard work and effort learning how to pvp and fight other players, and they get rewarded with cowardly gankers who walk through the fog gate when things go south. In saying what you just said, your implying that pvp players are playing the game wrong and that they are lesser than pve players. Invasions are a part of the online dark souls experience, and while they can be frustrating to deal with, you have to think about it in the sense that these people are looking for a fun and honourable fight. Invaders are people too lol

Reminds me of launch day way back when. I killed 27 summons and blues in irythil before FINALLY killing a fat turtle host that kept running away when he had a full squad. I even invaded him 3 times and each time i rekt him. Its really sad when they cower behind phantoms.

@@coolness4098 Yeah but the host is the one relying on enemies with the seed. You can just camp the bonfire if you want to gank the invader. If you want to do the level the invader adds a layer of difficulty due to hosts using multiple phantoms. I'd say good ganks still have the advantage against PVE+Invader.

coolness oh my how cowardly it is of the invader to use a strategy that evens out the match instead of diving headfirst into straight sword spam. Even though I have 4 phantoms with me it was obviously the invader being the cowardly one not us. Adam.z the invaders are the ones that want to complain about enemies attacking them. it's a simple mechanic in the game and if you think dark souls 3 enemies + invaders vs 4 guys is an even match than you'd be pretty wrong. enemies are very different from PLAYERS and they have tons of health and do a shit ton of damage, so i don't know where you got that idea. and i'm not suggesting to "dive headfirst" into straight sword spam, i'm saying invaders can't play smart and overpowered enemies is the only way they can win, but if the gank squad is smart they'll just use a seed and the invader's dumb strategy is suddenly turned to dust and they have to actually be smart. this is dark souls, it's not meant to be some easy breeze to just invade someones world when they're trying to progress and kill them

@@coolness4098 It is even, like i said a gank of competent players can kill and avoid enemies in ds3 easily while covering an invaders actions (which only takes one phantom). I fight ganks head on but will always keep my back to enemies so if I need a heal/weapon switch I can dive into the enemies to get cover. If the gank follows to punish they have to deal with enemies, totally fair. Again there is nothing stopping ganks from just staying at the bonfire. Its their own impatience that leads to invaders evening the playing field most of the time. Smart players do not one man army a gank without a form of coverage, thats stupid. The seed stacks everything against the invader which I dont actually have a problem with. The invader is forcefully infiltrating so it makes sense for them to be at some kind of disadvantage. It's still super try hard on the ganks part though. Especially if they camp the bonfire. I just easily avoid enemies, get to safety and wait for the seed to run out.

Theres no bindings to it, you gotta click menu really fast and switch, then you can instantly close out the menu by pressing options button or whatever it is for xbox... so options, x, then x at the right time, switch at lightning speeds, options button instead of circle circle circle

To exit the menu fast after the fudging around in there, I use the start-button (on controller), so probably the equivalent key on M&K. Never done swaps myself like he does, but I hope that helps!
