I still think siegmeyer and solaire had even sadder deaths I mean there didn't need to be any sad piano music in the background. They simply meant so much to the player compared to this guy who we barely even met, talked or interacted with. All we were shown were flashbacks and past experiences with him and other npcs but barely did they show his human side only that he's a good leader who sacrificed his life for the gods to still reign over the lands.

Liam just because hes a cool guy and I remember my friend whos watched them way longer than I have telling me hes played the game and is really good at it and woolie because he'd learn to finally drop his shield and that all those times he said "JUST LIKE DARK SOULS 2!" in BB that ds1 did it first.

Of course when I hear the original piano piece it immediately puts me back into the boss room for Gwyn. But when I hear it done in this version, I can't help but think of Akira Yamaoka with how he handled Silent Hill's music. Awesome!

The end fight, what the entire struggle lead up to. There was no need for a cinematic, no lengthy or dramatic introduction. Just possibly the most impactful piece of music the entire soundtrack had to offer. Then Gwyn gets parried doing his leap and it was all over. Let the fire fade for the cycle must continue.

I know this is old, but I'd like to bring up my thought I had the first time I watched it. The way it sounds reminds me of The sadder themes in dynasty warriors. I could just picture a Dark souls Warriors, where you could make custom characters, like in empires, or go through a short story based around each character from souls. Hell, add a questline that talks about bloodborne and demons souls. Maybe from will get word of this?
