I would never been able to do runs like this xD when the music came in my heart speeding up all the time. No matte how many times i fought a Boss. The music in this game gets me every single time xD Great run dude.!
I‘ve done it by accident somehow. Before that I died 30 times, then I broke his legs and was like „wtf what is this, is it some kind of attack or a new form“ because I was reminded of Laurence from Bloodborne who loses his lower half in the second Phase
Just in case you need it for a future run, you don't have to run through all of Izalith to get the Izalith Pyro Tome. In Smoldering Lake, run right from the bonfire just after the demon/skeles/mimic room and then over to the crumbly looking stone floor (it has a few torches on it I believe). If the arbalest arrows hit the floor there it will fall away and you'll be in the corridor next to the room with that tome in. Anyway thanks for the videos Dist, enjoying these runs so far :)
If I recall correctly, it's actually always optimal to level up Int to 22 first as Pyromancer, or at least 20 if you've got a +3 flame. There's a minimum int requirement before Faith starts scaling with your pyromancies, depending on the level of the glove. 22 Int for +0 Flame, 20 Int for +3 Flame, 18 Int for +10 Flame, and 25 Int for White Hair Talisman, for whatever reason. If you don't believe me, just make two different Pyromancers and level Int to 22 on one and Faith to 22 on the other. Fireballs should do about ~25% more damage with 22 Int. However, 40/20 favoring Int actually under performs 20/40 favoring Faith by about ~5%. They made Pyromancy really fucking complicated in DS3. I kinda love it, though.
I've done so many runs, killed Stray demon on the birdge so many times... and I never kmew he had an alternate attack pattern because I've never seen him on the ground like that. Crazy stuff. Loved the run! When I finish my SL1 run I'll be doing pyro only tomorrow :)
Okay was looking for comments on best pyro and I thought I was dumb because those are the exact 2 im using, and I have chaos pillars as well because why not
You were so worried about the mana on some of those fights...your flask seems to return the entire bar you could have used the leftover that wouldn't cast chaos fireball on combustion, since the flame has it as weapon art.
Hi Dist i tried this run today, and i had the stray demon glitched when i attacked his tail i guess. so i hit the tail with my first hit and he just stopped moving and doing anything, is this known?
Yea I've had him stare at a wall after hitting him with a spell. His AI seemed to stop working for awhile, not sure what causes it though. This has only happened to me once.
I started my pyro and farmed some souls till 25int 2t faith, oml I am one shotting things left and right including those alrich spider guys. Fire style rasen shuriken on almost anything murders it in 1-3 shots lol
I need your guys help! Im at NG+5 now, is it still worth to go for Pyromancy or is it just a NG thing? I dont wanna waste my respecs at Rosaria to try it :/
When a dark souls speed run chat squaks about how pyro looks easy when they make swords look like the games aren't anything out of the ordinary, actually more of a naked streaking run through the park
when hes low but not quite ot of fp why doesnt he use the pyro glove weapon art combustion, its still pyromancy and would have maximized his damage before estusing

I was looking at frost builds, I might be missing a scroll, but there’s very little frost spells I’ve seen, snap freeze is one, cold imbuement is another, and Oceiros sorcery is Ice as well. I am definitely missing a bunch of Orbecks scrolls tho

He hasn't done many speed runs lately. The point of these meme runs is to have fun and use the other weapons so you can play through the game and around with weapons rather than glitching the game out and flying through everything.
There are two versions of Gundyr, Ludex and Champion. Ludex is the first boss, Champion is an optional boss in an alternate version of Firelink Shrine.
+jojotaz33 pyro is better for pve, but worse range than sorcery. for pvp, its personal preference, i use miracles and buff my weapon with lightning blade.
Other people kinda already said it, but it's personal preference. Pyro requires less investment, it's better earlier and stays relatively strong in ng+. Sorcery is relatively shit early game and requires 55+ int to get going plus a significant investment in damage over survivability (magic clutch ring and the helm), but once you get up and running with all the rings and stuff you'll find yourself chunking bosses as high as ng+4 or 5. I just recently managed to kill Vortd on ng+4 with a few CSS before he even managed to get in range of my soulmass. On the other hand some bosses are quite resistant against magic, while i don't think there are any bosses that are exceptionally resistant to fire. TL;DR- If you just want something to cast with fairly small stat investment go pyro (at 20 int/fth it's pretty solid and you can still pump mele stats), if you want to be a glass nuke go sorcery.
