I had the DFZ but sent it back, trying to set the tiny pots on the back was just awful. I thought the sound was great though. I ended up getting the original full size duality pedal instead!
Mini knobs for the tone and blend underneath the stacked knobs would have made these so much more useful for live applications. Good solution for studio use I suppose.
I had a pedal with hidden dials you needed a screw driver to access. I sold it and vowed never again. Just put them on the front, otherwise you are sacrificing functionality and ease of use for aesthetics.
Awesome clip 😎🤘🏻🎸 and agreed that these mini darkglass pedal are indeed phenomenal. I’ve had the b1k and it’s an intriguing overdrive pedal. It was the first pedal I’ve bought that has internal controls and switches and I find it truly unique. Especially since it’s like a set and forget kind of deal. Great pedal to own if you own a mini pedalboard and do like that darkglass tone. The other pedals are awesome too.
Hope you will have a great upcoming Christmas, as you look very tired on this one 😂 Which bass was there in the background (red and black)? The pick guard looks somewhat retro-futuristic, a-la meteora, but it’s definitely not one.
Never been a fan of Darkglass's Microtubes range bar the Vintage. The harmonics are too high strung and don't sound organic enough. The Duality always sounds like it has a similar problem. (The vintage microtubes is great and the alpha omega range sounds perfect for modern metal tone.) That noise gate though looks like a nifty little pedal board must-have if they got the attack right. Doesnt take up too much real estate but such an important feature people often miss.
Oh no, korg bought darkglass? So instead of the righteous ‘Made in Finland’, these cheaper products are now ‘Assembled in Finland” with parts Made in China, even though Korg is Japanese company
These have a nice look but a poor user experience. UX is just as important to design as any other aspect and they are sacrificing it to make them look tidy. I personally would not buy these pedals, thank you for the demo.
