That cinematic with Death vs. The Guardian, despite being lower-quality CGI than the ones for DS1, was epic AF. Death will always be the best Horseman. DS2 will always be the best Darksiders.
This was just a cinematic trailer, they never actually intended to put it to use, and it was just a kind of placeholder as they wanted it to look or be like, and when they made the actual game, they changed quite a bit from the way the game performs, the actions you can perform, and the guardian appearance and fight. However some people voted that they use it, and so they did.
They would have sell more games if it wasn't for the cartoonish art style, it looks more like WoW than an adventure game, it doesn't make any sense from an objetive point of view to be playing a game with mature content and strong blood at times with happy kids colours.
I presume you didn't play darksides I so I won't spoil. The endwar had to begin when the Thirt Kindom (Man) was capable enough to defend itself during the endwar. But Shit Happens, the Endwar started before all the seals were broken , apocalypse took place too early, so mankind was fucked up. War was send to earth during the battle, during the confusion he got "killed" and returned to wherever the horseman live. But then he was imprisioned by the council, they blame him for trigering the End War and breaking the law; War said he was called, that angels and deamons were already figthing. So the council decided to send him back to earth to clear his name. The rest is hisrtory, a fine piece of history. One of the best storys that I played in a game.
No a group of angels conspired against humanity and broke the law that was implemented by the charred council in which war was wrongfully accused of, the law was that the apocalypse would only be started when humans were ready to fight demons and angels but we weren’t so... humanity was destroyed
I want to see a trailer with humanity's armies battling the angels and demons. They'd obviously fail and get slaughtered, as we know, in the end they went extinct. But how long did they survive? Did they put up a good fight or fall quite easily?
There is a DLC in DK II were you can meet the last human. I didn't play it because my pc can't run the game with enough fps, so I can't really know what happened. But it was all a slaugther as far as I know.
