You're new to 40k lore? Well that was a very well researched video then. I can't say you missed anything so far. But i think the story is evolving with the latest patch bc theres a ton of new voice lines and interactions on the comms in the morning star. I think the commadore and the pilot are up to something 🤔
You actually covered it all really well. I HIGHLY doubt we’ll see genestealers, but a chaos psyker of nurgle is most likely going to be our “final boss.” Wouldn’t be surprised if it was like Jedi Fallen Order where the goal is “ESCAPE!” And even when you do rannick shoots us for being tainted.
It's nice and neat to speculate upcoming content, but do they ever like to take their sweet time with releasing it. I'd like to see and ultimately think we'll probably see, an expansion into the upper hive and probably even another hive city, but whether or not this will be a DLC or just Darktide 2 is still up in the air. There is always a space marine fanboy in me and that space marine fanboy wants to see a game like Darktide with marines in it. It's fun to play as is, very fast pace, but I'd like to see it from a larger scale, plus with the amount of crap they throw at you in Darktide, come on, it's time for the Emperor's own to show up
Darktide is a good game! However it could be great! For example the only way to get the cool looking gear is locked behind a pay wall using aquila, an in game currency the only way to get the aquila is to pay real world money for it! Unlike the most recent game helldivers 2! Where the cool looking gear is locked behind a pay wall using special in game currency where you can find all across the different planets you visit, every session has a chance to get these in game currency! For free!! There also an option to buy it using real world currency but the point is that the special currency to buy the cool looking gear is available in the actual gameplay of helldivers 2!! Darktide is a good game but the greed has corrupted it and made it fall from favor as everyone jumped on helldivers 2.
They did make a devblog showing they're gonna overhaul some stuff like penances (challenges), as well as weapon acquisition RNG. they're also overhauling some other stuff I can't care to remember. There's a good amount of content coming, and the game's heading in a healthy direction.
