i got into warhammer because a guy remove plastic bits of his new dwarfes for about 2 hours for 2 weeks, and then watch it build it and paint it for 2 hours every day for a month. after that i got a Adeptus Mechanicus that were on sale. Read the lore ALL HAIL THE TOASTER

I got infected from Paradox games. People talking about Prussia having "Space Marines" in EU4(in the renaissance), that sounded cool. Read a little of the lore and was like "Shiiiiiiiet". Then i played Stellaris and the trap closed haha.
You actually covered it all really well. I HIGHLY doubt we’ll see genestealers, but a chaos psyker of nurgle is most likely going to be our “final boss.” Wouldn’t be surprised if it was like Jedi Fallen Order where the goal is “ESCAPE!” And even when you do rannick shoots us for being tainted.

The crafting system is legit the most Asinine shit I’ve ever experienced in a co op shooter. I’ve been playing the game and exclusively bonk Ogryn for a little over a week and I got INCREDIBLY lucky and got a 376 slab shield… that was immediately ruined with “8% melee crit chance” and “thunderous strikes” so now I have a 367 slab with great stats that is 100% the best item I own but getting there has eaten literally EVERYTHING I have earned so far. I have single digits of every currency left. I at least went in knowing what to look for. I can’t imagine how this game was before
Started with Darktide. Listened to lore. Now painting my first tech priest figure. I praise the Omnissiah on team chat everytime I fix something in my IT job. I plan a tatoo with "the Emperor protects" inscription. Send help.
this and space marine 2 is the kind of stuff that has me reconsidering buying another warhammer game after they sent fan content like text to speech into the warp
Oddly I escaped after playing it for 10 years, then last year after a break of 18 years I thought "I will just have a look at what has changed". Now I am back to being sucked into the eye of terror that is lore hunting and painting Kill teams.........
Been on the darktide train for a while just out of habit and yeah, the shit ass crafting system is really preventing me from being able to take the game even semi seriously, to the point where a new map / objectives don't really change anything, since it was a pain in the ass enough to get one build going in the first place.
There's something wrong with you then, or you are deluded. Currently you okay a few hours, get a couple thousand plaateel, buy bases, upgrade the good ones a d see what ylu csn mske. It's near instant apart for, you know, playing the game. After the patch you're going to need to grind to unlock ANYTHiNG. Stop complaining and think about how stats don't actually matter in this game in the slightest. If you really care, get the perks and blessings you want in any trash, I guarantee it'll make no difference when you can remake it later as quad 80. Except you can't. Because you guys don't actually play enough. You just moan .
I also really like the lines the characters say when they slay special, elite and boss enemies. It's like mini-celebrations of the kill they made and it makes it feel like the characters are active in what's happening in the gameplay
I was quite shocked when what i thought was gonna be some normal voice lines turned into a full conversation between most of the squads characters, mine refused to join because it was an intellectual conversation and i was on my ogryn 😂

I was peripherally aware of 40k, and was a mild Warhammer Fantasy fan. It wasn't until Vermintide that I fully became a Warhammer Fantasy fan. It wasn't until Darktide that I was fully corrupted. Psykers and Zealots are just so goddamn fun. I have never and will never buy models. Well...maybe just one, for the Emperor.
