So here we are with a gameplay and character guide for Darli Dagger, the latest DLC character in The King of Fighters XV! Not quite a full Tips and Tricks guide, but enough knowledge here to help make you dangerous! Darli has always been a very cool character and I am glad she finally gets to shine on past the Samurai Shodown games!

Hey so here we are with a guide for Darli Dagger, the latest KoF XV dlc! Its not quite the big hour long Tips and Tricks guides but well... honestly... that SF6 beta is coming up and my focus is gonna be on that when it happens, so I figured I put out some day 1 content for you to help you understand what Darli is all about since I won't be able to focus on KoF come the SF6 beta days. I am VERY Happy with how Darli has translated over to KoF, big neutral, big damage, fun times.

Some other things about the hammer HP is basically a different move it reflects with no charge and is an overhead with no charge

@@kikyska4813 as maybe the #1 vice fan... naw not really. Darli is cool and all and I guess on paper some things are sorta similar, but she's no replacement for vice

I wouldn't mind if SamSho teams became a standard thing in future KoF games. Their weapon-based normals add some nice variety to combat and SamSho is the biggest SNK series besides KoF.

Fatal Fury was a way bigger deal than SamSho back in the day when they made them.

@@cyphisage Ehhh, I don’t know about that. I grew up playing a ton of both and love both series, but SamSho 1 was very popular, so much so that it actually gave SF2 a run for its money and was critically acclaimed, I love Fatal Fury 2/Special, which was out at the time, but it really didn’t do that the way SamSho did. I’m pretty sure the order goes KOF>SamSho>Fatal Fury>AOF when it comes to the popularity of SNK’s major fighting game franchises. Which is exactly why the SamSho series went on for longer than Fatal Fury and is still around today, it's literally the only other SNk fighting game that's still surviving alongside KOF. But we are finally getting a new Fatal Fury thankfully. Regardless, Fatal Fury definitely wasn’t a “way” bigger deal than SamSho by any stretch no matter how you look at it.

@@cyphisage That's true, but other than the Garou gang, almost all of Fatal Fury's most popular characters are KoF mainstays at this point.

Another thing not mentioned, Darli is really good on point because she doesn't need a lot of meter. She hits like a freight train. SO MUCH FUN.

So right now kinda everything is leading up to the 3 betas this month, SF6 beta begins in a couple of days on the 7th! After that completes the Strive crossplay beta begins on the 13th! And reminder that beta is free for everyone, even if you don't own the game! Some nebulous time after that at the end of the month is the Xrd rollback beta too!

With 3d models there's no need for mirroring To the point where some games had to specifically implement mirroring just to maintain the look of a 2d fighter

It's been awhile since we last seen a new character guide. It may not be the BIG Tips and Tricks guide, but I'm glad we got it nonetheless. Of the three from the SamSho team, Darli interests me the most. Since she can get big damage even with little meter, I can see her being a point character.

As someone who played samsho, it's very amusing to see how some of her moves translate over. Like her crouching heavy punch is a medium slash in samsho. She's strong enough in samsho that her *medium* got upgraded to a heavy in kof.

So Darli confuses me a bit from a design perspective, never played the new (now old) samurai game so never tried her. lol why are there water effects on some of her attacks and what is up with her weapon? it changes shapes? It breaks and replenishes? Just my 2cents lol

There are water effects because she's a shipbuilder and it doesn't change shape she uses a bunch of different inplements from her toolbox

Playerbase never been the issue as people play kof all around the world, its the friggin matchmaking thats the problem. For right now, the current issues are not addressed, but will be fixed come the Season 2 patch early next year when crossplay for everything is added.

It just surprises me that people want guides as soon as the character releases. I swear they’re afraid of experimenting. They go out of their way to make their games as easy as possible and then tell you they want a “challenge”.

Darli reprise more her outfit to Elena of Street Fighter especially the chest, but her is taller like 3 cm, 186cm like Dolores against 183cm to Elena! A perfect African Trio if maked Capcom vs Snk 3, or SFxKOF! Bye!
